     the cavalry captain was a man who easily stole people ' s hearts . their impression of the man was filled with adoration and admiration for his strength . so it wasn ' t a surprise when he was caught to be a heart throb among the women of mondstadt — with the exception of his fellow coworkers who he respected —

     yet another thing that was prominently known about him was that he was able to handle his alcohol intake well . many could support this claim multiple times , especially knights taken under his wing to train and to command . after all , he was the one who always suggested they take a quick stop at angel ' s share .

     the renowned tavern under the name of the ragnvindrs . the very family that took him in as their own and cared for him like a son but also the family whose heir has shunned him out due to a conflict he himself started .

     it didn ' t take a genius to figure out that he came to the tavern for stress relief or to taunt and annoy the red headed owner . mostly the latter . but that was the public ' s interpretation . his reason was truly to converse and indulge himself in drowning in gorgeous ( e / c ) eyes .

     to his fellow vision holding coworkers , it was no secret that he had taken interest in the ( h / c ) server . whenever one was to encounter the man stumbling his way into the knight ' s chambers at night , they ' d always overhear his slurs for his likings on the person . it was always a topic to bring up whenever they , themselves had a break to drink .

⠀⠀and today was one of those days . the group of friends trotted in , surprising the customers at the sudden arrival of the acting grandmaster and even the chief alchemist along with his assistant . they chatted away amongst their selves , creating a cheerful atmosphere in the mellow establishment .

     kaeya took a seat in front of his favourite server who leaned over the counter beside a red head who cleaned empty glasses . he greeted them both , receiving minimal responses such as a grunt and a nod . deciding to get closer , he propped his elbows on the wood , placing his chin atop his intertwined fingers to come face to face with ( name ) .

     they raised an eyebrow , suspicious of the captain ' s actions as they could feel his cool breath , hinted with a minty smell , fan on their face . lisa quipped in with a faked surprised gasp , seeming taken aback by the sight that unfolded but she soon tutted and crossed her arms .

     " my my , kaeya ' s getting bolder by the minute and we haven ' t even started "

     eula lowly chuckled , ordering the usual orders which got the two to proceed working on their drinks . the blue haired man grumbled about how the quick moment was cut short . he lazily rested his cheek on his right palm , watching them move around to grab the essential ingredients for the mixture of his concoction .

⠀⠀it was like muscle memory to them , knowing fully well how he liked it . they were done in a jiffy , setting down the cup before going back to also mix in the others . kaeya grabbed the handle in his hand , swirling the drink around the rim before taking a swig and letting out a satisfied sigh afterwards .

     amber gasped in offense , scolding her superior about how they were supposed to make a toast which left him sweat dropping . but from the corner of his left eye , he saw that they were simpering at the sight which caused a small smile to creep up his lips .
