A/N Lena made Kara's armour suit in a suit that can replicate a kryptonian's powers, also Lena built a monument for Kara at the site of the explosion

Lena put took the helmet off and let out a deep sigh. The navy helmet fell to the ground like a finished cigarette, tears fell from Lena's green eyes, her gloved fist slammed into the wall.

"Why did you have to die"

Alex ran in and found the broken Luthor, "Shh, it's ok" she wrapped her arms around her friend

"Why did I even date James, this is all my fault, she wouldn't be gone if I wasn't an idiot"

The red head wiped her own tears "It's not your fault, it's been 4 years you need to stop blaming yourself"

"I know Alex, but each time I put on the suit...an image of her smiling comes back"

Alex turned Lena, so that she would be facing her "Look at me Luthor, would our Overly Cheery Kara want us to mopping around about her?"

"Right" Lena wiped her tears "I'm going to go to the monument"

At the monument

Lena set her punch of plumeria onto the black marble along side many other bouquets

"Kara loved plumerias" The brunette whispered, some writing on the monument caught Lena's eye, she walked over slowly

Lena took out a little red box and placed it on her chest, the suit engulfed her body, she took off to the nearby woods, she landed with a thud

"Anyone there" She called out, only a bird squawked back, Lena turned to leave but she heard her name being called weakly

"Hello, who is there?" The Heroine slowly walked further into the green

"Please" The voice begged

Lena froze, Kara was lying her body was covered in burns and blood, gashes that Lena would have sworn she saw bone in, the suit was tattered missing half of the 'El' logo, one of her boots gone. Her face bruised over completely, Kara's usually perfect hair was ripped, she let out a groan

"I see someone took the mantel in my absence"

The Luthor took of her helmet, she didn't even try to stop the tears that escaped her eyes "Ka...kara Your ali..." her voice failed her

The blonde set her back "yeah, and everything hurts"

"Right I'm so sorry" Lena put her helmet back and and gently picked up the kryptonian

"Look at that, how time changes things"

At DEO

Lena called out for the older Danvers sister

Alex came rushing in, tears fell from her eyes as she saw Kara

"Get a medic now"

The agents did as they were told, Kara was whisked away to be taken care off

"How did you find her, actually how is she alive"

"We both need a drink" Lena sighed

10 mins later

The Luthor went to check on the super, She was cleaned up, but still in a dire state

"So what happened to James" The blonde asked from her hospital bed

"Nothing you can prove" Lena tried to lighten the mood

She earning a pained laugh from Kara

"You know I never got to follow up on that kiss"

"Kara, love. It was amazing, but you got killed because of it"

"Well look at me now, I'm still breathing aren't I"

"You don't look the best, Well not in beauty your a goddess but like in...imma stop talking now"

"So, your the new Supergirl"

"Well several people have tried to fill your red boots, but most have failed, I've done good so far, and anyway since your back I can stop"

"About that, my 'death' may have caused me to loose my powers....permanently"

"So your human?"

"Well not exactly, I'm still kryptonian in the sense just no powers"

Lena set her hand on Kara's bruised one "I'll figure a way to get them back"

The blonde shook her head "it's fine, I need to retire, live on a farm do human things, Well retire with you of course"

"I like the sound of that"

They kissed gently

"But for now, you are my hero Lena Luthor"
