This is a Kara x reader, I know this has been done thousands of times but I wanna write it, some back story, Your kryptonian, same story as Kara, you found Kara, and quickly fell for her, so did Kara. You also decided to become a hero like Kara, you took the name Shadow.

Your pov

I looked at Kara as we flew through the city, I snapped back to reality as we arrived at the bank, people were being held hostage.

"Shadow, Clear the area, I'm going in" Supergirl orders, I nod and do as I'm told

As soon as I finish I return to the bank, using my X-ray vision I watch Kara bargain, Before Kara could react she was shot in the shoulder.

I yell her superhero name and smash through the wall

The kidnapper threatens to shot me

"Who are you working for" I hiss at him

"She wants you to come with me, and I'll let Supergirl live" He says, his voice muffled through his mask

I look down at the bleeding krytonian, I can't let her die

I groan in annoyance.

"Shadow don't do it, please" Kara begs, the man stands on her shoulder

She cries out, "Stop it" I practically yell at him

I could tell he was smirking under his mask

He grabs my arms and pulls me away, I glance one more time at Kara, I could see that she was crying

I let him pull me away, "Let me be brave" I mutter to myself

A sharp pain on my neck disturbs my thoughts, Before I could fight back, everything goes black

A sudden wash of cold water wakes me up, I blink a few time, I take in the surroundings, I was in a white cell, there was nothing but a pillow, I let a deep sigh and try my com, It's gone, Of course

3 days later.

I punch the wall, It didn't do anything, my powers were down, Three full days of nothing but a white room, I knew it was a tactic to drive me mad, So I occupied myself, formed a training routine, wrote stories in my head, slept a lot, and thought about Kara.

I hear some muffled talking, the door opens, a man walks in, I Lean against the back wall

"Hi" i say to him

"With me now" he orders

I scoff "And why would I do that?"

He pulls out a kryptonite blade "Or I put this in your stomach"

I follow him down the hallway, it was just as white as my cell

I'm brought to a chair, I sit down, a couple men tie me up

A woman walks out, she was a blond, She was quite pretty, She was wearing a pant suit "So your Shadow, I'm Vanessa" she offers her hand for a handshake, Her British accent was sickly

I offer my foot which isn't tied up

She pulls away "I see you find yourself funny, anyway, I know you care for Supergirl, so You do what I say I won't touch her, you have my word"

I snort "Why would I trust you blondie?"

She shows me a photo of Kara, "You wouldn't want your little reporter hurt do we"

I bite me lip so I wouldn't cuss at her

"Ok fine, but if you lay a finger on her your dead" I hiss at her

"Very good"

She unties me, and throws me a mask, it was hard black plastic

"Your going to steal some tech from L-Corp for me"

She gives me a black hoodie with a pair of jeans, "Go change, also you will be working with someone"

Some men escort me back to my cell, I change, a man walks in

"Hello sweetie, I'm Bill" I recognise his voice, the kidnapper

"The name isn't sweetie" I snap at him

Time skip at L-Corp

I hold a gun at Lena, while my partner finds the device, I hated it.

I look up to find Kara smash through the window

I drop the gun and put up my fist

"Let's go" Bill yells at me

Kara's eyes widen as she recognise his voice

She lunges at him, I block the attack and push her to the side

"Who are you?" She hisses recovering

I hear Vanessa over the com "Say your worst nightmare"

I repeat her words "Your worst nightmare"

Thankfully my voice was muffled, Kara went to attack again, I dodged easily

I used my laser vision I burnt a hole in the roof causing debris to fall giving us time to escape

I pick up Bill and fly us away somewhere safe.

Kara pov

I flew back to the DEO and slammed my fist into the desk, shocking Brainy

"Ok, that guy took Y/N, I recognise his voice, and that other girl is alien, We need to find them now" I practically yell at Alex

"Kara calm down, we'll find her" Alex comes over to hug me, but I refuse

I take a deep breath "Brainy check for any alien with An interest with L-Corp tech" Alex orders

A single tears goes down my face.

Your pov

I slam my fist onto Vanessa desk "You never said Supergirl would be there"

"Now, now shadow, Manners, Your next mission, You need to rob a bank on 53rd, There will be a red safe, in it will be a vile, You will take it, Your going solo"

I grit my teeth, and walk away, I didn't have a choice

I put my mask back on and I flew away

I found the bank and I broke the door

"Everyone get down" I yell

The security guard fires, the bullets bounce of me

I walk past everyone to the safe

I brake the lock, and pull away the heavy metal door, it was nothing, I found the safe, I ripped off the door and took the vile

Once again I'm met by Supergirl

"Drop it" She hisses, she looked so patriotic in the suit, And angry, sadly I was the blunt of it.

"No" I shrug

She shoots her lasers at me, I deflected with mine. We both stop, but before Kara could realise I flew away

I arrived back at the Base

"Ok, I got what you wanted now let me go" I say to Vanessa

"No, no sweetie, We have just started"

I feel like punching her but I walk away to my cell, There isn't anything I can do.

I sit down against the wall, I look my costume, I missed being a hero, I hated being the villain

Suddenly the door opens up and Bill walks in

"Stand up" He orders

Lazily I obey, Before I could do anything, he delivers a punch to my gut, I groan, as I stagger back

"Dude what the heck?"

He smiles and punches me again, and again, until I fall

I try to fight back but without my powers I'm nothing, he pulls me up by my collar, I spat some blood on his face and offered a weak smile, He yells in frustration and starts punching me senselessly, My vision starts to blur, Once he finishes I can't even move my limbs, he set me up against the wall, and takes a picture.

"Fuck You" I mumble before I loose consciousness

Kara pov

I flew into the DEO, Alex had texted me, some bad news.

"Ok what is it" I ask

Brainy Picked up his tablet and projected a picture

"Y/N kidnappers sent us this" Alex said

It was a picture of y/n beaten up, Bloody

I feel my blood boil, In frustration I slam my fist into the wall leaving a hole in the concrete

I storm off, tears sting my eyes.

I will find her

4 months later

I groan in frustration, another attack by Y/N kidnappers, There quick and they have an alien, everyone and a while they send a picture of a beaten up y/n.

I fly back to my appartement, I stop, Why is the window shattered, slowly fly through the broken glass.

I slowly approach the light switch, "Who's there" I concentrated my superhearing

A slow breath becomes apparent, I turn the light on to find the alien on my sofa.

I immediately get ready for a fight.

"Where is she?" I hiss at the intruder

The Alien shrugs "Believe me I would love to tell you"

I look at her "So you know?"

"Yes and no, it's a long story, Look, please stop trying to stop me, the faster I get the job done the faster I get home"

I snort "Why would I let you go, your standing in front of me?"

"Because we have Shadow, And you don't want her dead?"

"I can take you as a hostage" I take a step forward

Her heartbeat speeds up "NO, Don't, They will kill you, they know who you are" She stood up

"What, why are you protecting me?"

"Ok if you take me, they will kill you, let me go you live"

"I can hide" I offer, I need to get y/n back

"No, they will kill you, how many time do I have to tell-" before she could finish I punched her gut

She fell back

"Tell me Where Shadow is now"

"I can't" I lift her up and push her against the wall

I punched her mask, it shattered, she cried out in pain as the plastic cut her face

I let her fall down.

She rolled over, I finally get a good look at her face...

"Y/N" i mumble

"Hey Kara" She says

I stagger back "why am I hurting you? Why are you robbing places, I saw you beaten up, are you evil now-" I start to ramble

"No, I was blackmailed into doing stuff, the used you against me, They threatened to kill you, I had to I'm sorry" She explains

I help her up, and we both sit down on my sofa

"So your the Alien"

"Yup" She says popping the 'p'

"Well your safe now, They can't hurt you, we can stop them together" I think of a plan

I open my mouth to speak but I'm disturbed by Y/N lips on mine

She pulled away, her cheeks heated up

"I'm sorry"

I smile and I cup her face and kiss her

We both pull away to catch our breath.

I look at her, "I'm sorry for attacking you" I apologise

"It's ok"

I place a peck on Y/N lips.

"You know I have to go back" She sighs

I grab her hand "Yeah, This will be between us, and next time we meet on the opposite side, I'm going to stop you" I say to her

She smiles "please do"
