Kara POV

I looked at myself in the mirror, I looked a mess, my hair was all over the place, my makeup was smudged, my eyes were puffy, I lift the strand of hair that covered my birth mark

The symbol was like a chain, holding me back, people looked down at my chain, it held me back

Who knew a logo that my cousin proudly had on his chest be the pain of my life, or the fact that he was the golden boy and I was outcast the weirdo, the loner, the one who was laughed at, the orphan

My mark started to glow again, burning my face, I let out a scream, I try to apply pressure only making it worse.

"Please stop" I beg as tears that would usually fall from my face evaporate into steam

The pain stopped, I let a gasp as try to catch my breath

"Kara you better be making dinner" My foster father yells

"Yes I am " I quickly fixed my hair and covered my mark

I ran downstairs and started dinner

Time skip next day

I grabbed my bag and books and ran to catch the bus

I sat down, my mark started to burn again

I looked up,

Lena Luthor walked past me, of course, every time she is near my it burns

Doesn't help that I have a crush on her, but to be honest it's hopeless, she was the most beautiful girl in the school, and also already had a girlfriend, so every time I see her it's like someone is stabbing me and my marks burns it's a bonus

The bus stopped, a couple students screamed, there was a fight outside, my cousin well superman was fighting a villain, I knew my cousin would defeat him, he always does, he is the golden boy.

Suddenly Clark gets thrown onto the bus

I stand up and run out, I look at my only family, I checked his pulse, he was still breathing, the villain started to approach the bus.

I rip of Clark's cape, I wrap it around my face and over my shoulder

"Sorry Buddy" I apologise to my cousin, he liked that cape

I made sure my face was covered, I threw my backpack on the ground and slip my glasses off and put them into my pocket

"Get away from the bus" I yell at the villain

"What are you going to do about it, your just a teenager" He yells

I felts like all the eyes of the students were glued on me

I started to float of the ground

"Oh so your junior" He taunts

"I'm nothing like superman, I won't show mercy" I yell

I fly right at him, I deliver a hard blow to his chest knocking him back

I punch him repeatedly in the face

A bit of blood trickled out of his mouth

"Please I beg you stop" He says

"Never" I yell, I punch him again

I get ready for the final blow, my arm gets held back

"Hey who do you think.." I turn around to see Lena

"Don't  kill him, please, everyone has the right to live and you have no right to judge him" Lena says

I could see fear in her green eyes

My marks starts to burn

I let the villain fall down

"Thank you" Lena says

She lifts her hand away

"Do I know you" she says with genuine curiosity

I feel my cheeks getting warmer

I fly into the air, I fly to the school campus and hide behind the school

"Shit, I forgot my backpack" I let out a groan

I pull the cape off my face and shoulder and fix my hair and hide the cape underneath the dumpster and put my glasses on

I walk to my locker

I feel a tap on my shoulder

"Hey you forgot your backpack, you just disappeared" I turn around to see Lena holding my backpack

"Thank you, sorry I got scared and I ran away" I say

My mark burns

I take my backpack from her hands and close my locker and walk away

I walk into my class, it was math, my worst subject, you would think the last daughter of krypton an advanced planet would know how to do long divisions

Nope, I'm just excited for the day I can drop out and that will be it

"Ok class today we are covering.." the teacher says

I zone out

"Kara" the teacher says catching my attention

"Yes sir, you had me at ok" I answer his question before he even asked

"Ms. Danvers, don't me sassy with me, if you are I will have to put you in detention" He says crossing his arm

I like detention, it kept me away from home

"Well you do have a whole class to teach, so I can just do it in detention if you want" I start packing me stuff

He knew I liked detention, it's not like I cared

"You know what I'm not giving you detention, I will report this to your parents" He says

I stand up

"Good luck talking to the dead" I walk out

The bells rings, that was shorter than I thought

I walk down the hall, my my super hearing kicks in

"Did you see that girl this morning" one of the jock says

"Yeah Lena stopped her from killing that guy" another says

I think back to this morning, I wish I killed that guy, he would be better dead

Lena POV

I remember the look in the eyes of that girl, it's was weird, there was pure rage, as if she was letting everything out, there was another emotion that I couldn't recognise

I remember watching Kara walk out of math with the same manner, is she this vigilante

Could she, no I don't believe that, Kara wasn't like that, sure she was rude to teacher, but every time I talked to her she was a sweet adorable mess, stop that you have a girlfriend

I walked out of the class, my girlfriend Sam jumped out behind me

"Hey lee" she says

I plant a small peck on her lips

"Hey Sam"

"I can't make it for our date tonight" she says, she was trying to sound sad but she wasn't

"Why" I ask her plainly

"I've got something on" she says before walking away

This has been happening more and more often

Kara POV

As soon as the day was over, I ran out back to get the cape

"Hey lil cuz" Clark says holding his cape

"Hey Clark" I mumble

"Thanks for stopping the guy back there" He says

"Sorry for ripping your cape" I lean against the wall

"Kara what were you thinking you could have killed him" he says in a more serious tone

"Oh please he was fine"

"Are you crazy, that's not what the house of el stands for" he says

"Oh don't lecture me about the house of el, the all powerful family of krypton, there all dead deal with that already" I yell at him

"How dare you, I wear this symbol on my chest to carry on the legacy, you have been blessed with the mark" he says in return

I pull my hair away

"This, this is a curse, I hate it, and i hate everything that links to it, you were always the golden boy, well I wasn't lucky to get a perfect family like yours, never ever lecture me about who I am, because I know who I am, and I'm not a zor-el" I yell at him

He looked shocked, he dropped his cape and flew off.

I took the cape and stuffed it into my bag

I walked home, wasn't in the mood for a mouldy bus

I sat down on a public bench, I looked at the cape in my bag

Why did I keep it, i hate my legacy

I put on the cape the way I did earlier I hide my backpack under the bench and slipped my glasses in my pocket

I flew into the air

I saw an old pair of goggles lying on the ground, I picked them up, dusted them off a little bit

I put them on

I flew back to the campus, I sat on the roof

I looked at the students walking out of the hell hole

"Hey again" I hear a voice says

I float up and turn around only to find Lena

"Well Ms.Luthor what do I owe the pleasure" I say taking her hand and kissing it

She pulls away

"Taken" she sits down

I sit down beside her, my mark burns but I ignore it

"You have any relation with superman" she asks

"Oh that golden boy, he is my cousin" I explain to her

"Really, so your the last daughter of krypton"

"Yeah no, I don't like being called that, I have nothing to do that dead planet" I tell her

"Wow you are different from your cousin, he is proud of his legacy why aren't you" she asks

"Well I would ask you the same question but your clearly better than the other Luthors" I say to her avoiding the question

"Ha that's nice if you to say, but seriously why do you think different"

"We were both brought up differently" I tell her

"You guys don't live together" Lena concludes

"I know your trying to figure out who I am"

"Caught red handed" she let's out a chuckle

Wow she has a cute laugh

"If I told you my story would promise not to tell anyone"

"I promise"

I took a deep breath

"My family isn't the perfect family of krypton, they used me to capture my aunt, they are the ones that killed my planet" I let a put it was shaky

I felt Lena hand on my shoulder, my mark burns even more

I lift her hand off hand gently

"Sorry I was born with something, it burns sometimes, and your a factor"

"Oh I'm sorry" she says

"It's fine, it's a krytronian blessing apparently, I think it's a curse"

"Can I see it?" She asks

I slowly lift off my goggles

The symbol of the house of el over my left eye.

"Wow it's beautiful" Lena says gently rubbing her hand over it

"You think so" I say with genuine shock

"So who are you" Lena asks

I take off the cape and put my hair over my mark and slip on my glasses

"Surprise" I say sorta doing jazz hands

"Well Kara Danvers, it's nice to finally know you, you not as scary like this" Lena says with a slight smirk

"Oh so I'm scary with a cape over my face" I say playfully

We both slowly lean in, we pull away when hear a crash

I look at the campus, someone with a mask was Throwing a car

"Lena I got to go" I stand up

I take my glasses of and put on my goggles and put on the cape

I jump down causing the concrete to crack underneath me

This of course caught there attention

"Hey back off and no one gets hurt" I yell at her

"Oh hello, I'm reign and who might you be" She says flying towards me

"The person who is gunna kick your ass"

We both fly to each other

I stop mid flight

She has kryptonite

"What is Super Afraid" She taunts

"Let's fight this out like women and drop the kryptonite" I tell her

"You really think I'm going to do that" She says

"It was worth a shot"

I fly right at her and deliver a punch it wasn't as strong as it usually is but it did some damage

I fell to the ground, cracking the concrete

I stand up before getting pushed down again

Reign punched me repeatedly in the face

Once she finishes, I feel my face, one of my goggles lenses is shattered, my lip is busted there is a warm liquid going down my face

I cough a couple of times, I wipe my lips staining my hoodie red

"Is that all you got" I say getting up

"Reign stop" I hear Lena say

"No Lena are you stupid get out of here" I scream at Lena

"Lena get out of here" Reign says

"No" Lena says

She walk in front of me

My knees give way

"Reign if you want her you have to go through me" Lena says standing her ground

"Lee please go" Reign says with genuine concern

"Sam..." Lena lifts off reigns mask

"Lena I can explain" Sam says

"So this is why your cancelling our dates, I'm sorry I can date someone who does this" Lena says gesturing at Sam

"Fine then I can hurt you" reign says putting her mask back on

I yell Lena's name, I push her gently to the side and fly right into Sam

"You will never hurt her"

I punch her in the gut knocking her back

I find the kryptonite in her belt, I lift it out

I let out a groan as the stone burns my hand

I throw it away and absorb the sun

"Ok now it's a fair fight" I say punching her with my full force

Sam starts to retreat

"Oh no I'm not showing mercy" I say to her

I clap my hands together sending a sound wave

Everyone covered there ears

I break the ground and take a piece of concrete

I throw it into reign

She lands on the ground

I put my foot on her chest pushing her down

"Please, I'm sorry" She begs trying to move my foot

"Supergirl that's enough" Lena says

"Oh so Supergirl is my name" I say sarcastically

"Don't kill her, please she made a mistake we all do" Lena says

I keep the pressure on her chest and punch her knocking her out

I lift my foot

I fly away

I land back home and go straight to my room

I pull my cape off and sob on my bed

There was no way I could escape my legacy, it was imprinted on my face

There was a knock on my window

I look up to see Lena

"Oh my rao what are you doing" I say as I open my window

"Sorry" She says

"How do you even know where I live" I say as she sits on my bed

"I'm a Luthor, you didn't even clean yourself up, your still bloody"

"Oh yeah" I lick my finger and rub my forehead

"No stupid"

Time skip after cleaning wounds

"I'm sorry about Sam" I mumble

"It's ok I was planning to brake up with her anyway"

I lean in until our lips meet, I pull away

"I'm sorry" I say

Lena pulls me back in

"Never be sorry"
