It was just about lunch time as Lena got herself a glass of wine in her apartment to get rid of the feelings which were floating her. Hope was dematirialized and the linses were hidden in her bedroom.

One more day to go and she would expose Kara to the world. She would take away her secret identity and the so called hero would be broken.

In that moment her door breaks open and instead of the bubbly blonde reporter she expected a man in a cell suit with a black mask stood there, a gun pointing at the frozen CEO.

,,Lena Luthor you come with me than nothing happens to that girl you see", the man said with a deep voice.

,,And what if not?", she asked instead of doing as he said while her eyebrow found her way up.

The man was silent for a moment before he pulls the trigger and one of the bowls exploded into peaces not far away from Lena herself.

,,Than I'll make you come with me", he added, this time pointing the gun at her heart. ,,Don't try your games, Luthor. You'll pay for what you family did."

The scientist smiled knowingly and rolled her eyes although her heartbeat raced up faster than a train could get. ,,Oh really? Because I know that everybody who haunts one of us is going missing."

Bang.

It was about that time as a blue-red flash came through the broken door and caught the bullet which would have killed Lena in a blink of an eye.

,,You get yourself your time, Supergirl", Lena commented pretending not to know who she really was speaking too.

,,I'm sorry, Miss Luthor. Traffic was kinda hard", the Super answerd and smiled.

After the man was back in his cell and the police was gone and so was the hero Lena got herself even more alcohol and tried to regain her self-control back on. How she hated these guys with the guns. They got her always unexpected and unprepared so o great god-complexed Supergirl could save the day.

She scoffed and finished her glass of wine only to get another.

,,Knock, knock."

Her head turned around only to see the one she was waiting for lunchtime.

,,Kara." The blondes smile was small while her eyes and face was filled with worry.
,,I heard about a man here..are you fine? I would have been faster but I got caught up."

Lena almost forgot to breath as the lie escaped Karas lips just like the other ones before she knew.

,,Oh Kara. C'mon. We both know that you already have been here", she scoffed and turned towards the counter.

Kara frowned at her tone and shakes her head, caught off guard.
,,How so? I don't understand wha-"

,,Really? Because I do, Supergirl.", the CEO said with a cold voice.
,,I do unterstand now exactly. You lied to me. Just like all people I've known."

With an inner satisfining smile she saw in the corner of her eye that the heros face fell and the suprise in her eyes. ,,And just like everyone else you was using me for good. For your storys, as surce, as friend."
Her voice remaind cold but began to tremble.
Just lucky Kara couldn't see her face.

Minutes past where Lena ignored Karas words, excuses and her trying to explain everything and started to clean up the mess the man created instead.

After the floor was clean and the only thing that remembered at the incedent was the cracked lock at the door Lena sighs because Kara was still rembling and trying to get the attention of her former best friend.

More minutes past where Lena stayed silent before Kara stopped her begging voice and her attempt to get any reaction from the CEO.

,,For Rao's sake, Lena. Please...let me explain!", she started again. This time a little more careful, her voice smaller and quiet. Kara was almost begging for her to listen but the raven-haired shook her head and suddenly turned around to finally face Kara.

Tears were filling her eyes, tears she held back for weeks. Since she knew it.

,,No, Kara!", She said emphatically and her voice trembled slightly. ,,You don't get it, do you? I loved you! The whole time i loved you! Since James and I broke up..." She stopped herself before she lost her self-control.

Kara stands silent, shocked about her words. She was too scared that Lena would kick her out if she just say one word. And in this moment she realizied that Lena never told her the reason why she broke up.

It took several seconds for Lena to regain her self-control and continue.

,,I broke up with him not just because he didn't agree with me on my work. We manly broke up because I was in love with you, Kara."

Lena went silent again, unsure if she wanted to tell her. To tell her everything and to let her in. But she had to. She wanted to reach her aim and go on and for that she had to leave Kara forever behind. She wanted to hurt her and show her how much it hurts when a Person turned out as a completly stranger.

,,...and i wanted to tell you. But you weren't here. Then my brother came in the way, Eves betrayal and i got caught up in my analyses with your Sister and Supergirl to help her to finde the truth", She almost spit the word Supergirl out with so much frustration that Kara shrinked.

,,Than you, Kara, showed up and only wanted information. You didn't even seemed interested how I was and i was angry and hurt so you was the one i blamed...thanks to Brainy and your Interview with Dreamer...no, Nia I realized that I was the one who disappointed you in first place. So i went to you and opend up. We went to Kasnia...and as this bomb exploded I thought I lost you and I was so scared about you because I thought I would never come to tell you."

Another Pause. Kara adjusted her glasses, her eyes filled with guilt and uncertainty. Contrary to her expectations Lena doesn't felt satisfied at all. She felt guilty to be the reason of Karas pain.

,,But you weren't hurt and I couldn't bring myself to say it. And then you went to the president and he was with Lex and I didn't know what happed and I was worried again. And then....Supergirl was fighting with my brother, he disappeared and I was waiting for him, I shoot him..and then...he told me. I saw you. You – using powers only Supergirl had. And I couldn't believe it. My best friend, my crush for more than a year, lied to me. You are Supergirl. And you never told me."

Besides the accusation, there was also sadness and despair in her voice and her eyes as she finally looked back at Kara.

,,Was it because I am a Luthor?"

Shock was that what would discribe Karas feelings best. Shock and sadness. Because she feels the same way Lena feels or better felt for her. She loves Lena.
In so much more ways than she loved Mon-El.
There was nothing that would excuse her. Because it was true. She lied. For three years, every day.

,,No, Lee..na. Of course not. I wanted to protect you although you are a badass, you are tough and one of the best persons I know. Everything I said was true. You are a kindharted, beautiful soul. And..."

,,Kara! You don't get it. You lied to me. For Years! Every day. And I loved you. You don't need to protect me. I thought I could finally trust somebody in my life who was there and only saw me as whom i was! And now...everybody knew. You are worst than my brother or my mother", She said it. She really said it.

And than she saw the whole pain in Karas face. The pain, the guilt and sadness. And for one second she felt satisfied because Kara was hurt like she was.

,,I...i did", Kara stuttered after seconds that felt like an eternity, her bubbly happy face and nature gone. There was more guilt and pain in her voice than Lena had expected.

,,I lied. And it was wrong, I should have trusted you because I know you better than everyone."

,,As I said two years ago. People who are unmasked can easily admit mistakes. And you knew that I can never trust someone who lied to me again", Lena snorted and turned to the couch to sit down again.

,,So if there is nothing else you want to say you can leave the same way you came, Miss Danvers." Out of the corner of her eye she saw Kara flinch again and almost regret her words.

,,I am sorry, Lena. For everything I did to you. I was hurtung you..just like everyone else and I'm so so sorry", her voice was trembelibg and tears filled her eyes.
,,But I love you. Although you don't love me anymore."

First there was nothing than silence between them than she felt a gust of wind as Kara leaves out of the window.

And with that the emptiness returned. Accompanied by regret and the wish Kara would come back to her.

Hey there.
Yes, i know this peace is not as great as it could be but it was an idea how Lena could have confronted Kara before the day where Kara tells her and everything went how it was in the show.

I personally wished Lena would talk to Kara about it and don't play with her although i unterstand her point of view.
