In this announcement chapter, I am gonna talk about:

🐟 The AI issues.
🐟 Increase in the number of entries + changes in some rules.
🐟 Beginning of judging Period.
🐟 Number of days required for the judges to judge books.

🐟 The AI issues🐟:

•For the past few days, I know some people are concerned about some participants using AI tools to generate stories and are winning numerous awards using them, which is completely unfair to all the other participants.

•To test the thing myself, I ran some tests on 5 to 6 AI detectors, and the results only blew my mind.

•Nearly 3 detectors showed AI-generated percentages even though I wrote the chapter myself, without using such tools, not even for grammar. Only 2 of them showed zero percentages, which all of them should have shown. If you are curious about which chapter I used to test out, it's this chapter. So feel free to check it on your own. I feel totally devastated about this whole thing. 🤦 At first, the detectors showed some high percentages yesterday, but when I tested them out today, they are showing lower percentages. I don't know how to feel about all of this, because I can understand the other authors who use such tools only for grammar purposes. And as someone also uses it for grammar, I really don't know where this is all gonna lead and end up.

•So in conclusion, I am not gonna believe in these detectors anymore. Instead, I will personally check the books before assigning them to the judges. Believe me, I have a keen eye for spotting these things, so don't think any of you can fool me. The judges have a keen eye too, they are 'judges' for a reason. So don't think you can escape if you get caught.

•I tell y'all again, using AI tools for grammar, punctuation, or some descriptive purposes is fine, because no one is perfect with anything and most of us are not completely fluent in the language as if it's our mother tongue. So, it's completely alright to use such tools for your own improvement and to enhance your books' qualities. However, what matters is that you learn from it and not just take advantage of the tools, manipulating them for your own pleasure and winning prizes with a story generated entirely by AI.

🐟Increase in the number of entries + changes in some rules 🐟

•Alrighty, y'all, I have decided to increase the number of entries to 7.

•Previously, we had 4 entries, 2 in individual category and another 2 in special category. But now, I have decided to make it as 7, with 3 in individual category and 4 in special category.

•Additionally, I have decided to not restrict submitting the same book in multiple categories. So it's a free-filling now! You can submit the same books to as many categories as you want.

•However, you can only have 7 entries in total. And you can't submit more than one book in the same category, but you can submit the same or different books to other categories.

•Also, there's a slight change in the number of chapters needed for your book to be accepted.

•Previously, I said you must have 3 strong chapters excluding prologue, character introduction, about the book, etc. But now, I have decided to change the rule for only the special category : you can submit a book even if it has only one chapter, BUT, the book must be completed, not ongoing. If it's an ongoing one, then it must follow the rule of having 3 strong chapters of the story. The rule for individual category is not changed.

🐟Beginning of Judging Period🐟

•Yup, the beginning of the judging period has been decided.

•We will begin the judging from 17th July, but only for the categories with 5 or more entries.

•The categories with 5 entries (or more) will be closed for further submissions on July 16th. But the categories with fewer than 5 entries will remain open until they reach the minimum requirement(5 or more entries) for judging.

•So go ahead and fill out your form, and make any necessary edits to your book before July 16th!

🐟 Number of days required for the judges to judge books🐟

• I have decided that the judging process for each category will be 14 days long. Judges, do you agree with this timeframe? Or do you need more time? If you do, then don't hesitate to tell me.

•Do comment down your thoughts on this by considering the maximum number of books you committed to judge in your form. Also, I haven't yet decided whether to start judging multiple categories simultaneously or one category at a time, as there aren't much participants for now.

•However, the individual category will likely begin judging all at once. If you prefer judging categories one by one, please let me know. I am open to both ways : judging all categories together or sequentially. But your opinion matters more to me.
