Judging Criteria for Individual categories :

•Design and aesthetics: Evaluate the visual appeal, artwork quality and overall design elements.

•Catchy and unique: If the cover grabs attention and stands out among others.

•Relevance to the story: Consider how well the cover reflects key themes, characters or settings.

•Overall appeal: The general attractiveness and professionalism of the cover design.

2. 🐟 Title (5 points) 🐟

•Creativity and uniqueness: Originality and creativity in choosing the title.

•Ability to stand out: Assess if the title distinguishes itself from other books and intrigues potential readers.

•Relevance to the story: Consider how well the title represents the main themes of the book.

•Attractive to readers: If the title is appealing and likely to draw readers' interest.

3. 🐟 Blurb (5 points) 🐟

•Conciseness and clarity: Evaluate how effectively the blurb summarizes the story without giving away too much.

•Intrigue and engagement: Assess if the blurb captures attention of readers to want to know more.

•Overview of the story: If the blurb effectively outlines the main plot points and themes.

•Good grammar and punctuation: Check for grammatical correctness, punctuation, and overall readability.

4. 🐟 Characters (15 points) 🐟

•Depth, growth and evolution: The development of characters throughout the story.

•Portrayal of emotions, identity, and personalities: Judge how well the characters' emotions and personalities are portrayed.

•Interaction with other characters: Evaluate dynamics and relationships between characters.

5. 🐟 First Chapter Impression (10 points) 🐟

•Strong opening: If the first chapter effectively hooks the reader and sets the stage for the story.

•Introduction of the main character and initial conflict: How well the main character is introduced and the conflict is established?

•Setting the tone: Consider if the first chapter sets the mood and atmosphere of the story.

6. 🐟 Pace of the Story (10 points) 🐟

•Smooth flow of events: Evaluate the coherence and progression of events throughout the story.

•Balance between scenes: Assess the pacing between faster-paced and slower-paced scenes.

•Consistency in storytelling: Evaluate if the pace aligns with the narrative style and enhances the reader's experience.

•Character development and sexual elements: Consider if the pace of any sexual elements aligns with character development and story progression. If there are any sexual scenes, are they too quick to be introduced into the story despite the characters' emotions not developed quite well?

7. 🐟 Creativeness + Plot (15 points) 🐟

•Originality of the plot: The uniqueness and freshness of the storyline.

•Unique elements and twists: Unexpected and innovative elements in the plot.

•Innovative use of the main character: Consider if the protagonist's role and actions contribute to the originality of the plot.

8. 🐟 Writing Style (10 points) 🐟

•Narrative voice and style: Evaluate the author's voice and narrative style.

•Readability and engagement: Assess if the writing style maintains reader interest and flows well.

9. 🐟 Grammar (10 points) 🐟

•Correct grammar and punctuation: Check for accuracy in grammar and punctuation throughout the book.

•Sentence structure and coherence: Evaluate the clarity and coherence of sentences and paragraphs.

•Overall clarity: Assess if the writing is clear and easy to understand.

10. 🐟 Interest of the Story (10 points) 🐟

•Captivating and maintaining interest: Evaluate how well the story captivates and retains the reader's attention.

•Engaging plot and characters: Assess the overall engagement of both plot and characters.

•Emotional impact: Consider if the story evokes emotions and connects with the reader emotionally.

11. 🐟 Uniqueness (5 points) 🐟

•Distinctiveness of the story: Evaluate the uniqueness and distinct features of the storyline.

•Fresh and original approach: Assess if the story takes a new approach to its genre or themes.

•Memorable elements: If the story includes memorable scenes, themes or characters.

•Enjoyability: How enjoyable the story is overall for the reader?

By totalling the points of above criteria, the final marks : Out of 90 points
