In ancient times on the day of the conflict between Samaru and the being who ended up slaying him, over 3000 years ago before the present day Samaru triggered the creation of the first heroes, defenders of the earth before he died.

They had powers so grand that they surpassed the limits of one's imagination! But almost before long, the first super villains arrived who were as powerful as their superhero counterparts, they threatened the world with evil by using their powers as they pleased.

But as time passed without Samaru being alive to keep  them under check during those days a king of heroes had arose and quickly defeated the villains by teaming up with the heroes, this king was the same person who slayed Samaru and he named the descendants of the heroes who survived Preterhumans.

" Did you just say what I think you just said, don't give me that you don't understand how difficult it is for me to give up and listen to individuals even I don't trust, do you think I'm just a pushover doing nothing, thinking about nothing and cutting myself off from my individual happiness throwing my entire life away calling it quits and giving in ? That's a lie it's not easy for me, it was so much easier for me to go on thinking that there was something I could do, but I know now that there's nothing I can do since my goal is to defeat my older sister but Jason lost to a 3 star even with my ability, so now I know the only path everything leads to is giving up !! If I could do something then I swear that I would but this isn't up to me since I'm not good enough. "

So sensing her genuine thoughts and emotions Mikaru told her.

" This time Ahmya I'll protect you I swear with my life, I won't let you end up like Fumi. That's my wish so if not for yourself then do it for me, I don't want you to be with a monster like K so please choose me so this life will have  meaning for me ? "

His choice of words however shocked everyone there and K yelled whilst he fought against Fukushima.

" You bastard, are you asking my bride to be yours instead !? "

So Ahmya turned red and asked.

" Mikaru, Are you that person ? "

But he didn't understand what she meant so he stayed  silent and so she continued explaining.

" My hands are so small that everything I've tried to achieve has slipped away leaving nothing behind, I'll tell you what kind of person I really am, I have no strength but I want it all, I have no knowledge but all I do is dream even though there's nothing that I can do but struggle in vain like an idiot. "

Ahmya said an all the people who were bickering in the background went silent as they all turned their attention to Kai to see if he was also hearing this.

The eyes however did nothing to stop her from continuing.

" I talk a big game and make myself sound like a big shot then I can't do anything, yet then I complain with the best of them like it's my job or something, who the hell do I think I am thinking that I can dethrone the principal !? "

This Caused K's attention to also shift away from Fukushima an Mikaru and towards her, however this also did nothing to stop her from continuing also adding.

" It's amazing I can live like this and not feel ashamed, you know I'm right after all you fought 2 extremely high rankers today while I was here and afterwards at the seashore you gave up on continuing fighting against people who are drastically more talented than you are, but I've always wanted to accomplish something important when I've never done anything to earn it, I'm beyond the limits of arrogance and laziness. "

Those words also caught Kai's ears as Fukushima aslso turned around to spectate this surprising spiral of events, however this also did nothing to stop her from continuing as she also added.

" I have such wasteful habits of wanting to find a short cut which leads me to relying on everyone else, even when I wanted you to teach me your martial arts I was just trying to cover up how embarrassed I felt losing to someone with an X-ray vision ability. "

The people around began to feel sorry for her but she didn't care, K became angered but this also was nothing to her so she continued to speak.

" ...so I learned Jason's chi manipulation technique while striking a desperately obvious pose to say that I was trying to get better so everyone could say that I was doing everything I could pushing myself to my limits, I'm always worried how others see me, how they accept or judge me so I don't speak to others much resulting in me having few to no friends. Is that the person you want to choose to be with you instead of being with a monster so you can be 'that person' for them ? "

Hearing this Kai felt that he had to ask and not turn a blind eye to her words although personally he didn't think they were true.

" So Ahmya are you doubting your very own aptitude, do you believe that you don't possess the natural ability to do what you desire ? Because this would cause anome at the societal level bringing chaos to the academy. "

Before she could answer Mikaru spoke up for her saying.

" Don't you understand Kai, this is why Jason was an anarchist emphasizing individual freedom being heavily skeptical of authority figures like you. She's saying she's an empty shell there's nothing inside her worth mentioning isn't it obvious anybody could see that, that's why her previous class turned on her when they realized that she was only where she was because she's the principal's little sister. "

Kai wanted to challenge everyone at the academy in order to assign ranks nevertheless he didn't seem to be very interested in crossing the principal so he looked away when he heard this.

Mikaru then returned his undivided attention to Ahmya and said.

" It's because I've done nothing worth mentioning with my life even with all this time and freedom, I trained and I trained and this is the result, I'm still powerless, incompetent, it's the product of my rotten and pathetic character. But I won't give up on either of us I'll carry both our pains and sadness if you choose me I'll show you that you can trust me with your wish instead of him and I promise they'll all come true and I'll protect you, I won't give in to pain, despair or doubt but I'll stand by you with nothing left to fear. "

Ahmya then smiled and walked towards him placing her right hand in his right hand which he held out causing K to become incredibly pissed off and he started to viciously attack Fukushima so he could stop them, but she ignored this and asked Mikaru.

" But won't it hurt ? "

" No, I actually don't really care about that kind of pain anymore, sure it's still painful and all but I've gotten a bit used to it. Since I've been dying the thing that I really hated is failing, I don't want you guys to die, if you don't believe me you can just read my mind I have nothing to hide. "

So Ahmya responded.

" We'll see if you're that person, or if you think that you're a god to be playing everyone's hero or if you're a devil deceiving everyone with lofty ideals. "

Then she activated her ability of telepathy to allow Mikaru to witness her thoughts and memories, first Mikaru saw a younger version of himself and a younger version of Ahmya standing in the woods somewhere then the younger him said to the younger her.

" Oh please don't let me die waiting for your answer, I don't want to lose you so I'll fight to my last breath then hopefully I'll break out of this hopeless loop and you'll accept my feelings for you. "

And the younger her responded.

" No don't give up on life even with this endless dead end. "

This surprised the current Mikaru but then the younger Ahmya woke up from her bed revealing that it was just a dream and a black haired girl slightly older than her younger self asked.

" Did you have that dream again, the one with the boy ? "

And the younger Ahmya nodded before getting out of bed and going towards the other girl who was at her room door leaning against the frame.

" Well Ahmya I asked mom about it since you said you didn't know who he is and she said that if you dream about someone you don't know in such a manner then it's probably because he's your soulmate. "

So the young Ahmya became embarrassed and punched the older girl in the stomach before going outside and the other girl asked.

" What the hell was that for ? "

But unbeknownst to them at that moment their small village off in the woods where they lived was currently being attacked and all the villagers were being killed off one by one outside their house and unfortunately for them when they went out they had the displeasure of witnessing it all take place.

They saw all of what was taking place and stood there in horror of it all since even their mother was seen laying dead on the ground Infront of them.

" Mom !! What's going on, why have the Preterhuman come to do this to us ? "

The older sister asked and the attention of the Preterhumans were turned towards her even though she was only a child they ran towards her and yelled as they sliced off her head.

" Preterhuman asset division 42, you missed one over here !! "
