A woman was happily walking with her 8-year-old daughter by her side with her destination set and something close.
"Eomma, is it necessary to go?" The girl asked without encouragement. "I want to go to Hyo Jin's house and play, she told me that they bought her some new skates and she will let me use them!"
"I know you want to go with her, but you will get along very well with her son, and they are the same age."
"But eomma, I want to go play with Hyo Jin, not with a child I don't know."
"Come on honey, they will surely get along very well, his mother and I are very close friends, I am completely sure that you and your son will get along wonderfully."
The still unconvinced girl started dragging her feet while walking and grimacing with boredom, repeating that it will be very boring and that she will take her to her best friend Hyo Jin.
"Yejin." His mother called firmly. "I know you don't feel like going, but please at least give him a chance to meet him, who knows? They might end up being best friends."
"I don't believe." She responds immediately.
"You won't know if you don't know him." His daughter pouted slightly. "If you try to get along with him at least, I promise I'll buy you that doll you saw last time for Christmas."
"Seriously?"
"Yes, exactly that doll." She knew what was wrong with pampering her, but in a few days his daughter would forget about that.
They kept walking towards the house of her friend who recently moved to Seoul; the journey to her house was not long, but she had decided to walk to stretch her legs with her daughter.
Finally they arrived and were received by the woman, the youngest looked at how her mother was very happy to see her friend again, the youngest now hoped at least to get along with the son of her mother's friend, if she did, she won the doll that wanted.
"Hello dear, you are Yejin, right?" The woman asked and she nodded. "I'm Hyun Sully, but you can call me Aunt Sully, okay?" The youngest nodded again. "You are very pretty, did you know that beautiful?" She nodded again with a smile from ear to ear that made her eyes shape into half moons.
"Aigoo Chae Rin, with that smile your daughter will be quite a heartthrob." Aunt Sully exclaimed to which her mother only laughed with what she said, the little girl would take it as a compliment although she did not know much what the woman was referring to.
They entered and sat in the living room, Yejin clung to the backpack he had when he saw the new place, the house was very beautiful although with the occasional unopened box lying around; welcoming and exuding a vibe of peace and tranquility, it was only a short time when she already felt comfortable in the new place.
"Yejin, dear, do you want to meet my son? They'll get along for sure." Aunt Sully commented, the little girl wondered why both mothers were sure they would get along, and if in the end it didn't happen?
"Go honey." Her mother whispered.
The little girl nodded so Aunt Sully grabbed her hand and led the two of them into an upstairs room.
When the smaller one went up, he realized that the top part had more boxes, some open and others not, it must be normal if they have just moved.
They stopped in front of a door, which had a poster of the series of the moment "Thundercats".
Aunt Sully knocked on the door and then tried to open it, but couldn't. "Honey, do you remember I told you about my friend and her daughter?"
"Yes!" The scream was heard from within.
"Well, they're here right now, so please open the door!" She said exclaiming the last.
"It's okay." As much as she has heard that I accept, from his tone of voice it seemed that he did not want to meet her either, and the feeling is mutual.
Seconds later the aunt opened the door and smiled when she saw her son sitting with his Thundercats dolls scattered on the floor, he must have interrupted when he was playing.
"Omo, Sully, is he your son?" She asked obviously. "It is very cute." The woman said and approached the child.
"Good evening Madam." The minor greeted.
"And he's very polite."
"Honey, this is my friend Mrs. Son Chae Rin."
"Nice to meet you, lady."
"Equally dear, you can call me Aunt Chae Rin if it's not a bother."
"No way, Aunt Chae Rin."
"Sully your son is very polite, in the future he will be a great match." She whispered to which her friend just laughed. "Dear, I want to introduce you to my girl." The woman looked for her daughter, for the youngest had hidden behind her. "Honey, come on, it's not going to bite you." Little by little the girl came out and saw the boy in front of her.
"Yejin." The aunt called. "He is my son, Hyun Bin." She introduced the aunt by grabbing her hand and pulling her closer. "Honey, this is Son Yejin."
He offered his hand and smiled showing his dimples on his plump cheeks. "Nice to meet you, I'm Bin."
She grabbed his hand and gave a slight smile. "Yejin."
After all, they could be friends in the end, or maybe not yet.
***
"Eomma!" Shouted the child.
Yejin ran down the stairs with Bin behind, it didn't seem like they were chasing each other, but he wanted to get there first, a few races maybe?
"Anything he tell you is not true!" The girl exclaimed running towards her mother making her almost drop her coffee cup.
From that simple phrase it seemed that this would go straight to a discussion.
"Eomma, Yejin broke my doll!" He screamed with the Lion-O doll in hand that was without a leg.
"Don't believe her Aunt Sully, I didn't break it!"
"Don't lie, you broke it!" He sob pointing the broken doll at her.
"I did nothing!"
"Stop lying!" He look at his mother. "Eomma she is very bad!"
"I'm not bad! I'm very good."
"Calm down." Both mothers said with firm voices.
"Yejin, is it true that you broke Bin's doll?" The mother asked her daughter.
"Not! It is not true!"
"Bin, tell me, how did she supposedly break the doll?" The other mother asked her son.
"We were playing with my dolls when she took some of hers out of her backpack, she wanted me to lend my doll and I did, so I kept playing with mine waiting for her to join, but then I heard something break and when I saw her, I had my doll broken! "
"Yejin, is that true?" Asked the aunt.
"N-"
"Yejin, truthfully, I didn't raise you to tell lies." Said his mother.
The minor sighed and nodded slightly.
"But I swear it was an accident, I didn't want to break it!" She exclaimed sobbing.
"Okay Yejin, but please apologize to my son for the toy and for lying to us."
The little girl separated from her mother and stood in front of the boy, bowed and said a sincerely "I'm really sorry, it was not my intention."
The boy just nodded, not completely convinced.
Chae Rin promised Bin a new Lion-O toy and that his daughter would be punished for what she did, that satisfied him.
Before leaving he stuck his tongue out at the girl and she returned the act.
As much as that incident occurred, both mothers established a new day for them to see each other again and hope that this time things turn out well.
