Steven lurched forward, breathing heavily. He started looking around as if he was a caged animal. He sighed in relief,  not seeing the things that haunted him in his sleep. He slowly slid off the bed in an uncertain manner, was he ready to start the day? Steven rolled his eyes, he had to go, he is a superhero and was meeting up with the other at 10. He quickly got changed into a pair of green jeans with a green shirt with a white hooded jacket to go on top. He looked at the beanie on his chair next to his desk, the green with white swirls looked very tempting, he is 18 after all, why not dress like it? He scoffed at that thought, he acts like he's 18, so why should he bother? Grabbing his beanie,  throwing on socks while putting on black converse, he hopped down his newly added stairs to get to the cafe Castor had recently built to use as a meeting place. Steven looked in his hoodie's pockets, oh he felt two rings. Steven pulled the out, staring at them contently. He gently slipped them onto his right hand, rubbing circles on the two objects.

"Hey Steven. Steven, you OK?"

Steven looked to his side in surprise,  how did he not hear the bubbly girl besides him approach,  he shook his head,  clearing his mind. "What did you say Jess? I was thinking."

"I asked if you were OK."

"Uh-huh oh, yeah I guess I'm as fine as a person who just died can be." Jess snorted, obviously not believing what he told her.

"You're lying to my to hide emotions, spill greeny."

"Actually,  it's white boy, but I'm as fine as I can be. I wasn't lying,  I was being honest. I wouldn't lie about something so little,  have faith Jess, my Odin."

"Did you just say my Odin? That's actually a pretty recent addition to our vocabulary. Who taught you that?"

"Castor and Pbat got me up to date. Wait is that a gawken?!?!"
Jess's head whipped towards the plains next to the staircase she flew down.
"What?! Where!?"
Turning her head back to Steven,  she noticed he was holding in a laugh.

"Dang it Steven! I actually thought there was one nearby!"

A few minutes of Steven rolling on the ground laughing at Jess later

"Sorry that was just too funny."

"I hate you.....you.....you....fine, fine, it was kind of funny."

Steven and Jess keep walking and see Castor's Cáfe in front of them. Steven grabs the door and opens it for Jess.

The light jazz music that Castor plays is evident seeing that the rest of the few is silent and waiting for the two to arrive.

"Are we late to the meeting?"

"No Jess, the two of you are just in time. Sit down in your respective chairs."
Steven and Jess split up and head to different sides of the tables.
"So as everyone knows.........."

Stevens pov

Stars are falling, mobs are spawning, but I can't shake the feeling that something will happen today. Maybe a new hero will join, or-

"Steven, the meeting over!" My eyes shot up, staring into Alex's own brown eyes.

"Huh, oh sorry. I was just thinking about-"

Boom!

My head shot up as we both jumped into action, gripping our power sources. I quickly grabbed my white ring as Alex grabbed his super boy symbol, our clothes transforming into our gear, well my new uniform. Both of us quickly bolted out side, our reflexes on overdrive.

"Alex, in the air, I'll search on the ground."

"On it." Alex yells as he shot into the sky, preparing his abilities for action.

My legs quickly pushed themselves as fast as they could go.
As their finding what caused the explosion,  enjoy some thrilling music. Yes, it's mortal combat

My ears listened for anything, quickly hearing Alex's voice

"North of the village! I can't tell exactly what it is, so come up and join me! That will help us surprise it!
My legs shot me up right next to Alex.

"My Odin! That's a gawken!"

"Wait, when did you learn that saying?"

"No time, I'll tell you later. Gawken attacking people!"

"Right!"

We shot off, ready to attack
