At the hotel, the contestants were all brought to the dinner table.
"You guys have been very successful in these first two challenges," Lakitu informed the group. "The pot stands at 115,000 Coins." Now, we have a surprise.

The competitors knew it was coming.

"Tonight, you will each privately take a ten question quiz about the mole's identity. Then, we will have our first "execution". The player who scores the lowest on the quiz is executed, or in other words, eliminated. So to whoever that is, we wish you the best of luck." Lakitu sadly told the group. Nobody wanted it to be them.

"What happens if it's a tie?" Mario asked.

"If it's a tie, the player with the slowest time is eliminated. So don't take forever!" Lakitu exclaimed.

The competitors had a nice dinner and chatted, and then each of them went to their separate hotel rooms, where they each took a ten question quiz on their computer.

Lakitu gathered the contestants in a small room around a small TV. "Tonight, you face your first execution. In a few moments I'll begin entering your names into this computer in alphabetical order. If a green thumbprint appears on the TV screen after I enter your name, you are safe, and may continue playing the game. However, if a red thumbprint appears, you are the mole's first victim. You have to grab your bag, and leave the game immediately. Any questions?"

Nothing was heard from anyone.

"Alright, let's begin." Lakitu announced to the group, who were all shaking in fear.
