Yveltal Bowser took a move first. He used Dark Pulse But Xerneas countered it with Moonblast. She used the same attack again to get a hit on him. Bowser growled in rage. He used Oblivion Wing But Xerneas countered his attack again with Flash Cannon.

Lightning, Riley and Inky used Thunderbolt. Mario used his FireStone to evolve into Flareon and attacked with Fire Blast. Tidal used Surf. Xerneas used Focus Blast.

"Stop attacking me you scrubs!!"

"Never!! You killed Luigi!! You turned him to stone!!" Lightning shouted at him, harshly.

"My brother didn't deserve that!!"

"Yes he did! Because he's your brother!! You deserve the same fate as him!!"

"NO!! YOU WILL PAY FOR WHAT YOU DID TO MY BROTHER!!" Mario shouted. He began to turn red with rage. His body was starting to heat up.

He opened his mouth and a red orange stream of fire bursted out at Bowser. He used FlameThrower.

Bowser winced from the flames that hit him. He growled at Mario. "Really Mario, even in this world, you're a Pyromaniac, aren't you? Two can play that game..." Bowser used Heat Wave. A wave of fire attacked the group.

Bowser smirked evilly. "How did you like that?"

Lightning growled in rage at him as she winced in pain. She used Thunderbolt on him.

Xerneas came back with Moonblast.

Yveltal Bowser was angry now. "You really want your brother back, don't you?"

Three Wartortle walked out of the bushes holding on to Luigi's stoned Eevee body. "LUIGI!!" Mario ran forward but Lightning grabbed his paw before he would get into any trouble.

Yveltal Bowser flew up in the air and picked Luigi up with his large talons.

"NO!!! DON'T HURT HIM, BOWSER!! PLEASE!!" Mario begged, trying to pull away from Lightning's grasp.

It hurt Lightning to see Luigi in danger but she didn't want Mario to get himself hurt either. She knew that wasn't what Luigi would want.

"If you and your friends try anything else, I will drop him, so you might as well give up!! Choose wisely Mario!"

"I-I'll never give up! I can't!"

"Yes you will or else."

"I-I can't! It's who I am. I can't give up." Mario replied.

"Fine... Then say goodbye to your brother." Bowser told him. He let go of Luigi as they all watched him fall.

"NO!!!" Mario and Lightning shouted in unison. Lightning used Quick Attack to catch Luigi. He landed on her back as she lost her footing and collapsed to the floor.

Mario rushed toward her. "Lightning, are you okay?"

"I'm fine... I think Luigi is okay too.... Well sort of... Minus the whole becoming a statue..." Lightning sighed.

Mario looked in his brother's stone eyes. "Luigi..."

"Mario...." he could have sworn Luigi spoke to him.

Mario hugged his stone brother. "You're okay Luigi... We'll free you soon..."

Lightning used Thunderbolt on Yveltal Bowser. "HOW DARE YOU TRY AND DESTROY LUIGI LIKE THAT!!!" She snapped.

"Because he's worthless!!!" He answered.

"No, he isn't. You lier!!! He's worth everything to me and Mario and I won't let anyone hurt him."

Bowser attacked her with Sucker Punch. She quickly got up and used Electro Ball.

Xerneas used Moonblast to help Lightning weaken him.

Mario looked up to see the battle was continuing without him. "I'll be back, Bro. I promise." He let go of Luigi and went back to Lightning's side.

"We have to defeat him. I want my brother back and the only way is to finish this." Mario said.

"I know."

They continued battling Yveltal Bowser. He was slowly losing energy but it wasn't enough.

"I think we have to attack him at the same time. Then we might be able to defeat him."

They each combined their attacks.

Lightning, Inky and Riley Used Thunderbolt at the same time.

Mario used Flamethrower.

Tidal used Flash Cannon.

Black used Ice Beam.

Mr. L and Wolfie used Iron Tail.

Yveltal Bowser collapsed to the ground. He was knocked out.

"We did it!!! We defeated Yveltal!!" Lightning said.

Xerneas looked down at the heroes with a weak smile. "Yes we did. It is time I fixed what he done before I go back to sleep."

"Wait... You're going back to sleep?" Lightning asked.

"Yes, after using Geomancy, I use so much power that it takes a lot of my energy." Xerneas answered.

She emits rainbow waves of energy from her body and restored everything that was turned to stone with Oblivion Wing back to life before she retransformed back into the Tree of Life.

Mario and Lightning looked at the Tree of Life that was now in front of them again.

Suddenly, they heard Luigi's muffled voice. "W-what happened??? Where am I???" He questioned to himself, taking in his surroundings. Once he spotted Lightning and Mario he quickly ran towards them.

"Luigi!!!" Mario ran to him and hugged him tightly. "Thank goodness you're okay..."

"Mario!!" Luigi replied, crying tears of joy.

"It's okay, Bro. Everything's okay."

Luigi pulled away from Mario and faced Lightning.

"Luigi..." she ran towards him and hugged him tightly. She sighed in relief.

"Lightning I-" Luigi was interrupted from what he wanted to say when Lightning kissed his cheek.

He froze, just staring into space as he blushed heavily.

"I-I..."

Lightning giggled.

Mario found himself laughing a bit too.

"Awww!!!" The group of Pokémon with them awed excluding Mr. L who just looked away in disgust.

Suddenly, they heard many pawsteps and looked to see The Starter Squad.

"Stop right there! We've been looking everywhere for you." A shiny Froakie said.
