Wendy, Roy and Ludwig ran all the way to Bowser to tell him the news.

"What is it?!" Bowser bellowed. "Let me guess, those scrubs defeated you."

"Yes, but it was mostly from the Green One..." Roy replied.

"WHAT!!! YOU WERE DEFEATING BY THAT LITTLE COWARD!!!"

The three Eeveelutions bowed their heads in disappointment.

"DONT JUST STAND THERE!!! GO!!! I WANT THEM NOW!!!"  Bowser ordered.

"But they have an army of their own. We tried fighting them with a large group of minions but it failed."

Bowser roared with anger. "CAN THESE WEAKLINGS DO ANYTHING RIGHT!!! DO I HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING MYSELF!!!"

A Hypno with glasses who stood beside Yveltal Bowser wearing a blue cloak and hat stepped forward. "Calm down, sire. The other Eeveelings will not fail so easily. They have a plan."

"Eeveelings???" Bowser questioned.

"Well they don't look like Koopas anymore sire. I've heard about this world and the Koopalings are Eeveelutions."

"What are Eeveelutions, Kamek?"

"It's a term for the many evolutions of a Pokémon named Eevee." Kamek told him.

"Alright then. Well those Eeveelings better not fail me too or I'll go after them myself!"

"Indeed sire. Just give them a chance." Kamek replied.

"Alright Fine...."

Mario, Luigi, Lightning, Yoshi, Tidal, Eve, and Riley continued on their journey to find the Tree of Life.

Luigi walked ahead to Lightning.

He wanted to speak to her, but he didn't know what to say. "H-hey Lightning..." he mumbled softly.

"Hey Luigi." She replied back with a smile.

"I-I want to tell you something."

"What is it?" She asked him.

"Well... I.... Um... L- I..." he looked down to the ground turning red in embarrassment. He buried his face in his scruff. "N-n-nevermind..."

He backed away from her and sighed in despair. "That was the most awkward conversation I ever had..." he thought.

"Is something wrong??"

He looked up and almost screamed when he saw Lightning. "I-it's nothing..." he then decided to change the subject. "... I-I was just wondering... Why did you save us when you knew the truth? A-about us being humans."

"I-it's because... It's because..." she shook her head. "...You're helping me out. We're friends and my motto is that I would never leave a friend behind no matter who or what they are. I'll always be here for you. I promise..."

"Th-thank you Lightning. I'll always be here for you too... I-I mean to protect you..."

Lightning giggled. "No problem."

Suddenly, a red and white ball was flying in the air towards Luigi.

Lightning noticed it and quickly sliced the ball in half with Iron Tail. The pieces dropped to the ground.

Luigi stares at it with wide eyes. "Wh-what is that???" He questioned.

"A Pokeball..." Lightning answered. "My dad warned me about these objects. But where did it even come from???" Lightning questioned.

At that moment, four certain Eeveelutions leaked out of their hiding places laughing mischievously.

Lightning's cheeks sparked. "Who are you? What do you want? Were you the ones who threw that Pokeball?" Lightning questioned.

Morton the Umbreon laughed. "Oh I don't know..." he shrugged.

Lightning growled. "You're lying. You're behind this."

Suddenly, another one came at her. Her ears perked to see a Great Ball and she knocked it away with Iron Tail.

"Pokémon can't catch Pokémon!!!" Lightning yelled at the Leafeon of the group who carried the bag.

"Oh let's see about that!!!" Morton growled.
