That night, Luigi was awake. He couldn't sleep while Mario was trapped with his nemesis, King Boo. He kept thinking about what would happen if he doesn't save him soon. He wiped the tears from his eyes as he sat up. "I can't just sit here and do nothing" he thought.

He stood up and walked out of the cave leaving Lightning there alone.

After a few seconds later, Lightning awoke to see that Luigi was gone. "Where'd he go?" She asked herself. She turned her gaze to the outside of the cave, it was still dark outside. "Oh he better not have went out there. I hope he hasn't gotten far."

Lightning followed his scent outside. She finally made it to him as he was attempting to use Iron Tail.

"Hey Luigi" Lightning called.

Luigi jumped three feet in the air from hearing her voice from behind him all of a sudden. "Oh, I-it's just you" he sighed in relief.

"What are you doing out here, you know it's dangerous" she told him.

"I-I'm sorry, I'm just worried about Mario. I can't sleep knowing he's in danger. I want to save him as soon as possible. I can't just do nothing" Luigi explained.

"I understand. I guess we can train a little longer" Lightning replied.

"Oh thank you, Lightning! Thank you very much!" Luigi smiled.

Lightning and Luigi began to train together for a while.

Luigi heard Mario's voice in his head say "Come on Luigi, you can do it."

Luigi attempted to use Iron Tail on a rock again as he finally hit it. The rock broke in half from the impact.

Luigi smiled. "I-I did it?! I did it!!" He jumped around in excitement.

"Great job, Luigi" Lightning complemented him.

"Thanks!" He replied.

"Now how about we try Shadow Ball" Lightning said.

"Okay" Luigi said.

"Just open your mouth and create a black and purple ball" Lightning instructed.

Luigi did what he was told and after a few attempts he finally succeeded.

"Good job! I think you're ready to save your brother" Lightning told him.

"Finally!! Yahoo! It's about time!" Luigi yelled as he danced around with excitement.
