Mario and Luigi woke up early the next morning to see Lightning was still sound asleep. "Awe!!! She's so cute when she's sleeping" Luigi awed.

"She is but we should wake her up. We have to go" Mario replied.

"But bro, it's too early. Can't we just rest a little longer." Luigi whined.

"No, we got no time to waste" Mario told him.

"Aw!! But I'll feel bad if I wake h-" suddenly Lightning woke up.

"Hey guys" Lightning yawned.

"Oh good morning Lightning, did we wake you?" Luigi asked.

"Nah, you didn't. I'm always up early. At least earlier than the Pikachu villagers in Poketown. Especially when I have to catch an outlaw with the Starter Squad."

"What's a Starter Squad?" They asked.

"It's only the best group of Pokémon that work together to catch evil Pokémon in Poketown. We catch murderers, thieves, kidnappers, any Pokémon that break the law." Lightning explained.

"That's awesome!!" Mario and Luigi said in unison. "Are you the leader of this squad?"

"No!! A black Charizard named Paarthurnax is the leader, but sometimes he gets some help keeping the Squad in order. He's a great leader and very strong too." Lightning answered.

"How hard is it to get in the Squad?" Mario asked.

"Very hard. Only the strongest and most experienced Starter Pokémon make it into the group and I was one of the lucky few." Lightning answered.

"That explains your fighting skills" Mario replied.

Lightning nodded. "Well should we be going. We should find some breakfast."

"Well I'm in if food is involved" Mario said.

Lightning giggles. "You eat a lot don't you?"

"Are you kidding? Mario can eat a whole pan of pasta by himself and still be hungry" Luigi laughed.

"What's pasta?" Lightning asked.

Mario and Luigi were in complete shock. "You mean you never had pasta before?"

"Nope. Only berries."

"Mamma Mia!! You're missing out on a whole variety of different food." Mario said.

"I thought berries were the only kind of food out there, especially for wild Pokémon." Lightning replied.

"Well that would make sense" Luigi responded. "Anyways, let's stop talking about food and find something to actually eat."

Meanwhile, a few miles away from where the Mario Brothers and Lightning were located was the Amoonguss and a group of Squirtle, Wartortle, and Foongus looking for them. "Those two have to be somewhere."

"Why don't we just ask someone" one of the Squirtle said.

"Ask someone?" Suddenly the Amoonguss got an idea. "I know exactly what to do."

"Oh wow! A Goomba actually has a plan for once. This'll be good" another Squirtle said.

"Shut it, George!!" One of the Wartortle replied. "Let's see what the Goomba cooped up in his small brain."

The Amoonguss walked up to a Spearow. "Have you seen two Eevees? One wearing a red hat and the other wearing a green hat?" He asked. "If you bring them to us, we'll give them to Yveltal as a peace offering so he will leave the forest and you'll be free from living in fear."

"So you're telling me that Yveltal will leave once he has these two Eevees?" The Spearow chirped.

"Yes, but it has to be those exact Eevees" Amoonguss said. "Do you understand?"

"Yes!! I'll be sure to notify as many Pokémon in the forest I can to be on a look out for them." The Spearow answered, before flying off to tell his friends about the deal he made that just might save the forest.

"Good! Well that's less work for us" the Amoonguss told the Squirtle.

"Well what do you know. This Goomba actually managed to get a brilliant idea for once. This world must be getting to him" George replied.
