Lightning, Mario, Luigi, Jake, Max and Churro continued on through the forest until all of a sudden, they heard a roar coming from behind them. They slowly turned around to see Paarthurnax, who glared at them with his red eyes. He used a FlameThrower as he roared in rage. He flew up in the air towards them.

"Uh oh..." Lightning gulped, backing up. "Everybody run!!!!"

They didn't have to be told twice as they all ran for their lives. Paarthurnax wasn't going to give up yet and he persuaded the chase after the young heroes.

Luigi turned his head to take a look behind him while running. He wasn't looking where he was going and tripped on a rock. He landed on the ground face first.

Mario stopped and so did Lightning. The two Starters hid behind them and just stared in horror.

"Luigi!!" Mario and Lightning gasped.

Luigi slowly got to his paws and stared at Paarthurnax with fearful eyes.

Paarthurnax glared at him, fire in his eyes. He was ready to strike. He swooped down at Luigi and he quickly ducked. He came back to Luigi and tried slashing at him with his claw, however Mario stepped in and Paarthurnax managed to claw at him instead.

Mario slammed right into the ground.

"MARIO!!!!" Luigi screamed, rushing towards him.

Mario was unresponsive. Paarthurnax wasn't finished attacking as he was going to swoop down at Luigi again. However Lightning ran in front of Luigi with Quick Attack and used Thunderbolt on Paarthurnax. Paarthurnax was now paralyzed and collapsed to the ground.

She rushed over to Luigi's side.

Luigi nudged Mario softly but he didn't stir.

"Mario, wake up bro! Please!" Luigi cried with teary eyes. "You can't do this! Everyone needs you!!" The tears brimmed down his face.

Lightning gave a look of pity for him and wiped his tears. "Luigi, don't cry. We can help him... We just need to get to a safer place first. Can you pick him up?"

"I can try..." Luigi replied.

He slowly put Mario on his back. He seemed to be struggling to keep himself up. Lightning decided to help him out. They slowly walked to a nearby cave, hoping Paarthurnax wouldn't follow them.

Lightning and Luigi both slowly and gently set Mario down and gave him some Sitrus Berry.

"I-I hope he'll be okay..." Luigi sighed.

Lightning put a paw on his shoulder. "He should be just fine. Give him a moment to rest."

"We're sorry... Paarthurnax must have followed us to you and we didn't even know. This is our fault..." Jake said.

"It's none of your fault. Paarthurnax would have been able to find us anyway." Lightning told them. "We should rest for ourselves. We should all take a little break and sleep. Tomorrow we will continue."

"I guess you're right, Lightning." Luigi replied, laying down beside Mario. Lightning laid down next to Luigi.
