A few miles away from the heroes in the forest, King Boo resided with a few Boo Gastlys and Starter Squad members by his side hanging up wanted posters of the brothers and Lightning. The King laughed. "With these, all of the Pokémon in Poketown will think they're very dangerous criminals and once any of the residents here spot them, they will be taken care of. Especially that young fool, Luigi. He will pay for messing with my friends. He has crossed the line way too many times now."

"Indeed your majesty. They will all get what is coming to them soon." One of the Gastly added.

"And don't forget about those Meowths who you promised that if they captured the brothers, you would get them a whole load of Pokecoins. Those cat Pokémon who are always digging for gold." Another one replied.

"Ah yes. Denarius and his pack... I hadn't heard from them in a while. Perhaps those stupid scaredy cats given up already. What a shame... I shouldn't have expected that a couple of cats would be brave enough for this kind of job anyways. Speaking of which, we should also continue searching for them as well." King Boo told the group.

"You're absolutely right your majesty." A third Gastly responded.

"Well let's get to it then." The King ordered as the group then departed in different directions of the forest.

As for Mario, Luigi, Lightning, Gabe, Alex, Max, Jake and Churro, they were not aware that they were not too far from King Boo himself. Not even Alex could sense his dark aura yet.

However, Luigi suddenly halted to a stop when he saw one of the wanted posters. He walked towards it and ripped it off of the tree trunk it was hung up on. Luigi frowned.

"What is it Luigi?" Lightning asked, walking towards him to look at the poster.

"King Boo must have made these wanted posters of us." He answered.

"Then that means we have to be extra cautious. The P.K Police officers could see these around town at any moment and then they will be after us as well. They would never know that we were framed." Lightning warned.

"W-we should go... Who knows what could be lurking around us nearby at this moment." Mario said.

"Mario's right. We don't want anyone seeing us. We can't risk getting captured again. Who knows what will happen if we do." Lightning replied.

"Right!" They nodded.

Luigi just stared at the poster he was holding and trembled at the thought of getting captured and trapped in a painting. Lightning noticed and nuzzled him to try to get him to calm.

"Don't worry Luigi. We won't let King Boo get you. I promise that we'll get through this together as a team."

"B-But what if he does capture all of us... A-and he does trap us in paintings and-"

"Luigi, don't think about it. We can do this. We won't let that happen." Lightning told him.

"I-I hope so..." he mumbled.
