Bowser's Tower was still flying toward Peach's Castle. Yoshi was left behind to guard the Star Ride, Mario and Luigi entered inside the tower, passed all the trials and defeated Kamek on his magical showdown. At last, Mario and Luigi walked toward their final level: Bowser.

They both passed the red doors, climbed some stairs and finally reached the top of the flying tower. The sky was dark, and Bowser was toward them, along with the crystal vessel where Peach is held. Plus, the Big Star was flying above them.

- "Gwahahaha... You're finally here" Bowser said.

- "Bowser... there's no way you can escape now, and neither you will fight only one of us. Now it will both of us against you!" Mario said confidently.

- "There's no way I can escape now? Oh I don't need to escape. In fact, you are the ones that won't be able to escape" Bowser said. "In a few moments, the whole Mushroom Kingdom will be under my control. You two could have just surrender and accept that fact, but you still decided to play the hero and try to stop me. How hilarious".

- "You really talk to much Bowser" Luigi said.

*Bowser growls at him, scaring him on the act*

- "You better watch your mouth! There's no way any green stache will talk to me like the way you just did!"

*Luigi's face turns into a DEATH STARE, scaring Bowser a little bit*

Mario puts his arm on Luigi's left shoulder. Luigi calms himself.

- "Gwaah! I'm tired of all this talking. MARIO... LUIGI!"

*Mario and Luigi turns into a combat position*

- "This is where your journey ends!!!" Bowser shouted while rolling to them in a spike ball".

- "Let'sa go Luigi!" Mario shouted.

- "Okie-dokie Mario!" Luigi replied.

Mario and Luigi jumped out of the way, dodging Bowser's rolling attack. However, Bowser turned to Mario's direction, willing to crush him, but Mario made a sideway jump and passed above him. Bowser then rolls directly to Luigi, who did a side jump too, passing above him; he then ran far away from the Koopa King. Bowser changes direction again and keeps rolling to Luigi, who got his hammer out.

- "There he goes Mario!" Luigi shouted while raising his hammer.

- "I'm ready Luigi!" Mario replied while raising his hammer too.

Bowser got very closed to Luigi, willing to crush him. However, Luigi stopped his movement by hitting him with his hammer. He couldn't inflict any damage, but he had the chance to hit him from below, while still in his spike ball, elevating him a little bit and finally sending it flying to Mario.

Having his hammer raised, Mario hit Bowser and sent it back to Luigi, who hit him back at his brother twice. Mario and Luigi started to use Bowser as a tennis ball. Finally, Mario sent Bowser upward. While in the air, Mario and Luigi jumped simultaneously, reached Bowser and hit him with their hammers at the same time.

Bowser was sent back to the ground. He managed to stand up, but he was dizzy. Having him like that, Luigi hop on his brother's head. Moreover, Mario and Luigi started to roll like a drill, and just like that they felt on Bowser's head, inflicting damage.

Bowser wakes up and roars with angriness. He then spits a fireball at them, but they still managed to dodge it. However, Bowser kept spitting more fireballs. While dodging, Mario was getting closer to Bowser. Once he got close, he tried to hit him with his hammer, but Bowser jumped out of the way and saves himself. He then falls from another part of the battleground and kepts spitting fireballs. Luigi tried to do the same thing as his brother, but Bowser jumped out of the way and felt on another part, still spitting fireballs.

Luigi decided to take the Ice Flower and turn into Ice Luigi. He then started to throw lots of iceballs at Bowser's fireballs, technically blocking his attacks. Suddenly, one of the ice balls reached Bowser's left foot and froze it, preventing him from moving for a short time. However, Luigi kept throwing more iceballs, covering Bowser in a big pile of ice.

Mario and Luigi both got their Fire Flowers. With the fire power, they jumped high; Luigi got on Mario's head again. They started to roll as a drill for a second time, but with flames covering them. Finally, they fall and break through the pile of ice and stomped Bowser for a second time. Bowser got damaged again; he also got angry and roar even more loudly.

- "That's it Mario and green stache! Now I'm gonna throw you from my tower!" Bowser said angrily.

Bowser got inside his shell and started to spin. Mario and Luigi remained their look at him. Suddenly, while still spinning, Bowser moved rapidly toward them.

- "Move Luigi!" Mario said shockingly.

They both jumped out of the way and dodged Bowser. However, Bowser hit a wall and changed direction. Mario and Luigi were running and jumping in order to dodge Bowser, who was not planning to stop until he throws his archenemies out of his tower.

In order to stop him, Fire Mario got the Metal Cap and turned into Metal Mario. Once Bowser got close to him, Mario stopped him with his right hand. Bowser couldn't spin anymore, so he got out of his shell. Suddenly, Luigi jumped and once again stomped Bowser's head, leaving him dizzy.

Finally, Mario grabbed Bowser's tail and starts to spin, just like in old times.

After lots of spinnings, Mario finally let him go, and Bowser felt from his own tower. Metal Mario and Fire Luigi got back to their normal state and reunited.

- "Good job Mario, you managed to defeat Bowser and save the entire Mushroom Kingdom!" Luigi said.

- "No Luigi. We both did" Mario replied.

*Luigi felt happy by Mario's words*

But their celebration ended quickly after they saw the Big Star above them glow.

- "Huh? What's happening with the Star?" Luigi asked.

Meanwhile, Bowser was still falling from his tower. However, a bubble appeared and caught him. Moreover, the bubble flew straight to the top of the flying tower. Bowser felt in front of Mario and Luigi; both of them jumped out of the way.

- "What?! That's impossible!" Mario shouted nervously.

*Luigi started to shake*

- "Gwahahahaha! Not bad Mario. I must admit, that tail-grab of yours brings me bad memories. But it doesn't matter, since that wouldn't stop me this time" Bowser said confidently.

- "Ho-how did you get back up here?" Luigi asked nervously.

- "Are you really so naive? Remember that I have the most powerful Star of Princess Peach's castle on my power" Bowser replied. "I used it's power to get back up here".

*Mario looked at the Big Star and gasped*

- "Don't you see it Mario? Nothing will stop me this time! Not even you and green stache!" Bowser shouted.

Suddenly, the Big Star flew slowly toward Bowser. Intimidated by him, Mario and Luigi moved backward. The Big Star started to enter into Bowser's body; a huge light was been produced from Bowser's body, forcing Mario and Luigi to cover their eyes.

After a while, the light has gone out. Mario and Luigi looked toward Bowser and saw his new form. He was covered in sparkles, just like Luigi and Mario were in a couple of moments during their adventure.

- "Gwahahahaha! At last, I am invincible!" Bowser yelled happily, catching Yoshi's attention from the tower's entrance, where he was guarding the Star Ride, even though he didn't know what was happening.

* Mario and Luigi remained shocked*

- "Oh yeah! I'm feeling the power flowing through me!".

- "I won't let you go any further Bowser!" Mario shouted while putting the Metal Cap, turning into Metal Mario.

Moreover, Mario runs at Bowser to attack him.

- "Mario no!" Luigi yelled.

Mario jumps and tries to stomp Bowser's head, but he was pushed away by the sparkle around his body. Mario felt on Luigi's left side and lost his metal skin.

- "H-he's too powerful!" Mario said nervously.

- "You know, personally, I would like green stache been the one attacking me with the metal power. I could've get a little of revenge after what he has done to me on our last battle" Bowser said, making Luigi shake. "But it doesn't matter, NOW I'M GOING TO FINISH BOTH OF YOU!"

Bowser let a sparkling breath out of his mouth toward Mario and Luigi, damaging them on the act. With only one shot, he left both of them laid on the ground, unable to defend themselves.

- "Yes... yes... YES! GWAHAHAHAHA! I have finally defeated Mario for good, as well as his good for nothing brother! Nothing can stop me now! I'll rule the entire Mushroom Kingdom, and with princess Peach by my side!"

Mario and Luigi were laid on the ground, Yoshi couldn't help them since he wouldn't make it to the top of the tower in time, the tower itself was too far away from Toadsworth and the other Toads, and Princess Peach was still trapped inside the crystal vessel.

Everything seems to be lost...

However, something started to shine on Peach.

- "Huh? What's happening to Peach?" Bowser asked himself.

The glow on Peach was calling all the Power Stars.

Meanwhile, the Power Stars forming the Star Ride got separated.

- "Waaaah!" Yoshi got startled. He then decided to enter the tower and run quickly to the top.

All the Power Stars, even the last one, flew toward the top of the Flying Tower and started to fly around it.

- "Gwahahaha! Well would you look at that. Even the Power Stars are recognizing that I'm the true king of the Mushroom Kingdom" Bowser said to himself.

Suddenly, a voice was been heard on the air, but only Mario and Luigi could hear it, even if they were still laid on the ground.

- "Mario... Luigi" it was princess Peach's voice. "You can't give up now. You have infiltrated into Bowser's Castle, passed all of his obstacles and traps, and made it this far. I know that you don't have anymore strength left to fight against Bowser's new power ................... therefore, I am going to give you my aid. Bowser may have the power of the Big Star, a Star that has even more power than any of the other ones. However, that doesn't mean that you can't defeat him. I have called all the Power Stars to your aid. Trust in their power, and use it to defeat Bowser on your own style... Good luck Mario and Luigi. The entire Mushroom Kingdom is counting on you.

Suddenly, two of all those Power Stars flew toward Mario and Luigi and got into their bodies... lots of sparkles started to unleash on them.

- "WHAT?! TH-THIS CAN'T BE!!" Bowser yelled.

With the power of those stars, Mario and Luigi managed to recover and slowly got up, and they looked toward Bowser.

- "Gwaaaaah! Never!" Bowser shouted.

He then let another sparkling breath out of his mouth, directly to Mario and Luigi, but it didn't have any effect.

- "What?! Bowser shouted.

Suddenly, Mario and Luigi run toward Bowser and kicked his face. Bowser got pushed back and felt to the ground. He then got up and rubbed his face.

Suddenly, the sparkling power on Mario and Luigi dissapeared.

- "Mario... Luigi" they once again heard Peach's voice. "Do not worry if you lost the power of those Stars, they'll come back. Besides, you still have the support of all the other Stars. Use them for your advantage, and defeat Bowser!"

*Mario and Luigi looked and nodded at each other*

- "Gwaah! Who cares if you have all those Power Stars on your side? It still won't be enough against my unlimited power! Mario... Luigi... I won't be messing around anymore! I'm going all out this time, and I'll finish both of you once and for all!" Bowser yelled.

- "Let'sa go Luigi!" Mario said.

- "Okie-dokie Mario!" Luigi replied.

This is it! The final battle is finally at hand!
