スーパーヒーロータイム in the US?

Ay, look at that. It's Sunday. That means its...

SUPAA HIRO TAIMU!

At least in Japan it is.

You see, every Sunday morning, Super Sentai and Kamen Rider air back-to-back in Japan with new episodes and stuff. We kind of have that hear, except it's Saturday at noon and it's only Power Rangers.

But does any one else remember when we basically had our own Super Hero Time before it was even a thing in Japan?

To all my 90s kids out there, let me ask you something. Did you ever notice a lot of shows similar to Power Rangers airing on the same channel as it?

I'm talking about Power Rangers, Masked Rider, VR Troopers, BeetleBorgs, you know the shows.

All of these shows have one thing in common, they all use footage from Japanese superhero shows known as tokusatsu.

The original Power Rangers uses footage from a show called Zyuranger, Masked Rider uses footage from a show called Kamen Rider Black RX, VR Troopers uses footage from various shows in a series called Metal Heroes, and BeetleBorgs uses footage from a show called B-Fighter and B-Fighter Kabuto.

All of these shows (I assume) aired on the same day and all on Fox Kids back in the day.

Hence creating Super Hero Time years before it was ever conceived in Japan.

Now let that sink in.

That'll be all.
