BACKSTORY
── LINCOLN TAYLOR IS THE ELDEST OF
FOUR KIDS , AND the only son . born on the
second to last day of february (and maybe
even third to last, every four years) , link
was a peculiar child . ever since he came
out of the womb he always seemed
strange . he had hit all his milestones , but
was also seemingly delayed , especially
when he was supposed to start talking .
and when he did talk , he had a habit of
copying things . this would be the start of
his father's taunting . that his son was a
copycat and would never find his own
potential . and growing up , it really
bothered him .

── HIS FATHER WAS PRETTY EMOTIONALLY
UNAVAILABLE , and his mother pretty much
excused his behavior . no matter how much
his father was mean to link , his mother
always shook it off as "him being tired" or
"him being drunk" . and link couldn't do
anything about it , as his father was always
doing things for his three sisters . it made
him believe that something was very wrong
with him , and he never knew what . this
worsened in grade school . link was bullied
for his echolalia , and he tried fitting in so
hard that he would fail , and the other kids
would laugh at him even more . some days
he would come home crying , and the only
thing his father could tell him was to "man
up" .

── GROWING UP , IT PRETTY MUCH GOT
WORSE . the only good thing about it was
his sisters . he practically raised the three
of them . they loved him , he loved them .
he always figured what they liked , what
they didn't . their relationship with them
remained close , while his relationship with
his parents dwindled . the only good thing
he had with his dad was learning car
parts . ever since , he's been obsessed with
learning about cars , how they worked , and
how to fix them . for some reason , that
made his father real mad . suddenly , there
was competition , and link didn't understand why . he just loved cars , and
he loved learning how to fix them . but to
his father , he's still nothing more than a
copycat .

── THE MORE HE GREW UP , THE MORE HE
realized that his dad didn't like him . or
probably love him . he treated him like a
waste of space . and it didn't get any better
during his teenage years . when link
decided to go to trade school for welding
and mechanics , he was ecstatic . his dad
took away that moment immediately .
that was pretty much link's breaking point .
when he graduated from high school , link
left . moved out . didn't leave a note , he
didn't bother to tell his parents . he went to
trade school , but he had to work extra
hard . while he was in trade school , he got
a job at a daycare nearby . this was when
he discovered a love for teaching kids . not
just that , but also being around them .

── A YEAR AND HALF LATER , LINK
GRADUATED FROM trade school . this would
be his newest achievement . one that he's
very proud of . from there , he started
working at auto shops in woodsboro while
still working at the daycare he was working
for . spending days at the daycare and
nights at auto shops . there was a particular
one he worked for , he worked under an
apprenticeship with the owner . showed
him a ton of other things that the school
didn't teach him . he eventually retired after
being there for so long . link was deemed
the new owner of the shop . he eventually
left his daycare job (which was really hard
to let go) . but from then on , motor crüe
auto shop was pretty much born .

BACKGROUND
── link met rob at his tattoo shop . a
friend actually recommended it when he
told them he wanted to get a tattoo on
memoriam of his sister . he prolonged it
for the longest time . why ? unknown pain
scared the shit out of him , not to mention
needles . but one day , he walked into the
morgue tattoos . he's intimidated , not
because of the numerous iron maiden
references in the shop , but just scared
that the pain was gonna be much worse
than people told him . if it hadn't been
for rob , he would've chickened out . rob
made a way to make him feel comfortable .
breaks if needed , snacks and water .
even putting on a glam mixtape ? that
was rob probably doing his job , but link
thought it was really sweet .

── it makes him comfortable with getting
more tattoos . suddenly he had more ideas
for them (and it was partially an excuse to
see rob again) . and in exchange , rob came
into the repair shop after finding out that
he was a mechanic . he'd do even the
smallest of things , such as oil changes
