The Shadow Venusaur, Butterfree, Marawak, Lucario and Vikavolt were glaring menacingly at the seven heroes in front of them. Mario, Luigi, Lightning, Faith, Krystal, Shade and Amethyst only glared right back at them. Not showing any signs of fear. Although Luigi was secretly a little unsure of the outcome of the fight, he was still with his older brother and his friends which did reassure him just enough. He would also not want to give up or show any signs of weakness.

But it soon changed when the Butterfree uses Poison Powder followed by another Gust to spread the powder around the area. Shade was the one to use Protect on the group this time to keep the attack from hitting them. He didn't know it on his own however, instead he was using a move called Copycat to copy it from the Pokémon who used it before.

The Shadow Butterfree looked like it was getting fed up with the powder attacks always missing that it then used String Shot on Shade, tying him up in sticky string, making him slower and more vulnerable to attacks.

The Shadow Lucario then took this as an opportunity to use Close Combat on him, weakening the dark type Umbreon tremendously with a Super Effective move. The weakened Umbreon then collapsed to the ground weakened from the attacks.

"Oh no!! Shade!!! Snap out of it!! We still need you!!" Amethyst shouted. The dazed Umbreon didn't stir. He fainted soon after.

"Oh mamma Mia! There goes our protection..." Luigi said, starting to tremble.

The Shadow Butterfree then grinned widely and giggled mischievously. "Time for you all to go night-night!" She then used the Sleep powder and Gust combo attack again.

"Everyone take cover! Don't get exposed to the Sleep Powder or you'll be sent into a sleeping state!" Lightning warned.

The brothers, Lightning, Faith, Amethyst and Krystal all took cover in nearby dens until the Sleep Powder attack vanished. When they came back out of their hiding places, Lightning used a Thunderbolt attack on the Butterfree, but she swiftly dodged it. "Ugh..." she growled in annoyance, "that Butterfree is fast!"

"I know! We have to find out a way to get hits on her or we're going to get caught!" Luigi shuttered at the thought.

"Calmati, Luigi! We'll figure this out! We'll win this!" Mario assured him.

Luigi swallowed. "I hope you're right, Mario..."

The shadow Vikavolt was the next one to take a move, using Discharge at the group, causing them to run in different directions to avoid the attack. Once the Discharge attack ended, Mario used Overheat burning the five shadow Pokémon with a strong stream of fire that unleashed from his glowing body.

The Shadow Marowak shook the attack off and unleashed an Ice Beam at Luigi who barely managed to move out of the way to dodge it. Mario retaliated with a Flamethrower as Krystal used her own Ice Beam at the Marowak. Both attacks hitting him and quickly knocking him out after. Four Shadow Pokémon left to take out already. They were making more progress but they were all getting exhausted from the fighting.

The Lucario was now outraged about them being able to take out two of their teammates. "How dare you!! You are not allowed to win this fight!! Shadow Pokémon must reign supreme!! We should be victorious!! Not you weaklings!! We will not fail our Master or the Lord of Shadows!!"

"The Lord of Shadows? What do you mean by that? I thought you were only taking orders from the Dark One?" Lightning asked.

"The Dark One is our master! But you weak pure hearted Pokémon praise Arceus. We praise the Renegade Pokémon! Also known as the Lord of Shadows, Giratina! This world will belong to us! And once we make this world into a new one where only the strongest Pokémon live, our Lord may be free from his prison in the Distortion World as well as his followers that were banished there with him by Arceus!"

"There was far more about the Shadow Pokémon than you may think. They become monsters that betray the Alpha Pokémon and take the side of evil. Arceus was never able to defeat them on his own without risking on being attacked by Pokémon wishing to be the strongest Pokémon in the world or be corrupted by them. So in order to protect this world, he needs the help of chosen Pokémon given or born with special powers to help defeat them instead which is why avoiding the seven sins is important so our protection isn't broken. Our hearts must stay pure!"

"Pure hearts...?" Luigi thought to himself. He shook his head as if trying to forget something that happened long ago. The Shadow Pokémon could feel something inside of him that made them grin on pleasure. "Him! Get him!! We can sense weakness in him!! He is not as strong willed as his brother!!" The Lucario's eyes turned blood red in anger as he said those words, pointing at Luigi.

"W-what?!" Luigi stuttered. "What do you want from me?!"

The Vikavolt's eyes were the next ones to become blood red before he used Sticky Web on him. He was trapped under a sticky net like web before he could react.

"Oh no, Luigi!" Lightning yelled.

Luigi gasped in surprise realizing he was trapped. "AHHH!!! HELP!!! MARIO, LIGHTNING!! HELP ME!!!" He cried.

"LUIGI!!" Mario shouted, running towards him. The Shadow Venusaur's vines stretched over to Mario and slashed him away from his brother. He used the move Power Whip on him, knocking him over to the side. "MARIO!!!" Luigi shouted, tears in his eyes.

The Vikavolt then flew past him and grabbed Luigi in the Sticky web with its front legs. Mario quickly got to his paws, ran and jumped to grab a hold of the bottom of the web.

"Mario!! Be Careful!!" Lightning shouted. The Shadow Butterfree flew over to Mario and tried to get him to let go by knocking into him as the Vikavolt tried flying back up. The red clad Flareon was trying to keep ahold of the web Net with his front claws digging into it.

"Mario! Hang on!" Luigi warned him in a worried tone.

"Don't worry Luigi! I won't leave you behind!" Mario told him.

Lightning was on the ground below them, unsure of what to do. She didn't want to attack the Butterfree or she could risk hitting her friends and she couldn't possibly hit the Vikavolt if she didn't want the brothers to fall, could she? She then remembered her Espeon friend, Amethyst, was there with her. "Amethyst, we got to help them! Please! Those Shadow Pokémon are going to take them away and do terrible things to them if we don't do something! I-I can attack the Vikavolt but you got to promise me that you'll make sure you are able to catch them both!"

"I will," She nodded, " but we don't have much time so you have to attack him now!"

"Krystal, Faith. Are you able to handle the Venusaur and Lucario so they don't get in the way?" Lightning asked.

"Of course! You got it!" They answered.

Lightning nodded in understanding. She then used Electro Ball and aimed it at the Vikavolt before releasing it at her target. She managed to hit him as the Vikavolt was stunned for a moment, causing him to drop the web net. Mario and Luigi were both free falling from the sky until Amethyst managed to catch them both with Psychic and gently landing them on the ground.

Lightning used Iron Tail to tear a hole in the sticky web net to free Luigi who immediately hugged Mario and cried on his shoulder. Mario patted his brothers back to comfort him. "It's okay, Luigi! You're safe now!"

"Oh! Thank Arceus! Are you both alright?!" Lightning asked.

"We're fine. I-I'm just a bit shaken..." Luigi trembled, rubbing the tears out of his eyes. "Thanks for saving us. Grazie amici!" Luigi told Lightning and Amethyst.

"Of course. We wouldn't let anything happen to you both." Lightning replied.

Luigi turned back to his big brother. "Mario, you know you could have risked your own life doing that."

"I don't care. I couldn't just let those evil creeps get you. You're my brother and I would do anything to keep you safe!"

"You're the best big brother ever!" Luigi buried his face into Mario's chest and continued to sob quietly as his big brother patted his head softly. "I-I would do the same for you too, Mario. We protect each other...!" He sniffed, rubbing his eyes as an attempt to calm himself down.

Mario gave his little brother a small smile as Luigi made a half smile back at him.

"I'm sorry to have to break up your little brotherly love moment but we still got trouble!" Lightning told them.

"Right! Let's get them back for messing with you, Luigi!" Mario told him. Luigi slowly nodded in response.

Let's-a go!" They replied in unison, bumping paws.

"That's the spirit, you two!" Lightning smiled. "Let's finish this together!" Her red cheeks were sparking in determination as the brothers smiled back at her and nodded as they touched the brim of their hats with their paws and tilted it a little.

The trio of friends then continued the fight with their Eeveelution Allies by their side. They were hoping they would be able to defeat the rest of the Shadow Pokémon team soon before they would collapse from exhaustion.

A new story was also released. My first story adaptation to a video game: Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon. I may update that once a month or once every two months. I haven't decided when exactly but most likely it's going to depend on if a chapter is ready or not. Either Dark Moon will get updated. Or this story. Or both if I either forgot to publish the chapter or got bored and decided to write a lot for that month.
