Confrontation
It was now Friday and Ted was finally completely healed. No bruises, no soreness, no pain of any kind. He was at his peak. That also meant it was time to take on the court. Pip hadn't woken him up and everyone was gone doing their own thing. Jose had some club stuff while Oscar wanted to check out the girls as they walked in. He rushed to school excited to tell everyone about the plan, only to not be able to find anyone. Oscar wasn't at the gate, Jose wasn't at her club, and Pip didn't come even when Ted was minding his own business. He went to class and found Eve but she was surrounded by her entire fan club and Olivia was no where to be found. This was just, odd. He didn't even run into the sisters. He figured he could just talk to Eve in chemistry but even that turned out to be fruitless when Mr. Scaleless sent her to run an errand which took most of the class so he was left alone to do a rather difficult lab. Honestly it was probably the easiest thing he had done all month.
He sighed as he entered computer class but found that Steph was getting a check up at the doctors which would take til lunch so he just held his breath a bit longer. Pip still hasn't popped up and even Jim was missing from school. Cid was in his English class so maybe he'll see him then. Cid was there! But he was talking to his uncle Mr. Landon. When he sat down class started so he never had the change to talk to him. After class Cid had to run to the office to drop off some forms and Ted was once again alone. Lunch time he'll see everyone.
"I promised I would eat with Steven and Daniel today." Eve said.
"Got caught ditching amigo." Jim said annoyed looking at William.
"Maybe tomorrow. I have to help my unc..uh Mr. Landon with some paper work." Cid said awkwardly.
"Headmistress wants to talk." Ned said plainly.
"Club stuff." Jose said while walking right passed him.
"Got my daily runs to do bro. You know the cheerleaders practice during this time." Oscar said eyeing two girls.
"I have to go to the library to complete a assignment of epic proportions!" Pip said with a tear rolling down his eye even though he was smiling.
"I have to clean up my mess from lab. Something something gunpowder. I dunno." Lilith said rolling her eyes.
"The doctor said i need to stay inside as much as possible for the rest of the day." Steph said sadly.
That left him with one final person. The person he was really hoping he wouldn't be left alone with. He approached Olivia who was checking the school's bulletin board. She had her hair up in a bun and was actually wearing her glasses. Ok this whole cute thing she had going on wasn't helping the situation. Ted just swallowed his pride and went over to where she was and put an arm up before deciding it wasn't as cool as he thought and went with the arms cross leaning against the wall pose. Olivia finally noticed him and turned to face him with a smile.
"Hey!" She greeted cutely.
'Damnit!' Ted thought. "H-hey Olivia. What's up?" He asked. He suddenly realized how everyone watched them out of the corner of their eyes. He had noticed people staring at him since day one but people seemed to look at him closer when he was around her or Eve. Even Steph now that he thought about it. "I was just checking in on the board. Seeing if anyone posted anything regarding the Drama club." She explained. He had recalled seeing something that morning about auditions but there were now absent from the board. 'That's weird. Wonder where it went.' He wondered. He happened to look behind him to see two girls giggling across the way. In their hands was a piece of paper. He narrowed his eyes and noticed the Dram on it.
"I'll be right back." He said. He turned towards the girls and put on his best smile. The girls noticed him and stopped laughing. "Good afternoon. I'm Ted. Freshman. How are you ladies doing today?" He asked in his most charming voice. It was now time to use everything Oscar and Jim had taught him. Maybe even throw in a bit of Pip in there. "We're doing good. How are you?" The blonde one asked. Ted leaned against the wall. "Doing just fine til you two showed up. Now i'm in heaven." He cooed. The girls seemed flattered now. "I was just looking for any info about Drama club but then I saw you two." Now his plan was in effect. The brunette looked down at her hands and then back to him. "Actually, we happen to have this." She said showing him the paper. Ted got it with a smirk. "Thank you. Why did you have this? Shouldn't it be on the board?" He asked keeping up the act. The girls giggled as the looked at Olivia. "That weirdo wants to try out for a part. Why bother honestly?"The blonde laughed as well. Ted lost the act as he glared at them. "Thanks for the info." He said in a sour voice.
He turned and walked back to Olivia with the paper. He handed it to her while looking at the girls. "Auditions are Friday after school." He said smiling at her. Olivia beamed as she took the paper and looked it over. It seemed she wasn't aware of what had happened. It made Ted's blood boil. Seems like the council didn't give a damn after all. Did they even know what was going on in this school? It made him sick to think that they claimed to be protecting the school. They didn't care. They didn't even know. "Hey you wanna eat lunch together?"
---------
Drake stared at the gang member below from his office. It was an old warehouse revised for their own use. It was a gift from a friend. Said friend was now walking into the warehouse causing everyone to stand up and salute. The masked man known as Emperor was walking up the steps and Drake decided to greet him. Emperor walked in and waved at the junior. "Good evening Drake. I see operations are going well." He said in a impressed manner. Drake smirked. It was hard to win his approval. Very hard. "I also hear that you have been having issues regarding a certain boy. Yelawolf?" Drake's smirk dropped.
Before he could answer, Emperor tossed him a phone. "We had a deal Gordon. You wouldn't interfere with Foghorn business. Now tell me why five of your men took over an entire park!" Drake closed his eyes in both annoyance and disappointment. "I had no part of that. They acted out of orders..."
Emperor backhanded Drake across the room. He then rushed over before he had a chance to recover and lifted him to his feet. "You pest! You can't even control your own men!" He slammed his fist into the boy's gut and threw him onto the floor. "Do your damn job Gordon or I will end you." He threatened. Emperor left without another word as Drake laid on the floor unable to move.
-------
Ted and Olivia sat in silence while eating the food Pip had given them on their way out. It was a nice day with the sun out and only a few clouds here and there. The quietness was nice as well. It was peaceful in a strange way to not have everyone here.
"And then he, I guess he just ran off? You don't see him for the rest of the movie." Olivia finished. She was currently telling Ted about a movie she had seen. While he was still made about what had happened in the hall, he was still going to support her. He turned his head to look out at the town which was barley visible behind the massive trees blocking his view. "Hey, about the other day..."
There it was.
Ted turned so he could face Olivia who was hugging her knees. Ted blushed at the memory of kissing her. It felt really nice and made him feel all warm inside and......what the hell? That was weird. Back to the main point at hand.
Ted looked at her blankly before getting what she had just said. The blush on both of their faces was unbelievable. 'Quick! Think of a way to change the subject!'
"H-hey! Now that I think about it, Leonard never gave you a title!" Ted said while looking away. He snapped back to reality when he realized what he had just said. He turned back to Olivia who was looking at him confused. "Why would they? I don't fight." She said as if it was completely obvious. Ted was about to argue but then he realized that even Steph and Cid had titles because they did something to help the group. But even Eve had one. He suddenly felt bad for Olivia. She must have felt left out.
"Well, would you like one?" Ted asked. Olivia looked at him with a small smile. "Can you even do that? I mean I don't really do much. You guys are always doing a lot but I'm just there most of the time." She said burying her face in her knees. Ted stood up and bowed. "Well if I truly am the King of Fools then surely I must have some power to do so." He said in a overdramatic manner. Olivia watched amused as Ted looked around the roof before finding a wooden pole. He tucked it into his belt and walked over to the small girl.
"And as King I hereby assign you a title to solidify your status in my kingdom of Fools." He finished as he stood in front of her. Olivia just kept giggling. Ted smiled as he kneeled down in front of her. "What would that title be Oh fair knight?" Olivia joked. Ted pretended to look her over before standing back up. 'Now isn't the time to be awkward.' He told himself. He took a deep breath and took a leap of faith.
"As King of Fool I hereby declare you my queen should you choose to accept!" He stated.
Olivia's eyes went wide as he reached his hand out. She returned to buring her face in her knees as she seemed to think it over. "Is this your way of, asking me to be your girlfriend?" She asked. Ted nodded shyly. Suddenly he felt a warmth take his hand and looked down to see Olivia had grabbed it. "In that case I...."
"Will stop this nonsense."
The two turned to see Wesley there on the roof with them. He was as gloomy as ever and was glaring at the two of them. "I have no idea what's going on here but you will not mock our King." He threatened. Ted slowly let go of Olivia's hand and turned to face the other boy. The two were now in a stare down which caused unease in Olivia. She had remembered what had happened the last time Wesley attacked. He was so much faster than Ted and that strength was something out of a comic book.
"I wasn't mocking anyone. I was just messing around. Is having fun against the rules here?" Ted asked. Wesley let out a long sigh. "Not directly. That would be illegal." He said in his depressed tone. 'God this guy is a bummer.' Wesley walked towards the two but Ted didn't bother getting any kind of fighting stance. Olivia watched as Wesley stopped in front of the younger boy. "You're not scared?" He asked.
Ted just shrugged. "I have a few questions I feel you can answer. If I'm allowed." Wesley looked over to Olivia and groaned. "I suppose." He said.
"Say I challenge Leonard...."
"You'd be an idiot to do."
"Say I do, what happens if I win?" Ted asked.
Wesley almost looked like he was going to laugh. "Challenging the King is trouble enough. To win is impossible. For the last four years Leonard had protected this school from the lowest of the low. No one has ever beaten him and it will remain that way until he moves it onto his successor." Wesley explained. Ted rolled his eyes. That didn't answer his question. "Should you defeat all odds and somehow survive the fight by winning, you will be immediately crowned as the new King. The same would go for the other council members. If you beat me you'll be the Duke, beat Samuel you'll be the Prince, you beat Joseph you'll be the Jester, beat Corey you'll be the Duchess though since you are a guy you'd just beat up a girl for a title you can't use."
There it was. So there was a way to become King. He just had to be Leonard. Though if Wesley and Corey's strength is to say anything about Leonard, he was in for a fight.
"Say I beat you, if i beat another member while being a member could i assign someone else in that spot? Like if I was the Duke and I beat the Prince, can I be the Prince and put someone else as Duke?" Ted asked.
Olivia saw where this was going. She didn't like it one bit. Wesley groaned like it physically hurt him to answer. "Yes you could do that but beating one member is near impossible. Beating two is just dumb luck at that point." Ted smiled.
"So it's not impossible."
Wesley sighed again and blew the hair out of his face. 'God this kid just screams emo goth.' Ted thought as he looked at the boy. He was a bit taller than Ted but his hair was a lot longer. As in it covered his eye and had green highlights. He also had several lip piercings and a chain hung from his belt loop to what Ted assumed was a wallet. 'How is he that strong?' He wondered.
"So I'm guessing you'll be challenging the Council?" Wesley asked. Ted simply nodded. "Well in that case I guess I have a duty to take you down now."
Ted's smile grew as the flame appeared once more. It was finally time to see what he could do now that he was healed. He had also just refilled on booms and boy did he want to let out all the stress he's had over the last few weeks. Wesley reached into his pocket and pulled out a black object which was connected to the chain. He then placed it on his face revealing a gas mask type accessory. He took a deep breath and let it out. Ted pulled on his gloves and readied his booms. Olivia stood up and looked around. No one else was here but they were high up.
"This isn't the place to fight. Someone can get seriously injured. Someone might fall of the roof." She tried to reason. Ted agreed as did Wesley. "Let's move this down to the field." He suggested.
-----------
Jim was walking back towards the roof for a smoke and to hopefully talk to Ted about the whole Council thing before he spotted a group of people watching something from the windows. William turned and saw him calling him over. "What's going on Angel?" Jim asked slightly pissed off. William rolled his eyes and pointed to the commotion outside. Jim looked down from the third story and realized why everyone was staring. "Why is Ted about to fight a Student Council member?" William asked.
"Hell if I know." Jim said clenching his fists. Pip ran up and found him. He was filled in on the situation and was forced to watch as his best friend readied for a fight. "Why aren't you stopping this? Isn't that your job?" Jim asked. William shook his head. "I can't interfere with Council business. If there's a fight I have to let it happen." He said trying to remain calm.
Soon more footsteps were heard and everyone else joined them. "Isn't that Wesley? What is he doing?" Lilith asked. Everyone was watching tensely as they tried to find some way to help. Jim must've known. "We can't help him on this one. A Council fight has to be a 1 on 1. Any interference will end the fight and the challenger will be in some serious trouble." He explained.
"Damnit." Ned whispered. Olivia found them and rushed over to them. "Olivia, what is he doing?" Pip asked. She caught her breath and looked out to the two boys. "He plans on taking on the entire council." She revealed.
'He really is a fool.' William thought as he turned his attention back to the fight.
--------
Ted has tossed his blazer aside and left the white undershirt which was untucked. Wesley did the same but his undershirt was black showing his status as a SC member. They were just standing there waiting to start. Staring at each other.
'I have no idea what that mask is or what it does. I have to be careful with it.' Ted analysis.
Wesley took another deep breath. Suddenly he was gone. Ted took his stance as he looked around. Where did he even go? Suddenly Wesley was there in front of him. He slammed his arm against Ted's rib which sent him flying away. Wesley vanished once again before reappearing where Ted was about to land. He threw a roundhouse kick which sent him into the ground.
-------
"What the hell was that?!" Cid asked. No one could believe their eyes. Is was as if he had just teleported. Plus the strength that came from that skinny body. "It looked like something out of an anime!" Steph exclaimed.
"I thought it was only a rumor." William said still looking at the scene below. "The Ghost of the West." Jim mumbled.
"Care to explain?" Ned asked. Jim nodded. "Wesley is the Duke of West Wood but he has a second name. The Ghost of the West. His speed is unrivaled. For years he had been running and training himself to be as fast as possible. It appears that he just teleports or disappears but the truth is he's just incredibly quick. He always wears weighted clothing and that mask he's wearing helps put oxygen in his lungs so he never runs out of breath. He is a force to be reckoned." He explained.
"So when he took off his blazer...."
"It was weighted. He is faster than Ted already but now it's a gap the size of the Grand Canyon."
--------
Ted coughed up a bit of dirt as he stood back up. He got back into his stance and faced the older boy. 'This isn't good. How is he so quick?' Ted wondered. Wesley vanished once again leaving Ted wide open. 'Where'd he go?' Suddenly Wesley appeared behind him and delivered a hard knee to his back launching him forward. Ted caught himself and flipped around to land on his feet. He threw two booms towards Wesly but he vanished once again before they could hit. 'He's too fast.' Wesley appeared and knocked Ted away once again.
-------
"Why is my brother fighting the damn ghost?" Everyone turned to see Oscar and Jose rushing towards them. "Apparently he plans to take over the Council." Lilith explained. Oscar looked out the window at his little brother. "Why the hell would he want to do that?" He asked. No one answered. They suddenly realized that this was why he wanted to talk. "Oh no. We could've stopped him." Eve realized. Olivia quickly stepped in. "No! This wasn't planned. It just happened. We were goofing around when Wesley showed up." She confirmed.
Everyone seemed to relax just a bit but they looked back down to the fight. "Still, we could've prevented this." Pip said to himself. Jose looked at the group and frowned. "Ok, first of all, Ted does what he wants. There's no stopping him once he has a dumb idea. Secondly, you can't hold yourselves responsible for my idoit brother all the time. He's his own person." She scolded. Everyone apologized before they turned back to the fight.
---------
Ted stood back up and placed a boom in his hand. He rushed towards Wesley who vanished earning a smirk. Wesley appeared by his side and swung but Ted tossed the boom at him before he was flown across the way once again. The boom collided with Wesley before he could react. It blew on his leg causing him to flinch in pain.
"You got a hit in?" He said amazed. Ted stood back up and rushed towards him once again but Wesley was faster. What he wasn't however, was clever. Ted stopped just as Wesley appeared a couple of feet away. Ted threw two more booms but missed when he dissapeared and reappeared behind the explosion. "Not bad." He complimented.
Ted grinned as he pulled out a few more booms. 'That's the trick. He expects me to stop as if I was going to attack. He must not have noticed that these booms aren't meant for close combat like I use them for. They're for ranged attacks. Now if only I can slow him down.' Ted ran toward the boy again but he vanished. Ted kept running however and leaped up as Wesley appeared below him. Ted threw down four booms which exploded around the boy thought not hitting him.
--------
"He missed?" Steph asked. Jim looked closer and realized what he had done. "No. He was aiming for the ground. Look." Everyone watched as the dirt flew up around Wesley almost blocking his view. "He's trying to slow him down." Lilith pointed out. Jim nodded. Ned seemed impressed. "If he can slow him down enough he can hit him. Not a bad plan though with Wesley's speed he'll need to do a lot more."
----------
Ted turned towards Wesley as the flame glowed brighter in his eye. 'Perfect. That mask only covers his mouth leaving his eyes wide open. If I can temporarily blind him then I can attack if I'm fast enough. I have to stay close to him though' he thought. Wesley recovered and vanished. Ted leaped up again only to be slammed back down when Wesley appeared above him. Ted recovered just as Wesley slammed his leg down onto the poor boy. Wesley vanished before reappearing a few feet away.
Ted stood back up and looked at the boy. 'How is he not out of breath yet?' He wondered. He looked closely at the mask and realized what it was. 'A breathing mask? He must regulate the oxygen coming through. If I can get that thing away from him then he won't be able to attack as fast without suffering from it.' Ted planned.
"Do you wish to give up on this stupid crusade?" Wesley asked. Ted chuckled. "No way Weasel! I'm going to win and take your title!" Ted said mocking the boy. Wesley's eye twitched at the nickname just as he vanished. Ted rolled away as Wesley slammed his foot onto the empty space. Ted was on all fours as he leaped towards the boy. Wesley vanished and Ted turned the leap into a roll as Wesley reappeared where he once was. Ted threw the booms at him which temporarily blinded the boy. Ted worked fast and reached his hand out pulling the mask off successfully. He rolled away and placed the mask into his pocket.
"Now that that's out of the way, let's continue." He smirked.
--------
"He got the mask!" Everyone was shocked at the move. Jim smiled. "If there's one thing Ted has going for him it's his creativity. He always knows how to use his movements to his benefit." He said happily.
Olivia was the only one not cheering. She was still beyond worried for her friend. Eve noticed this and held her hand for comfort. "He'll be ok." She reassured her. Olivia nodded but never looked away. She was staring at the flame she could clearly see. Eve looked at her worried when her eyes suddenly flickered red before turning back to blue. "Are you ok?" She asked.
Olivia nodded.
--------
Wesley recovered and faced his opponent. Ted smiled smugly as he readied for the next attack. Wesley moved but Ted had already reacted. He could see Wesley now though he was still quick and he was too fast to keep track. Wesley stopped round Ted and threw a series of hits which knocked the air out of him. Ted rolled away before hopping back up. He had no time to recover when Wesley began an onslaught of attacks on the boy. Ted bit the bullet and slammed two booms onto the boy which knocked them both away from each other.
Ted lifted himself back up and noticed his shirt was torn all over. Wesley stood back up and glared at the boy. His eyes went wide when he saw it. The flame. The bright flame that was raging on the pure instinct to fight. It was burning brighter than ever.
--------
"The flame. It's so bright." Eve said. Everyone looked at her confused. "What flame?" Cid asked. Eve pointed at her eye. "The one he gets when he fights. Everytime he fights someone new he always gets this flame. It's not real but, it's hard to explain. It's like his fighting spirit. Like it's the only time he's...."
"Alive." Jose finished. Everyone turned to the siblings to see Jose shaking while Oscar even looked serious. "He's been like that since he was younger. He fell into this pit of depression and we were worried he wouldn't get out. Then one day, the flame appeared. It was after one of his matches when he broke his arm. That was when the flame first appeared as you call it." Oscar explained.
He looked down at his younger brother who was smiling widely. "It's the only time he feel truly alive." Everyone seemed shocked at this news. Ted, was depressed? "For how long?" Ned asked.
"Since his parents passed away." Jose revealed. That seemed to sting everyone in the heart. They knew his parents had died but they never knew it impacted him that hard. Oscar's serious expression suddenly turned into a sad smile. "That's why we need to let him do this. This is the only way to help him. He feels the need to win so he can protect those he loves. That is the kind of person he is."
--------
"This is ridiculous! You can't possibly hope to beat all of us!" Wesley shouted. Ted didn't answer. He just pulled out a handful of booms from his pouch and rushed the boy. Wesley dashed away but Ted tossed two booms up in the air before kicking them towards his opponent. They exploded just as they hit Wesely knocking him away. Ted threw two more which tossed up dirt and smiled as he held his hand out. He entered the cloud of dirt blocking everyone's view. He reemerged as the dust settled and Wesely was left standing there confused. 'What did he even do?'
Ted smiled as the flame grew brighter and brighter. Wesely suddenly realized he wasn't wearing his glove. He looked down at his chest to see that Ted had tucked it into his shirt. Wesley tried to pull it out but found he couldn't. Ted had stuffed it under the button. 'When did he...the dust!'
Ted grabbed a handful of booms and dashed towards the older boy who, smiled. He was outsmarted and had lost. There was no argument. Ted slammed his fist into the boy's gut and time seemed to slow.
---------
Wesely was 6 when he began to run. He couldn't recall the first time but he knew why. His parents fought a lot. His dad would come home tired and frustrated while his mother spent all day drinking. Things finally fell apart when his mother asked for a divorce. Due to his age, Wesely had no say in the manner when he was told he would have to live with his mother and her new boyfriend. Then one night, he ran. He ran and ran but everytime they would catch him.
When he was 10 he found himself running for a different reason. The boys at his school made fun of him. They would tease him about his parent's marriage and his mother's uncontrolled sex habits. There had been rumors that he was simply another child of hers but the only one she kept. When he finally had enough they beat him. He began to run. He ran to get away from them. He ran and ran but everytime they would catch him.
By the age of 13 he was living with his dad like he had wanted. He spent most of his free day running around the neighborhood trying to work on his speed. He wanted to be fast. He needed to be. His dad saw him one day and offered to help. He gave him weighted clothes and would follow him on his bike everyday for a 10 mile jog. He ran and ran and everyday he got faster.
He entered West Wood and immediately caught attention. Some of the boys from his old school had transferred there as well. Wesley the Weasel they would call him. That was his title. It wasn't until one day when a group of boys cornered him that he earned a new one. Ghost of the West. He didn't realize that the Council was watching the whole thing. He had met a boy a year older than him who asked him to join. Leonard Lionhart. He taught him how to properly fight and how to use his speed. He ran and ran and one day he was a Duke.
Leonard gave him friends, a family. He helped him greatly and was the closest thing he had to a brother.
----------
'I'm sorry my lord. Looks like I failed.'
Those were his last thoughts before the explosion erupted and he faded out of consciousness. The explosion was large enough to rattle the windows up to the second floor. Everyone watched as a large cloud of dirt flew up. Everyone waited to see what would happen next after the dust settled.
"Ted!"
"Theo!"
"You idiot!"
Leonard watched from the Student Council room with his Council as the dust finally set. Ted was standing there, arm still stretched out, victorious. Leonard snarled.
--------
Ted looked at his arm. His shirt was burnt up to his shoulder and his entire arm was now slightly burnt. As for what protected his lungs, a mask he had borrowed earlier helped greatly. He smiled as he took it off and looked towards the school.
"LEONARD LIONHART! I HOPE YOU CAN HEAR ME CAUSE I GOT SOMETHING TO SAY TO YOU!"
--------
"What is he doing?!" Cid asked. No one answered. What was he doing?
--------
"I WILL OBEY YOUR COMMAND TO STOP MY CRUSADE AGAINST THE DEMONS! NOT OUT OF THE KINDESS OF MY HEART OR OUT OF FEAR OF YOU! I WILL STOP ONLY UNTIL I DEFEAT YOU AND YOUR COURT! YOU HAVE FORSAKEN THIS SCHOOL AND ABANDONED IT! THAT ENDS NOW! I JUST SHOWED THAT THE COURT ISN'T UNTOUCHABLE! I'M NOW THE DUKE AND I WILL FIGHT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU UNTIL I BECOME THE KING! THIS IS MY DECLARATION! YOU CALLED ME THE KING OF FOOLS? I'LL SHOW YOU JUST HOW FOLLISH I CAN REALLY BE!"
-------
"Did he just..."
"Declare war on the entire Council. Yeah. He did." Jim finished Lilith's statement.
"Not bad."
Everyone turned to the new voice. Drake stood there impressed at the sheer stupidity of the boy below. Ned and Jim got ready to fight while Pip stood in front of the others. Drake put his hands up.
"I'm not here to fight. I think the school has had enough excitement for one day. I'm here to tell you that I'll be calling the Demons off of you all. Temporarily of course." He stated.
"Why? What's your game Drake?" Lilith asked. Drake just shrugged. "I'm bored and could use some entertainment. Once Ted finsihes this crap then we'll go back to our little game. Till then, you don't have to worry about us coming after you." He promised. He turned away and walked down the hall before stopping. "Oh and Jose, you should visit Carrie more often. She's probably getting bored with me and Jim." He smirked. He dissapeared around the corner leaving everyone to look at the two.
"I'll explain later. For now we should help Ted get to the nurse." Jim said turning the opposite way. Everyone followed.
--------
Ted lifted the older boy onto his back and began to walk towards the school. "Wh-what are you doing?" Ted looked over his shoulder to see that Wesley was awake. "What do you think? I'm taking you to the nurse." He said as if it was completely obvious. Wesley didn't say anything. "Also, sorry for earlier and calling you a Weasel. I was just trying to get under your skin. You're a lot stronger than a Weasel." Ted laughed. Wesley stayed silent but accepted the apology. "Why aren't you leaving me behind?"
Ted looked forward as he walked. "My beef with you is over now. You're not really a threat to me since you aren't on the Court anymore. I don't have a reason to kick you while you're down dude." He smiled. Wesley looked at the boy but sighed. "You're a weird kid."
"So it would seem." The two began to chuckle but Wesely stopped when he felt the pain in his gut. "Feel-good will patch you up good don't worry. For now you should rest. I got it from here."
'It seems like you do. If you really are to become king, I would be ok with it. You seem like a good man.' Wesely thought. He closed his eyes and fell asleep while Ted continued his march towards the nurse's office.
