So far she was keeping pace with the other warriors. They had passed the sky oak only a few heartbeats ago. "Let's hunt."
Ordered Cloudtail, leader of the patrol. We paired up. I was with Stormheart and Rainwhisker. They both looked at me."oops!"
I said embarrassed. They were looking at me for directions on what to hunt and where. I flicked my tail at a juicy looking vole who had no idea we where there. Rainwhisker and Stormheart cornered it by a tree as I stalked towards it. I bit it's neck in a clean blow. "Nice, I'm sure Ferncloud will like it."
Cloudtail remarked as he admired her catch. "Let's go back before sunhigh, greystripe's waiting for a report." Cloudtail stated.
Soon they were at the camps bramble entrance, first Cloudtail went through, then Thornclaw, Rainwhisker, and Stormheart signaled me to go in before him, which I accepted. By the time I was dropping off my freshkill Cloudtail was bragging to Ashfur on good hunting skills seen in his patrol. I assumed Cloudtail had reported to Greystripe already because he was walking over here with Firestar. "Greetings, Liontail."
I flicked my tail in acknowledgement as cause I was eating my vole.
"We Think you, Squirrelflight and Stormheart are ready for apprentices." Firestar announced as Stormheart came bounding across as he had heard his name.
"An apprentice?" Stormheart and I yowled together in excitement.
"Yes, Squirrelflight will mentor Birchkit, Stormheart will mentor Whitekit, and You will mentor Foxkit." Firestar ordered.
"What about Icekit? I asked.
"Cloudtail will mentor her, after all, they aren't kin." Greystripe spoke.

Soon she was asleep faster than she could mouse.
