Luckily, Sunshine made it back to Queen Glory's platform with Passion, Pineapple, and Starfruit long before Queen Glory did. When Queen Glory and Deathbringer finally arrived on the platform, Queen Glory looked thoroughly stressed, and Deathbringer looked worried. "What happened?" Sunshine asked innocently.

Queen Glory sighed and turned to face her. "There was a jaguar attack, eastern jungle. It had a cub, and I have to decide what to do with it." She sighed again and began pacing.

"Can it be tamed?" Sunshine asked.

Queen Glory looked like she would snap angrily at Sunshine. She managed to control herself, but her words had an angry bite to them. "Of course it can be trained," Queen Glory growled, "But there has to be someone willing to train it. Added to that are the pens to be built, immense food requirements, potential dangers to those too curious for their own good..." She continued listing the issues, counting them off on her talons. "...And finally, I simply have nowhere to put it and no time to clear a space," she concluded.

"I would very much like to see this... jaguar," Sunshine said confidently, struggling only slightly on the last word.

"Of course you would," Queen Glory muttered, barely audible. Orange flickered onto her scales, and she fought to keep it out. After a long moment of thinking, she growled, "Fine. You can go in the morning after dawn and after the pen has been built. You must stay away from the pen and take your guards with you... And Deathbringer." Deathbrigner looked startled at the mention of his name but nodded.

Sunshine smiled up at Queen Glory and bid her goodnight before curling up on her bed, dreaming of the day to come.
