Chapter 6 | Complicated Relations
4 Months ago.....
A loud knock could be heard from the other side of the large oak double doors leading to he office. "Come in." A loud booming voice called from inside the office.
In came a young (H/C) girl with shining red eyes, nervousness was ever present in her.
"Did you need me Dad..?" She asked, her hands deep within her pants pocket as not to fidget. Her father scared her, he was powerful, dominating, strict, and had a naturally loud voice, like most of her family.
"Yes, sit down (Y/N) we have a lot to talk about..." He said as he gestured to the two leather chairs in front of him.
She took shaky steps forward from her position by the door and took a seat on the chair to the left, leaning into it as if she wanted to sink and never reappear.
"As you know, your being sent to UA for 2 reasons. To better yourself and your inability to pay correct attention to your surroundings and to protect the students there." He said, stressing your flaw. "Am also sure that you remember that boy Todoroki Shouto as well? His father was Endeavor. You've met them before but I'm unsure if you remember them."
"Shouto... The peppermint kid from when I was 5?" She asked, earning a stern look from her father.
He let out a sigh but nodded. "His father, Enji Todoroki, better known as Endeavor, has plans for our company and his own. He is willing to sponsor our new branch in Japan. On the condition that you two work as a team."
"A team..? That's it?" She asked, she began to shift uncomfortably. It sounded nice at first, to have a partner to work with, especially someone she knew, but there was always a catch.
"In a sense, yes. Although, I'm afraid there was more to his... suggestion..." Her father said sighing. "He would like to arrange a marriage between you two." he muttered.
Her eyes widened and her mouth opened, but her words were caught in her throat. An arranged marriage? Much alike all of the romantic tragedies that her mother read. She took a deep breath and was about to retort, but her father beat her too it.
"I know what you're thinking, but don't worry, your mother's against it as well as I am. We're not going to tie you to someone who you aren't willing to. If you wish to marry him in the future you may, but we are not going through with any proposals concerning your freedom. Don't worry (Y/N)." He said as he stood up and walked over to her. "We would never put you in a position like that." He gently ruffled her hair and turned back to the windows behind him.
All the while she looked up at her father with an almost forgotten feeling. She admired him for a moment, that for once she wasn't afraid or intimidated by him. She would remember this, but it would do her little good of an argument after she had been informed that she was to head to Japan because she was inadequate as a hero. Because she had failed her father and several other lives were the price.

"Alright! Lets tour your room!" Mina said in a loud excited voice as the girls chatted and urged her onwards to her room. All the while she had another crowd behind her. Uraraka had dragged the other three boys along. Therefore, Midoriya, Todoroki, and Iida had been attending. Then all the other curious boys tagged along, Kaminari, Sero, Mineta, and Kirishima. They dragged along Bakugo.
She let out a nervous chuckle as she made her way tp her room and grabbed the doorknob. "Um- just, dont judge too much. Its not like its much anyways." She said shrugging as she opened the door to her room.
Her room had a few posters of (favorite show) and a couple others of (favorite band). Her bed was in the corner to the right with (favorite color) bed sheets and had a (favorite animal) stuffed animal. In the left corner was a (2nd favorite color) themed desk with a few action/stuffed figures. It wasn't really out of place for a normal teenager. Although, there was one thing that stood out. The small poster of an American hero.
"Ohhh (L/N)-chan! Who's this?!" Mina asked as she pointed to a red and yellow colored hero poster.
"Oh! Well, that's a poster of Inferno. He's my dad." She said with a proud smile.
The more enthusiastic personalities started to marvel at the poster and compared her with her father. She gave a nervous chuckle at each comparison. Many people had compared her to her father, many said that she was destined to become stronger than him, but she was reckless.
Although, there were a few reactions from specific people that she noted. One of them being Kirishima's sharp toothed smile, before it turned into a concerned look. He knew that her relationship with her father was a little bit complicated. She looked up to the man but feared him completely. People saw him as a hero but her family viewed him as a villain because of how stern he was. Therefore, she didn't know what she wanted to see her father as.
Another strange reaction was Bakugo's staring/glaring at the picture of her father in front of him and then turning back to stare at her. This went back and forth for a while. Then there was a reaction you didn't expect.
Todoroki looked at the poster of your father with an almost fond expression. Did he seriously favor your father over his own? Probably. He then turned back to face you, your eyes met before his expression went back to normal and he looked away.
"Oi! What the hell's your old man do? Is he a pro?" Bakugo asked with narrowed eyes.
"Yeah, he's a pro hero. Unlike Japan though, he specializes in capturing villains while the rest of his hero company kind of just dabbles in the rest of the fields. Actually- his hero company is one of the new ones that has different heroes and branches."
"So you come from a hero family as well (L/N)-san?" Midoriya asked eagerly as he took out his notebook and pencil. "Tell me more about your quirk please! Is it a fire type like your father's? What's your mother's quirk? Is your quirk more or less powerful as your father's? What ranking is your father in terms of heroes in America?"
She was overwhelmed by his questions but answered his last one. "My dad's number 12 in America. As for my quirk... Well, I heard from Aizawa-sensei that we're having quirk training tomorrow. So you'll have to wait and see!" She answered with a mischievous smile.
"HAH! What the fuck?! You're not gonna fucking tell us shit?!" Bakugo suddenly burst angrily.
She jumped back at his sudden outburst, but everyone else seemed to be used to it already. After that everyone rushed Bakugo out and Midoriya and Kirishima apologized to her for his rash behavior. Soon enough everyone was out of her room and it was just her and Kirishima who were left.
He sighed and closed the door as he looked at her with a giddy but tired smile. "What a day am I right?!" He said laughing.
"Yeah..." She said trailing off as she took a seat on her bed and stared at the poster of her father.
It was then when Kirishima spoke up. "Look, (F/N)-chan, I don't exactly know what's going through your head right now, but don't worry about it."
She looked up at her cousin with a fond smile. "Yeah. I got it." She said nodding. "Now tell me about your internship."
And with that another conversation appeared, he spoke of Tamaki-senpai and Fatgum and how they stopped a robbery and so on. But she paid very little attention to that, all she could do was smile and nod as she saw his own eyes light up at each remembrance of the events. She was too focused on how she could keep his smile from fading, how she could protect them all. But most importantly. She thought of how it tore her up inside to keep her secrets from the one person she trusted most in this world.
Because she had not been there for him when he questioned his ability to become a hero. But when she finally called him, a month before the entrance exam, she told him one thing.
"I know you'll be an amazing hero. Don't worry about it. I'm not worried about you."

A/N: O o f , this is not as Bakugo based as I thought...but don't worry it will be soon (someday).
