Y/N looked at the new apartment she was moving into.

After what she learned Ian did, she confided in her parents.

With their advise and support, Y/N decided enough was enough. She not only decided to cut ties with Ian she also decided to move out of their shared apartment.

Not only that, when Carol, or lazy wench that Y/N's mom would call her, called her, Y/N not only blocked her, she actually went over to her boss and gave him her name tag as she decided to quit.

She was able to save enough money to find another place, and it was nicer despite the rent of 950 a month.

She was singing to herself as she was getting her stuff in.

Then she was halted by another woman.

"Excuse me, do you sing miss?" She asked.

"Sometimes. My shower head is very impressed with me."

"Well, I'm the manager of Sunset Beach Lounge. It's a large rustic nightclub. We've been needing a new headliner singer as the last one decided to go into movies. Could you give us an audition?"

Y/N thought of this......"Is it volunteer work?"

"Ah, no. We pay good. A singer there can earn up to $550 per song."

$550?! Calculating that with how many songs a cabaret singer does per night......

It would more than enough to pay for her amenities and such...!

".........When do I start?"

"Great! Come in tomorrow at 1pm for your audition. If you come by earlier, we'll provide lunch!" The manager smiled.

Y/N came by the next day for lunch, and after some marinated chicken, she got herself ready.

The dressers provided her a ruby red dress that accented her curves accompanied with black gloves.

Steeling her courage, she began to sing...

"Brilliant! Y/N, you're hired! You start tomorrow at 7pm!" The manager said.

"Thank you!"

The next two weeks went by for Y/N. Not only did she get her own private dressing room and lounge, she was a big hit at the Sunset Rose.

She would give some throwback versions of various songs to keep the crowd going, performed for 2 shows, as the nightclub was open 7pm to 2am. She'd have to come in before 5pm to prepare for the shows, but it was worth it.

By the time her first two weeks were over, she had received a fat paycheck.......

2 shows...
A full cabaret performance with 16 songs...
Over 2 weeks...
With days off per week...

"$176,000?! I'm sooooooo glad I quit my old job!" Y/N smiled to herself.

Another two months had passed since that day.

Y/N was currently at her new studio apartment as it was her day off, and she was getting some breakfast as she thought about what to do.

She figured it wouldn't hurt to go over to the store and get some stuff. She was starting to run low on a few things.
