Addie POV 1 week later

I was finally allowed to go home today. For the last week, Abby has visited me every day, making my stay more comfortable. She's making me smile.
I was so happy to be at home. I ran upstairs to go visit Jerry.
Oh, right.
"Addie! We have a surprise for you!" Mom called.
I quickly ran back downstairs and saw a cage. How do do not notice it before?
"Look inside." Abby whispered.
I got on my knees and peered into the cage.
Jerry!! It was Jerry!! I could cry, I'm so happy to see Jerry again! Wait...
"What happened to his leg?" I wondered aloud.
"Well, it's time we told you the whole story.
You were hiding from me I think. Then, Jerry was in the street, trim to et to our house.A car didn't see Jerry, and almost hit him but you jumped in the way and you saved Jerry's life. You landed on his leg, but the car hit you. Addie, your a hero." Mom explained.
I blushed.
I opened the cage and let Jerry out. He slowly walked out and then he trotted over to me.
I gave him a big hug.
Then, Abby strolled over.
"I'm sorry I turned you in." she said to Jerry. He barked at her in response.
Everyone laughed.
I remember when the sister wars had began...
*Flashback*
Jerry is a dog. I found him one day running in the streets so I took him home with me when I was getting groceries. I just have no clue what I will do when Mom and Dad get back... or if Abby finds him in my closet.
I found a note from Abby, that was slid under my door, and I can tell she was working on her handwriting. Maybe trying to make her seem smarter.

Addie,
I'm so sorry. I had to, after what you did to me. I know we are complete opposites. You are like the darkness to my sunshine.

That's actually a very sweet note. And I like that. Darkness to my sunshine. I love that. But there aren't even words for how mad I am. No words. At. All. Plus, doesn't darkness sometimes mean evil, even though I'm the good one in this situation? You know what, I'm over thinking it. Plus, Abby is too dumb to have thought of it that way. I wish I could help her in school, but I'm not going to do that in her sleep.
It makes me so mad. She thinks she better than me just because she's more popular than I am. I wish someone would understand me. Like Jerry.

I wonder if Abby read my journal. She probably did. Good. All I am in this is plain innocent but every girl has her own evil in her.
All I hope is that she doesn't find out about Jerry. At least he's very quiet and loves my closet. I just hates when he uses the bathroom in there... cleaning it up is a pain.
You know what's sad? My best friend is a freaking dog.

Well, now my best friend is my sister because she is the sunshine to my darkness and nothing can ever change that about us.
