the rules are simple, many are general common knowledge and common curtesy. I will have a second list that are my own terms of service, those you will need to know to be able to adopt and interact with this book. 

if you are caught breaking these rules or refuse to comply with my TOS, I have the rights to free you of the ownership of any characters you may have obtained from me, and blacklist you from adopting anymore characters from me. if you continue to cause trouble, I will not refrain from blocking you and reporting any disruptive behaviour.

general rules:

- do not steal or claim characters or designs from this book that you do not own or have not yet been given ownership of.

- do not beg or use pity tactics to try and gain the ownership of a character over someone else. those sorts of 'tactics' will only decrease your chances of receiving an adopt.

- do not reference a design or artwork featured in this book without gaining explicit permission from myself. some lineart featured in this book may be lines that I have gained permission to use, and I may direct you to the artist if you wish to use the art in anyway. you cannot anything featured here without permission from owners.

- lineart and artworks not done by myself will be credited in the description/ page of the character. do not accuse me or  another user who reposts my characters of art theft, as every artwork not my own will be credited and has permission of use. to anyone who wishes to repost a character, they must credit the artist, names will be in the descriptions as I will have already credited, if there is no crediting, the artwork is my own work. all character designs are done by myself unless specified otherwise

- do not trade or resell characters for more than what you had received them for, if you no longer want the character, feel free to donate them back to me, but if you wish to resell, a character that was received free cannot be sold for money or art, although you can trade them for another character. an adopt you received for a certain sum of money can be traded for anything other than a sum of money higher than the sum you had payed to receive them. this applies to ALL characters, and only changes when you have artworks of the character.

- do not harass or bully other users or myself if you didn't get a character or really want a character

- do not spam my comments or messages over characters. I will ignore or block you.

- do not put comments saying you have no money or are broke but would really like the character for adopts that cost money to receive. you will not receive the character through this method, and will risk you being blacklisted from receiving other characters. there will always be a collection of adopts that are free or require a simple name or bio to get them, so if cant pay for a specific adopt there is most likely other adopts you can get.

- you may change the characters design slightly, but do not make them unrecognizable or change the species,  do not  claim the design is your own after making a small change. species changes can be made if you ask me before or after adopting them. 

TOS:

 - I reserve the rights to take back a character if I believe you have disregarded my rules or used the character in an incorrect manner

- characters that have been preowned come with special requirements that will be written in the description of the character. these characters may come with extra art that must be credited to the owner, the design may have elements that need to change or names to be changed. 

- all trades must have your end completed before you gain ownership and full use of the character. 

- older adopts that have an ugly watermark can be requested to be redrawn for free, but I wont do it automatically and will only do it upon request.

- I will have some pages that are requests, which will be a chance for you to make free art requests of any character you own. these a way of me giving you guys a chance to receive free art without me having to make a whole book about it lol

- I am not always fcfs, so just because you were quick to offer on a trade, doesn't necessarily mean your definitely going to get the character unless the adopt is a fcfs adopt or a money trade adopt

- money base adopts will be done through paypal, all prices are USD only. I will not take trades or claims for a character that is given a set price or money based bid. 

- trades can be anything, from art, characters, stickers pins or even custom plushes. whatever your willing to trade, you can make an offer with it. some trade based characters will have a list of what I'm particularly looking for, you don't have to offer those items, and can still offer other things, they're just a guide to what may be more likely to be accepted over other offers. if there is a list of items I DONT want, it means I won't particularly consider your trade if that's what your offering, there may be reasons for why I don't want those particular items, but if there is a list of items I don't want don't bother offering them, your trade will more then likely be overlooked.
