hello! and welcome to sunset's adopts, a book that was created as a sort of "blast from the past" and a recognition to my starting out on the internet. i started out on here, wattpad, creating  adopts for you guys and i absolutely loved it, it was my introduction to the community and to the wide world that is opened up to us in this day and age through the online world. 

i learnt many things in that time period, but unfortunately there came a time where my production of adoptable characters ceased, and as did my activity here on wattpad die away.

but through this book, i give a nod of recognition to that time in my life, and the joy it brought me to create something for you guys to enjoy, and so i have decided to recreate my adopt books! which were a series, but depending on the success of this one, there may or may not be a second or third book.

legend

a small list of information that will be written in the page of each adopt or adopt set, for each character. it is important you read these, as they will let you know information on the character and how you can claim or trade for them.

name: 

the name is optional, if a character is given a name, you can decide to keep or change it once you have ownership of the character. the name is usually just there so it is easier to communicate which character you want in the comments, especially if it is a set or large group of adopts to one page. if a character is given a name, please use the name when asking for or about them, rather than giving a vague description of them. if they're marked n/a or N/A it simply means they have not been given a name. I will generally do this for single adopts, so there is no need to try and describe a specific character out of a set.

species:

the species of the character cannot be changed unless you have asked me prior to adopting them. many of the characters are designed based on a specific animal and it can sometimes take away from the character to switch the species up. ofc, you have full ownership of the character, but like changing the design to unrecognizable, changing the species may also make it a completely different character. 

gender:

the gender can be changed, an is simply there for the sake of being there. some characters that have been my own and are being traded off or resold will have a gender based on the gender or non-gender I had used them as previously, these characters will be marked with *preowned* and may have specific requirements and adjustments you will need to make after adopting, or have a collection of other art works or images of them that you will receive after adopting.

availability: 

availability will either say closed, open or on hold. an open availability means they're still up for adopt, and you can still ask to claim them. a character that in on hold simply means they have been claimed, but the trade has not been completed, so the adopt is on hold until the completion of the trade. closed adopts have already been claimed and are owned by another user. please do not bug another user to trade the character If you missed out on it, its fine if you ask once, and the user either accepts or declines to trade them, but  do not continually ask them, bug them, blackmail them or harass them. they don't have to give you anything, you are not entitled to have that character.

option:

ota: offer to adopt (I may make a list of what you can offer)

bta: bio to adopt. you will need to write a bio for them of which I will choose the best or most interesting

fcfs: you can claim it for free, the first person who asks for them keeps them

pta: pay to adopt. a price will be noted. will not go for anything else, payments must be paypal USD 

nta: name to adopt. give them a name, best name keeps them

raffle: in comments you will be given a number, which will go into a draw to win the character. you will be notified in direct/private message if you won.
