Someone asked me if this story had followed endgame exactly and then continued with canon MCU, where Scottie would have been in recent projects etc!

So I thought I'd let you know where I would have wrote her in, had I not given Wanda and Scottie the happy ending they deserved.  Be warned: it is a lot of angst and not much happiness.

The previous chapter (epilogue) will always be the official ending to this story, and this chapter doesn't not seek to replace that. Rather, it just suggests my thoughts of what Scottie and Wanda would have been throughout the MCU releases since I finished this book.

WandaVision:
- Assuming Natasha had stayed dead in Endgame, I think this would have caused a rift between Scottie and Wanda after everyone was returned. Scottie had just lost Tony and Natasha in less than 24 hours and we all know how self-destructive she'd been previously in the story. Sure, they would have worked it out eventually but with Wanda feeling like she had lost everyone (her parents, Pietro, Vision, Natasha...) I think she would have still created the Hex.

- Instead of a house Vision bought for them, it would have been a house due to be built on a plot of land Scottie and Tony had picked out prior to Civil War before everything fell apart for them. Scottie had begun to renovate the foundations before she lost hope of everyone returning from the blip.

- Scottie would have headed to Westview just as Wanda created the hex, meaning that she was trapped in "WandaVision" alongside the created version of Vision.

- Billy and Tommy would have been Scottie and Wanda's kids - not hers and Vision's, although Vision would have been their live-in uncle.

- Like Vision, Scottie wouldn't have been aware of reality until later in the series.

- Things would mostly have played out the same as in the show, especially with Wanda releasing the citizens of Westview and leaving the town.

- I feel that Wanda would have been so guilty at holding Scottie against her will and taking away her from Pepper, Happy and Morgan during their grieving for Tony that she would have headed into the mountains and not told Scottie where she was going.

- Scottie would return to New York to continue to help out Pepper and Happy, knowing that whenever Wanda was ready to see her, they'd be reunited.

- Wanda would begin studying the darkhold, the book corrupting her into thinking that she could get her and Scottie's children back - which Wanda believed would bring Scottie back to her too.

SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME
- Wanda wouldn't have any involvement, but as Scottie has always been close to Happy I think she'd have tried to help Peter and Dr Strange out.

- I don't think she would have been present during the battles, but rather would have been upstate with Pepper instead. I do think she would have been present when Strange attempted the spell for the first time (when Peter interfered), and that caused her to return to Pepper and Morgan to make sure they were safe.

- Had this been the movie, I would picture a post-credit scene of Scottie going into the kitchen and noticing the picture of Tony and Peter. Instead of the clear photo Tony stared at in Endgame, Peter's face would have been obstructed by a lens flare that hadn't been there before.

- Scottie would mutter "son of a bitch" as she looked at the photo, leaving readers/viewers wondering what she did or didn't remember.

HAWKEYE:
- Scottie would have made a cameo or two in Hawkeye. She'd be much less happier than usual and a lot more cynical - telling Clint that she wasted five years of her life trying to get Wanda back and instead all it had done was leave her without her love, Tony and Natasha.

- She'd have met Yelena, maybe been attacked by the girl before Yelena decided to turn her attacks towards killing Clint instead.

- Scottie would have visited Clint's family for the holidays, meeting Kate and Lucky the Pizza Dog. She'd have spent half her time over Christmas and New Year with Clint's family, and the other half with Pepper and Morgan.

- As an extra, I think just before leaving NYC for Christmas, Scottie would have slid a card under the door of a newly rented apartment in the city, a subtle reminder to a friend that everything would be okay.

MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS:
- It would not have been enjoyable.
- I'd love to say I envisioned Scottie and Wanda getting back together during this movie, but I can't see it happening. Scottie would find herself in a constant inner battle of wanting to stop Wanda but not wanting to hurt her.

- Wanda, corrupted by the darkhold, would believe that everything she was doing was for Scottie and their family. Unable to see that her actions were pushing Scottie away from her.

- Scottie would take America under her wing, almost like a younger sister - the same way she later would do for Kate, Yelena and Morgan. Wanda wouldn't understand this, and would see it as betraying Billy and Tommy.

- Scottie believes deep down that Wanda can be redeemed, although Dr Strange doesn't think so and tells her she should be prepared to kill Wanda.

- Eventually, Scottie would manage to stop Wanda from killing America to gain her power, and instead convincing her that knowing Billy and Tommy were safe with other variants of themselves would be enough for them.

- Wanda would get a slight redemption here, destroying all of the dark holds across all dimensions to prevent the corruption from happening to anyone else.

- Scottie would have been with America, Wong and Wanda on the mountain and refuses to leave without Wanda. Wanda would have told her that she doesn't deserve to be loved after everyone she had killed trying to get to America, but Scottie would have told her that she'd one day make up for it (even if the others didn't believe she could.)

- "You've got red in your ledger, so did I. So did Natasha. But you're not a bad person Wanda, and I love you and I need you."

- Wanda would have begged America and Wong to take Scottie away, the duo both doing so as the blonde tried to struggle out of their grasps. Wong, being the sorcerer supreme, would have managed to block Scottie's powers from hurting them.

- Scottie would have watched as the mountain collapsed, Wanda along with it.

- While I wouldn't see Scottie or Wanda being in any of the other released MCU projects since, I certainly hope things would work out for them in the end. That being said, I could also envision a Scottie-villain arc after losing Tony, Natasha and now Wanda (although I doubt she's really dead).

- An end-credit scene would have shown Scottie in a NYC coffee shop, raining heavily outside the window as she drummed her fingers along the wooden table. She'd have watched the boy walk in, having became a regular at the shop over the past few months.

- He'd have gotten his coffee, his first name called out by the barista and he'd have taken it with a small thank you and a smile.

- "Parker, by the way."

- "Excuse me?" MJ would have asked Scottie, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

- "His name, incase you want to drop him a message."

- She'd have smirked, stepping outside and noticing the boy binning the coffee almost immediately. Some things didn't change. He'd have turned right, about to head down a tight alleyway and she'd have followed him in.

- "Spidey-kid!" Scottie would have yelled out as he turned into the alleyway, watching as the boy froze up and then turned around as if he was looking up for the mysterious hero.

- "You must be stupid to think I'd forget you," Scottie would have told him, walking over and placing both hands on his shoulders.

- Peter would have cried. He had no one - but now, now he had Scottie. He didn't care how (although she'd later explain that she assumed it was to do with the soul stone's connection with her and her powers since Vormir) and she didn't care that he had tried to make her forget him.

- They just knew one thing - they had each other. Tony Stark's adopted children, a whole lot of problems and a ridiculous amount of inheritance money. What could go wrong?

I'll maybe update this in the future with my thoughts on how other MCU titles would have interacted with this story, but I just thought I'd give this MCU-canon alternative ending to this story!
