Wynter grunts and coos as she eats. It's one of the many things Seonghwa absolutely adored about his baby girl. Seonghwa brushes a finger down her soft pink cheek as she eats, her little eyebrows furrow as her eyes slip close.

She's so expressive with her face at only two and a half months old, you can almost tell what she's thinking or feeling. When they first started getting her to take a bottle she hated it, and refused to eat unless it was Wooyoung. Finally one day she took the bottle and realized it was still her mommy's milk before she took it with a huff. She still prefers to feed from Wooyoung, but when the bottle is offered she'll take it.

She loved to eat, loves baths, and especially loves it when Wooyoung feeds her. She's a mommy's girl for sure, but that doesn't stop the smiles and giggles he gets occasionally when Seonghwa holds her to feed her or play with her.

"Hey," Hongjoong knocks on the door and enters the room, smiling down at the sleepy girl while she feeds from a bottle, "How is everything?"

"Good," Seonghwa hums, "Patrol went smoothly, no trace of any new activity."

"Good," Hongjoong sits on the bed and watches as Seonghwa removes the bottle and begins to burp the baby, "I've been doing a lot of thinking here lately..."

"Oh?" Seonghwa arches his eyebrow, his heart racing a little, "What was that?"

"And I've talked to Jongho and Mingi as well as my mate," Hongjoong nods, "We want you to join the pack."

Seonghwa's eyebrows raise and he halts his patting on Wynter's back. The little girl huffs before bringing a fist to her face and rubbing it against her nose before grunting adorably. Seonghwa pats her back again to get a burp out of her, "I appreciate it.... and Wooyoung?"

Hongjoong takes in a deep breath, "Me and Yeosang were discussing that last night-"

"If I'm allowed to join, he should be as well," Seonghwa locks his eyes with the head Alpha, "I am not leaving him alone out there. I am his alpha, his protector, the father to his daughter. He is mine. Not to mention little Wynter. What is she going to do when her mommy is gone?"

"It's nothing against him-"

"Well it sure fucking sounds like it," Seonghwa growls, his eyes flashing red.

Before Hongjoong could reply, they hear a bone chilling scream from outside and both of their faces pale as it cuts through the air, "IRYS!!!!"

Hongjoong immediately springs into action, as well as Seonghwa. The alpha sets Wynter in her crib and takes off running. He stops suddenly when he feels icy in his senses and his chest felt as if he was suffocating.

Wooyoung.

He darts forward, pushing his legs quicker and out running Hongjoong as he makes it there to see Yeosang sobbing and holding on to a crying Irys. Hongjoong brings his family in his arms, Seonghwa looks around for Wooyoung. The two toddlers were staring at the lake and when Seonghwa turns, his heart drops.

There is a hole in the middle of the lake, and he doesn't hesitate to get on the ice and slide across the surface to the hole.

"Seonghwa!" Hongjoong yells at the alpha, Seonghwa doesn't hear him though.

He's more focused on saving his omega.

He doesn't even feel the cold water rushing over him as he plunges down, seeing Wooyoung floating in the water and grabbing him, bringing him to the surface as quickly as he can. When he broke surface, he seen everyone at the shore watching with wide eyes as he brings Wooyoung over, the omega unconscious.

Seonghwa feels for a pulse and listens to his breathing, then begins to do cheer compressions. Everything was silent until Wooyoung gasps and turns to the side, throwing up the cold water he consumed. Seonghwa immediately brings him in his arms, holding him close as he begins to warm up the omega, "It's okay, you're safe now."

"I...rys," the Omega whimpers, shivering uncontrollably.

"She's okay," Seonghwa gives him a tense smile. But they weren't in the clear yet. He stands and begins to race Wooyoung to the house. He heard people talking to him, and didn't pay no mind to them, but the moment arms tried to touch Wooyoung he snarls, "No."

He continues to carry Wooyoung to the house, racing inside to get him in the bathroom and in a bath. He heard someone say they would draw one for him. Wooyoung continues to shiver, huddling close to Seonghwa for warmth while the alpha strips them of their clothing. Once they were ready, Seonghwa lowers them both in the tub and begins to rubs Wooyoung's arms and body to warm him up.

It was quiet after a moment, everyone giving the two space as Seonghwa worked to get Wooyoung warm. When Wooyoung finally quit shaking and when his skin was warm, Seonghwa sighs, "Do you feel better?"

"Yes," Wooyoung blushes, looking up at Seonghwa, "Thank you."

There was more silence that followed and Seonghwa eventually gets them out when the water started getting just a tad bit cold. He dresses Wooyoung in a heavy sweater and sweatpants, then the omega whimpers, "I want my baby."

"I'll bring her-"

The door opens barely and Hongjoong peeks in, coming in when he sees both are decent and closing the door behind him, "How are you feeling Wooyoung?"

"I'm warmer than I was," Wooyoung chuckles nervously, biting his lip, "Sorry I worried you all."

Hongjoong snorts, "You worried us yes, but I'm not angry Wooyoung."

"You're not?" Wooyoung asks in shock, and Seonghwa crawls in bed with the omega to cuddle up with him and warm him some more.

"I'm actually very appreciative of you," Hongjoong nods, taking a deep breath before he looks up at the two of them, "You saved my baby girl. If she would've fell through that ice... she would've been gone."

Wooyoung nods, Seonghwa nuzzles his mark as Wooyoung spoke softly, "You would do the same for me with Wynter."

Hongjoong nods, smiling, "Yes I will. Because from here on out both of you are members of this pack. If you still want to be." Seonghwa was getting ready to say something but Hongjoong held a hand up, "You both have proven to me that you're willing to be apart of this pack. Seonghwa, your hunting has been excellent and your activeness with us all has proven to me you're ready. As for Wooyoung, I wasn't sure if you were. To be fairly honest, I was about to tell Seonghwa today that I wasn't going to accept you mostly because you kept to yourself, and although you shown your worth, you didn't care much for the pack... but after what you did for my daughter...."

Seonghwa wraps his arms tighter around Wooyoung and the omega nods, "I accept if Seonghwa will."

Seonghwa looks down to him and Wooyoung looked back up at him, their eyes lock with one another and Wooyoung smiles. Seonghwa smiles back looking back at Hongjoong and nodding, "I accept as well."

"Well in that case," Hongjoong chuckles and holds out his hand, him and Seonghwa link arms and the pack bond slams into the three of them. Hongjoong smirks at Seonghwa with red eyes, Seonghwa's and Wooyoung's were glowing as well as the head alpha spoke, "Welcome to the pack."
