Chapter II

"I'm so sorry!" I bowed down along with pushing down the head of the guy who squished his face against the window. "If there is any way we can pay for it..."

"You can pay the price of the drinks plus the price of the cups, coming down to 50 dollars." The shop owner stood in front of us with crossed arms. He was a pretty scary man with his mustache and somewhat balding hair. He reminded me of a Yakuza boss just without tattoos running down his arms.

"Of course..." I agreed, slightly dying inside. I knew that that money would be out of my monthly allowance meaning that I would be losing the number of times I would be able to go to another cute shop with Iris. The sensation of tears slowly welled up inside of me. A small tear fell down my cheek as I handed the old man a fifty-dollar bill.

"Sorry, sis..." The boy fumbled his phone in his hand as he looked slightly up at me.

"Kai, you idiot!" I socked his head before leaving the coffee shop with Iris.

"Ow!" He exclaimed, following us behind as he rubbed his head. "If I knew you were going to scream just because I was looking at you through the window, I wouldn't have done it."

"Any normal person wouldn't have! What goes on in that mind of yours?" I turned around and gave him a nice good flick as his last punishment.

"Ow...You're so mean. I have an abuser for a twin sister." He cried, letting Iris know just how bad of a sister I was.

"Watch it. You know if I had the chance, I would disown you." I hit the final blow. It wasn't true that I would actually disown him. Kai and I grew up together, and we were like a bandaid stuck to an arm. He was my twin after all.

"Hey, hey!" Kai got too close to me. I was tempted to elbow him, but he received enough hits for today. "I need some help."

"With what?" I moved my face away from his. Whenever he wanted me to do a favor for him, it was always his way to put his face near my ear and act all nice.

"You see, our guitarist recently left, and I was wondering..." He smiled, but I already knew what he wanted.

"No," I answered abruptly.

"Huh?" He whimpered. "But why?"

"I haven't played the guitar in a long time! And if I join your band, I won't have time to go out with Iris as much as I want to." I grabbed Iris's arm and hugged her. Joining his band was the last thing I wanted. Plus, they do shows at night. I hated the spotlight.

"But didn't you already spend this month's allowance?" He grinned sinisterly at me. I squinted my eyes and released Iris, moving closer to him. "Wait...I didn't mean..." He started to back away.

I grabbed his collar and lifted him off the ground a bit, which I was thankful he hadn't reached a growth spurt yet where I wouldn't be able to do this. "Huh? So you wanted to start a fight, isn't that right? Come on. Say it again."

"Waaah! I'm being bullied by my twin sister!" He cried.

"Wait, Maple." Iris rested her hand on my shoulder, trying to calm me down so there wouldn't be any broken teeth or blood painting the ground. "I don't think it's that bad of an idea. In fact, this might be good for you."

"What do you mean?" I released Kai's collar, looking at Iris.

"Well, you learned how to play the guitar from your older brother, right? I think it would be a great chance to relearn it again. And..." Iris then pulled me closer to her, where her mouth reached my ear. She then whispered, "You might find a boyfriend. You never know."

She then looked at me and smiled. My face became as bright as a tomato, to which I hid it with my hands. I then turned to Kai and came up with my answer. "So when and where do you guys meet?"

Kai's smile became somewhat bigger after hearing my answer, which filled me with irritation and the urge to slap it off of his face.

"Don't worry. We are meeting today. Jax and Gray can tell you all of the details when we get there." Kai grabbed my arm and started guiding me there. I let out a deep sigh which Iris laughed at. She was the one who persuaded me, and I slightly regretted it a bit accepting that persuasion.

The breeze that sent the cherry blossoms through the air felt like a sign that it might have been good that I actually chose to go. I wondered if there were any hot guys in the group. I never met them, so it was a first.

We finally arrived at the place where they seemed to have practiced. It was a run-down shed in the back of the school where Iris, Kai, and I went. That meant that the other band players must have been from the same school. I began to wonder if I could have possibly seen them before. I never knew there was an actual band. (I never trusted my brother with these types of things.)

Kai slowly opened the door as my heart began beating out of anticipation. Were the boys hot?

The door swung open and the only person I saw inside was the music teacher. He was an older man and not good-looking at all. I had forgotten if he ever got married. He usually would tell students stories, but those stories all mashed together for me. It was possible that he found a unicorn wife that he married in Paris, France.

"Oh, Kai. You made it early. Gray and Jax aren't here yet." He smiled. His smile scrunched up his face, causing wrinkles to form all over his face. It wasn't a pretty sight.

"Tsk," I grunted. I reason I came wasn't here, then what was the point.

The music teacher then stopped smiling and looked at me. "Oh? Who is this? Maple? I didn't expect you to come."

"Ah, yeah..." I blushed from embarrassment. He most likely heard that "tsk."

"I am here too, Mr. Lemon," Iris informed him, where he nodded his head in response.

"Yes. Now, what instruments are you girls playing?" He asked both of us.

"Ah, I'm not playing anything." Iris put her hand on her chest and shook her head. She then looked at me. She grabbed my shoulders and placed me in front of her. "She has volunteered for guitar, however."

Mr. Lemon looked at me and then nodded his head. "I see. Then right this way. I have a group of guitars you can choose from."

I follow him to the corner and find myself looking at a group of guitars ranging from pink, yellow, and blue. They were pretty, but I needed to find one that I was able to carry and play.

As I was looking, suddenly the door opened again, and I heard the voice of a man, not an older one, but a younger one.

"I'm home! Oh? What's this?" I heard him say. I didn't want to turn around or say anything. I knew if I did that, I might not have been focused enough to choose the guitar. I needed to practice self-restraint at least.

As I was closing my eyes and thinking how I might pretend to act girly towards the guy who was behind me, I suddenly felt a bit of a draft. Not on my face or arms, but near my butt area. I turned my head a bit and then noticed a hand lifting up my skirt.

"Wow, who knew girls still wore pink panties. I was expecting a red thong or something." He said, to which I flinched and moved away from him.

I then covered my skirt with my hand and blushed a bright red.

"Jax! Why did you lift my sister's skirt? That's weird." I heard Kai yell. I was just as shocked. Did guys still do that? I thought only perverts did that.

"Sorry, sorry. When I see a cute girl, I just have to check to see what panty she wears." The guy laughed it off.

I slowly lifted up my face to see who the person that lifted my skirt was. And to my surprise, I saw that pale white skin that was complemented with slightly long cut blond hair.

"You?" I blurted out from shock. I couldn't believe it. That boy I fell for at first sight was a pervert. A big pervert that loved to lift girl's skirts.
