"Come on Lionpaw! Let's go!" Squirrelpaw squeaked, racing into the forest. Lionpaw raced after his sister, his tail high in the air.

Sunflywing and Applestripe followed behind the two apprentices. Applestripe decided to take the two apprentices out on an early hunt. However much Sunflywing wanted to say no, Lionpaw begged her into going.

Willowpaw, Lionpaw's and Squirrelpaw's sister, was out collecting herbs for Goldenleaf. Today, the whole camp was working together to fix the camp. Sunflywing watched the two apprentices, flicking her ear with a grim face.

Applestripe looked at Sunflywing "Don't get too excited, Sunflywing." he teased, flicking his tail in amusement. Sunflywing let out a low growl, staring up at Applestripe. He chuckled, speeding up to catch up to Squirrelpaw.

Lionpaw slowed down, walking beside Sunflywing. She lifted her head up, staring down at Lionpaw "You excited?" she asked. Lionpaw looked up at her, nodding eagerly "You've never let me hangout with any of the other apprentices."

"That's why you're excited?" Sunflywing asked. Lionpaw giggled. Sunflywing rolled her eyes, letting out a sigh. Lionpaw raced forward, pouncing on top of Squirrelpaw. The two of them giggled, wrestling together.

Sunflywing heard a twig snap, and she froze, crouching down. Applestripe stopped a few mouse-lengths away from her, Squirrelpaw and Lionpaw looking up from their play fight "What is it?" Applestripe asked silently.

She shot an angry glare at him. She crept forward, pushing aside the grass as she moved. She kept her ears pricked, her paws making no sound. She picked up a small trace of mice. It was alone.

She finally saw the small brown creature nibbling on a seed. She paused, lowering her tail behind her. She shifted her weight, getting ready to leap. She licked her chops, and, with powerful hind legs, leaped.

The creature was too late to escape from Sunflywing's claws and was squished under her weight. She bit its neck so it didn't try to alert the other prey in the area. She picked it up, glaring back over her shoulder.

"Woah, that was great!" Squirrelpaw chirped. Sunflywing let out a little scuff, hoping Squirrelpaw or the others didn't hear it. She set down the prey in front of the other cats, flicking the tip of her tail.

"Where are you gonna bury it?" Applestripe asked, tilting his head. She turned to a tree that was nearby and she padded over to it. She began to dig, finally making a big enough hole to fit the mouse.

She plopped it in, slowly putting dirt back over it. She padded back over to the others, waiting for them to continue walking. Finally, they moved on, heading deeper into CedarClan territory. They had caught a few things along the way.

Lionpaw had successfully caught a shrew while Applestripe and Squirrelpaw took down a rabbit together. Sunflywing had helped Lionpaw catch a group of crows, Squirrelpaw and Applestripe offering to help.

In the end, they had all caught something for their Clan. Sunflywing led them back to camp, her body filled with joy. Lionpaw and Squirrelpaw followed close behind, the two nudging each other playfully.

Applestripe took the rear, his catch of prey in his mouth. Sunflywing dug up some of her prey along the way. As she was picking up another piece of her prey, she heard a twig snap. She paused, lifting her head up.

"What was that?" Squirrelpaw asked, seeming to hear the twig snap too. Sunflywing looked around, dropping some of her prey to go investigate. She peered through the trees, the air smelling different.

Her eyes widened as she recognized the scent "PondClan." she murmured, not looking back at the others "What?" Applestripe asked, barely able to hear what she had said "PondClan. PondClan! They're here-"

She was cut off by a cat tackling her down. Applestripe was soon tackled just after her, with Squirrelpaw and Lionpaw being cornered. Sunflywing glared up at her attacker, recognizing the cats scent.

"Well, well, well, fancy seeing you here," the PondClan warrior growled "Brambleshade." Sunflywing hissed the warrior's name. The brown tabby glared down at her with narrowed yellow eyes.

"Heh, good, you remember me," he sneered, flicking his tail "Of course I do. I remember every cat in every Clan," Sunflywing snapped "Oh, is that a lie I hear?" Brambleshade growled, an evil smirk on his face.

Sunflywing let out a hiss and kicked Brambleshade off of her. He let out a hiss, but quickly got to his paws. Sunflywing let out a yowl, ordering the patrol to fight. Sunflywing leaped at Brambleshade, her claws unsheathed.

Applestripe swiped at a white and brown tabby she-cat that was named Snowbranch and leaped at her. Lionpaw and Squirrelpaw each swiped at one warrior, their faces full of fury. Sunflywing pinned him down, slashing her claws at his face.

But she was kicked off by the tabby, forcing her to the ground. She quickly got up and was able to dodge Brambleshade's leap. She bit his tail, pulling him towards her. Brambleshade let out a hiss and swiped at Sunflywing's eyes.

She let out a furious yowl when his claw raked her eye. She staggered back, trying to clean the blood from her face. Brambleshade tackled her down and bit into her shoulder. She let out a yowl of pain and struggled to get free.

"Brambleshade! Let's just grab the prey and go!" A golden-brown tabby tom named Brackenstem hissed, kicking Squirrelpaw off and getting to his paws. Brambleshade let go of Sunflywing's shoulder and glared back at Brackenstem.

The prey! They were after the prey the whole time! She thought, quickly kicking Brambleshade off and running towards the prey she'd left. But she was tackled down by Bluefall. Brambleshade let out a scuff.

"Nice try, Sunflywing. But you'll never be able to get your precious prey back." he hissed, picking up her prey. He yowled to his warriors, each of them picking up their prey and running away. Sunflywing struggled to get to her paws.

Applestripe let out a hiss, baring his teeth at them as they left. Lionpaw and Squirrelpaw were panting hard, their pelts ruffled. Applestripe came over to Sunflywing, helping her up "You good?"

Sunflywing let out a grunt as she put pressure on her shoulder "I'm fine. My shoulder's just sore," she responded, licking the wound "Careful! You might get it infected!" Squirrelpaw squeaked, racing over to Sunflywing.

She looked down at the dark ginger apprentice "Since when did you know about that?" she asked, flicking her tail "Did you forget I had a medicine cat for a sister?" Squirrelpaw asked. Sunflywing blinked, shaking her head.

"Good. Now let's head back to camp."
