Fave Genres: Literary fiction. General fiction. All kind of thrillers. Psychological suspense. Fantasy (as long as it doesn't entail magic or magical realms). Sci-Fi. Post-apocalyptic stories and Dystopian stories are also okay.

Won't Read: I won't review romance (if it's the main plot of the story), poetry. I'll most likely not read any book categorised as YA (except if the premise appeals to me).

About Me

My name is Raaina Akorede Aranmolate. I'm Nigerian, Yoruba, and a final year student of Mathematics Education at the Lagos State University.I've been on Wattpad since 2017—or 2018—and I've been reading and writing for almost as long. I only started reviewing books last year when I came across bookclubs, and in that time, I've reviewed close to fifty books on and off Wattpad. The writers whose book I've reviewed will tell you my reviews are detailed, honest, and almost always accurate (because no one is perfect, right? And because I don't just write whatever I like about people's books, I write what I know is right, and try to be as objective as I can be). I hope they'll say my critiques have helped them. I hope you'll say the same, too.P.s: I'm honest, but I have a filter. I won't call you or your books dumb. I won't tell you your characters are so flat they can be used as an hand fan. I won't tell you to go back to kindergarten (or the equivalent of it in your countries) to learn English. I will tell you the truth but won't insult or humiliate you with it. But I will tell you the truth! Keep that in mind.

Review Process

Your book may fall in the category of books I can review, but I'll still skim through it to make sure it's my type. After I've made sure, which means your book has been accepted, I'll comb through a few chapters of it.   I'll focus on:   Title.  Cover (you may or may not mind my opinion here).  Grammar (I used to be a grammar lieutenant, but having been recently humbled by my own grammatical blunders, I've lowered myself to the post of... whatever post is below lieutenant. So I'll be a bit lenient).  Character development.  Plot.  Writing style/description.  And, of course, the small but mighty blurb.  Oh, I also think there'll be scores for each category (I'm not sure I want to follow that route yet), and if there is, I'll add books with the highest scores (still don't know those yet) in a special reading list (I'll be copying this system from another reviewer).   Whatever I write about your book, know that I don't love you (because I don't know you 🤷🏼‍♀️) but I have your and your story's best interest at heart.   Note: Though I won't say things about your book, especially the technical aspect, except those I am absolutely sure I'm right about (I use Google and other resources to verify. I'm a teacher after all, and it's against my code to share false knowledge), you still have to verify from other sources yourself to be certain I'm right.

How Many Chapters

Maximum of five. Minimum of three or one. This depends, largely, on the word count of the chapters.

Payment/Rules

A permanent follow would be nice (anyway, nice or not, it's compulsory 😁).

You must read the first chapter of my book, Jihad and provide constructive criticism.

Please, whatever I say in my review, do not be rude to me. I've only just found out yesterday that I get easily offended, so...But that's not to say you can't speak your mind or ask questions. I'll be happy to listen and attend to you if and when you do.
