Chapter 3
The boys woke up early in order to pack up our stuff at the campsite and David announced the news of him going to America for this school year. Tears were shed, mostly from Felix, and they began to go back home. Tobias had already called his mom to tell her about how he was staying with David until his flight on Sunday afternoon. The brown haired boy wanted to spend as much time as he could with David before he had to leave and he was determined to make David's last day in Lalin the best day of their lives.
Upon arriving at David's house, the two went directly into David's room after putting up their camping supplies. At that point, it was around midday and they still needed to make lunch.
"Tobi, what do you want to eat?" David peeked into the room to see Tobias rummaging through his backpack. "Umm.. wait one second. I had an idea for lunch just let me find something." The blonde haired boy hummed softly and went into the living room to wait for him. After about ten minutes, David wasn't so sure how long he sat on the couch and watched TV for, Tobias came down and grabbed his hand and practically dragged him out the door.
Walking into the café, David didn't expect to be softly attacked by adorable puppies. He smiled a Tobias and found them a table near a window.
"What do you want? I'll order for us." Tobias wrote down what David wanted and left to order while David was trying to get one of the puppies to lay on his lap. He had finally gotten a small white furred toy poodle to sit on his lap when Tobias suddenly put down their food and drinks. This scared the poor puppy and making it run off to the other side of the café. David pouted and lightly slapped Tobias arm, pretending to be angry.
The boy let put a soft chuckle, "I'm sorry, wait right here." He went off to find the same puppy and convinced it to come back with a treat. The couple ended up chatting softly, as to not disturb the puppy that was now asleep on David's lap, and feeding each other. Soon enough, they were finished with their food and it was now phase two of Tobias' plan for the day. They walked peacefully, exchanging kisses and playful teases, until they reached the cinema. They watched weirdly good sci-fi romance which ended up being the exact opposite of what they were expecting. Although the movie didn't matter in the end, it was nice that they did enjoy it.
By the time they were done with the movie, it was dinner time. This time they decided to eat with David's family so he could also spend time with them before he left. The dinner was nice as Tobias watched David bicker with his older sister while David's mom scolded the two. David's dad was trying to engage in a conversation with Tobias but the boy was too invested in the fight between his boyfriend and his boyfriend's sister.
After Tobias kindly helped David's mom do the dishes, the couple headed back up to David's room where the final phase of Tobias' plan would commence. When David opened the door, he was met with a view of his bed decorated with fairy lights hanging all around it and small but cute pillows and stuffed animals piled on top of the bed. The blonde haired boy's eyes lit up as if they were stars as a big smile appeared on his face. To say that he was surprised was an understatement.
"When did you do this?" He asked while taking a seat on the soft pile of pillows and plushies on the bed. "Before we left. Why do you think it took so long?" The brown haired boy joined him. "I specifically set it up near your window so then we could look at the stars. Do you know how hard it was to get the lights to stay up? There's nothing near it for it to rest on. I had to use tape." Tobias admitted shyly but made it sound like a joke near the end even though, he did in fact use tape.
"Thank you." David tried to hold in his tears of joy, "Today was so amazing. It makes me wish I would stay." He smiled sadly at the thought of missing the opportunity of taking out his boyfriend on more wonderful dates. Tobias pulled him into a hug and rubbed small circles into his back to comfort the now sobbing boy.
"It's okay. Please stop crying... You're going to make me cry. Let's just enjoy the time we have left before you have to go tomorrow." Tobias pulled them down so they were now laying on the bed as they cuddled. The rest of the night was David excitedly talking about astronomy and even though Tobias didn't really care for it, he couldn't take the smile off his face.
Everything was going to be okay.
