Lets get into it!

1. What motivated you to start writing your story? Do you enjoy writing or is it more of a chore for you?

Most of my stories come from the ambling thoughts in my brain when it's just wandering in that pensive mode and thinks about anything and everything. I enjoy writing and have been doing it since I was six. I wrote and illustrated my own children's book. It was terrible, of course. I find though that it is not enjoyable when I'm forcing the ideas out. I have to wait until inspiration comes to me and I spend a lot of time re-reading my works to spark ideas, so it takes me a long time to write new material.

2. How did you stumble upon Wattpad ? Have you always known about it?

I was looking up publishing companies online and saw this platform for sharing stories. Since I don't have any completed novels, I couldn't submit any manuscripts so Wattpad was my best choice to get my works out there.

3. Who is your favourite writer on wattpad so far? And which book drew you to them?

Oh that is hands down Rob Thier. His Storm and Silence series is incredible. Apart from writing, I've been an avid reader my whole life and his works are really amazing, comparing to the best I've seen on bookstore shelves. He's incredibly talented.

4. What is your aim for your wattpad career? Anything specific you would like to achieve?

I really just want to create characters that people can relate to. Of course, I'd love to get published but I'm going to keep writing, regardless of the acceptance I receive. I also enjoy giving advice to people who are just starting out their writing career.

5. Tell us something interesting about yourself that your readers may not know!

I love everything about being outdoors, except the mosquitoes. I grew up in the country and like that hard-working lifestyle.

6. How did you choose your wattpad username? Was it challenging or did it just come easily?

I didn't choose one because nothing came to mind, so Wattpad gave me a generic one. I want to change it though.

7. Can you name some accounts that have improved your wattpad experience? Eg: friends you may have met here!

@Royaltyblack made amazing covers for me. @sky_is_limit has several book clubs and reviews that have really helped me understand how readers view my writing. @totorowritesbooks has an amazing story out and is super supportive of anyone who reads her work. These guys are so great at supporting other writers.

8. What is your favourite thing about being on wattpad?

The feedback, definitely. I have to know what others think of my books. Apart from that, it's the interaction with other writers asking for advice on grammar and whatnot. It's really nice we have a community like this where everyone can support each other and lift each other up.

9. How did you decide on the plot and title of your current book? Tell us!

For my romance Gentlemen Only, I have a chapter that actually explains it, but basically, the idea came to me in a song and just blossomed from there. The main character is an over-exaggerated example of mild social anxiety that I dealt with growing up. Readers should check out my chapter for the full details. For my other books, I think the ideas just spawn randomly while my brain is in a certain state of pondering.

10. Is there anything else you would like to say to the audience ?

Support your fellow authors! We are all here to give life to our world through the power of the written word. Read new books, keep up with ones you already read and follow your readers. Join clubs, enter contests, and support everyone else who does as well.
