How It Works

If you're interested in an edit, please read through this whole chapter first.

Here are the steps to get yourself an editor!

-Read through the editor's profiles (found in the chapters after "-Editors-") to choose one that suits you best. We also recommend reading through some of their editing summaries (called "Blooms") that are posted, so you get an idea of what kind of work they do!

-Read the "Flower Garden" chapter to make sure the reviewer has an opening to accept you. If they are currently working on a request, or if they're labeled as on hiatus, they are closed and you cannot request them.

-If the editor you want is unavailable or if all editors are unavailable, and you'd like to wait for someone to open, you can submit to be on the waiting list. This is NOT a guarantee that the editor you want will agree to edit your work. This is just a way to keep you informed of when someone opens up.

-Fill out the form in the "Form" chapter. Be sure to tag the editor you want so they can see it. If you are open to more than one editor, tag both. If you're open to any editor, tag this account and we will set you up with someone who is open and willing to read your story. If you want to be put on the waiting list, please note that instead of tagging an editor.

-Wait for the editor to respond to your request. They will accept or deny it.

-If they accept your request, please proceed to complete their payment. Each editor's payment request is noted in their chapter.

-If they deny your request, we will try to connect you with another acceptable editor.

-If accepted, you must submit your materials to be edited within the next three days. Do not request an edit if you do not have your story ready to submit.

-The editor will communicate with you and work on your edit. Once completed, they will return and submitted materials and a small summary of their work will be posted in this book.

-If you comment on your summary in this book, be sure to tag the editor so they see it! Otherwise they won't know.

Rules

1. You must complete the editor's payment upon acceptance but before they do your edit. You won't receive your edit until you've done your payment.

2. The payment for all edits - follow this account (SunflowerCommunity) and the admin (MicroscopicLlama).

3. Be polite. We all have lives outside of Wattpad, so it may take a while for the editor to accept you and/or to complete your edit. Don't worry, we monitor the forms and also check in with our editor's weekly to keep them from falling behind.

4. You can only fill out a form for your book, and you have to fill out a different form for each book you request.

5. You can request edits for different books at the same time, but you cannot request two edits of the same book.

6. An editor can deny your request at any time for any reason. 

7. If you do not submit your materials for editing within 3 days, your request will be canceled.
