THE HURRIED TIMELINE

2 MONTHS━━━━━━━━

"Clay, I'm pregnant! Do you want takeout today by the way? I'm craving pizza."

"Yeah, that's fine... Wait, did you just say you're pregnant?"

Amber heard Dream's feet pattering against the floor and heard him rush down the stairs. She snorted and went on to the kitchen, taking out her phone to order something, not feeling like cooking today, especially since it was a Friday, too.

"Should I just get pizza, Kai?" Amber looked down at the 2-year-old who let out an enthusiastic "yes", his brown eyes meeting her own. "You said it."

"Did you just say you're pregnant?" Dream breathed out, standing near her. She looked up from her phone and smiled at him, her head moving up and down in response. She eyed her boyfriend out of the corner of her eye, watching as he slowly approached her. "Are you really?"

"Yes, I'm preg—Hi, um, I wanted to order two boxes of pepperoni and cheese pizza."

All Dream could do was stare at her stomach and he eyed the baby crawling into the floor, Kai meeting his uncle's own panicky ones.

"You're having a cousin, Kai. Congrats."

4 MONTHS━━━━━━━━

"Oh, my God, you're pregnant!"

Rae excitedly jumped as she eyed her friend standing in front of her, a long sleeved shirt exposing the bump that was slowly growing enough for everyone to notice.

"I know," Amber excitedly walked towards her to hug her teary-eyed friend who immediately wiped away her tears with her sweater paws. "Don't cry, Rae!"

"I'm just so happy for you," Rae sniffled, a smile spreading on her lips as her arms wrapped themselves around her friend's figure. "Ah, you're gonna be a mom!"

"You are?" They turned around to look at Corpse who had come into Rae's home, a shocked expression on his face as he, too, stared at the bump. "Oh, my God! You fucked Dream?"

"Corpse!" Amber covered her face with her hands, shaking her head as her boyfriend came in, an amused chuckle escaping his lips, having heard Corpse's words.

"That is how babies are made," Dream snorted, standing next to Amber who grabbed Kai out of his arms, and placed him on the floor next to JB. "But, we're gonna be parents. How crazy is that?"

"So crazy," Corpse fist-bumped him.

"Ah, I need to tell Toast and Sykkuno asap!" Rae quickly reached her phone, calling her friends who couldn't make it to the announcement. "Hello? Toast? Hold on, I'm going to add Sykkuno to the the call."

Rae quickly added said man to the call, bubbling with such excitement to be able to tell her other best friends the news.

"I'm gonna put you guys on speaker!" Rae exclaimed, watching as Corpse and Dream took out their phones to record the moment. "Okay, okay, you guys are on speaker now."

"Hello?" Toast called out.

"Hi?" Sykkuno called out next.

"Hi, guys," Amber smiled at Rae's phone, watching her best friend trying to contain her squeal.

"Amber!" Sykkuno gasped. "Hi, Amber."

"Amber!" Toast yelled next. "I'm sorry I couldn't make it to hear your announcement."

"It's okay."

"Talking about announcement," Rae grinned, "I know the announcement, and the announcement is that..."

"I'm pregnant," Amber announced, rubbing her stomach as if she was flaunting it to the two, which she was.

Amber could hear the gasps of her friends over the phone, loud "congrats!" and "no way!" being sent her way. Dream smiled at sensing the positive vibes and placed his hand on the back of his girlfriend's back, watching everything unfold.

"Oh, my God, Amber... Your baby is gonna look like a loaf of bread just like that child when I first met him."

"Oh, God, Corpse..."

7 MONTHS━━━━━━━━

"Ah, you're glowing!"

"Amber, you look so pretty!"

Amber was grinning ear to ear at receiving high praises from her friends and Dream's family members. Their house was filled with a bunch of people, especially from the gaming community that was close to both Amber and Dream. There were only around 4 to 6 cousins Dream liked and his parents and siblings were there, too. As for Amber, her aunt, her cousins Kendall and 'Lani, her younger brother and his boyfriend, were there, too, buzzing with excitement.

"You good?" Dream chuckled, placing his hand on the back of her head, his thumb rubbing it, while he watched her eat some of the food.

"I'm good now," Amber answered before eyeing the pile of presents she and Dream received from their family and friends. "Did you see how much we got? That's so crazy..."

"I was looking at them, too," Dream moved beside her, grabbing a cookie that Tina had made. "God, I can't believe we're gonna have a baby."

"He's very kicky," Amber snorted, watching as Dream placed a hand no her belly to rub the skin of her stomach, though, because she was wearing a dress, he couldn't do much other than rub the fabric. "Oh, Sapnap and George were looking for you."

Dream groaned. "I'll look for them in a bit. I just want to be here with you and my baby. Kai is enjoying himself, by the way."

"I know!" Amber gasped. "Did you see him with Tina and Sydney? He's such a charmer."

"Yeah, he learned best from me."

"Shut up."

YEARS-YEARS LATER━━━━━━━━

"Kai, you're late for practice!"

"I know, Aunt Amber!" Kai yelled back, having been downstairs while Amber was upstairs preparing herself for the day.

It was a Saturday, but Kai was annoyed that his coach told him and his team they had to practice on that day, too. They weren't happy, of course, but the more practice they had, the better they slowly got.

A knock was heard and Alo, Amber and Dream's 14-year-old, stood up and went to open it, eyeing a woman who looked him up and down. Giving her the same attitude, he sighed and plastered a fake smile.

"What can I do for you?" He asked.

"Is Amber here?"

"Mom!" Alo yelled. "Someone is looking for you."

Amber sighed and placed her chapstick on the counter, making sure that her new born was sleeping soundly on the bed. She quickly went downstairs and eyed Kai who was texting on his phone, clearly not phased that he was late. Dream was by the kitchen, making himself sandwich, she could see.

"I'm here," Amber told her son before looking at the person. Her eyes widened and she cleared her throat, "Alani? What are you doing here? And, how did you get passed the guards?"

"I told them that I was your sister and showed them a picture of us," Alani answered. "I wanted to visit you. It's been a long time."

"Come in," Amber sighed, opening the door for her sister to come in. Alani did so and Amber eyed her clothes and her shoes staining the floor that she had made Kai mop. "Take off your shoes."

Alani rolled her eyes and did so, following after her sister who was heading towards the dining table. Dream, having moved there to eat in peace, furrowed his eyebrows once he eyed the other family member.

"What are you doing here?" Amber asked once they both sat down. "And how did you find me?"

"I'm here to see my son," Amber raised her eyebrows at her sister and rolled her eyes, crossing her arms. Dream snorted, shaking his head while he stood up, making sure that Kai wasn't that late to practice.

"The son that you weren't ready to take care of after having told me that you were?" Amber crossed her arms. "Anyway, I'm not giving you money at all if that's what you can here for."

"Mom, Kai won't let me have the last chocolate milk."

Banner eyed the two boys who were appearing intro the kitchen, arguing over the last carton of chocolate milk.

"I should have it."

"No, I should."

"Kai?" The two boys froze in their place, facing the woman who spoke. Kai eyed his mom. "Do you know who I am?"

"Yeah, you're my mom," Kai answered. "Aunt Amber shows me pictures of you, but I don't know why. I honestly don't care."

"Kai," Dream appeared. "Be nice."

"Fine," Kai sighed, turning to look at his mom. "Just like you said you're not ready to have me, I'm not ready to have you. Goodbye."

Kai left the room, Alo watching the moment with wide eyes, followed after his cousin who found the situation amusing, giggles escaping past their lips Amber turned to look at her sister.

"You heard him."
