"Noelani!"

"Amber!"

The cousins hugged and Amber looked at her Aunt who was smiling at her. The girl smiled back and hugged her, too.

"Hey, babes," her aunt, Anela, greeted. "Now, thank you so much for helping her with her project. You know I'm shit at art."

"I know, auntie," Amber chuckled and Noelani snorted, clearly agreeing with her mother's words.

"But, I was talking to Kendall, and they said that you were great at it and that's why I told Noelani we can contact you," Anela continued before her face turned stoic. "Also, fuck Alani. I always disliked that girl ever since she was a baby. I used to always slap her forehead as a toddler which is why your mom stopped letting me come to your house."

Amber snickered. "Only you would. But, are you heading to work?"

"Yep," Anela nodded. "Lemme see that baby first."

Amber softly laughed and moved out of the way so her aunt can see the sleeping baby. Amber was grateful that the baby, Kai, didn't cry as much as many other babies. She had to admit, she was worried, but after confirmation from the doctor that as long as the baby was content, she shouldn't be worried.

"What's his name?" Noelani asked, poking the baby's cheek.

"Kai."

"You named him the most overused name?" Anela asked her niece and Amber snorted. The older woman hummed and smiled at the baby before turning to look at the brunette girl who has her arms crossed. "You did good taking him in."

"You should've taken him in, Mom," Noelani commented.

"Yeah, but I'm barely home, and adding more stress to you when you have a lot of homework is not fair, so," Anela trailed off, shaking her head. She glanced at her watch. "Anyway, I have to go. I'll see you both later and I'll pick you up later. I'll probably bring back some donuts and hot chocolate."

"Please," Amber breathed out.

"Bye!"

Closing the door behind her, Amber and Noelani looked at each other.

"You want to stream?" Amber asked her cousin. "We can have a chill stream in my Alt while we're painting? Only if you're okay, of course."

"Let's do it," Noelani grinned, grabbing her painting supplies and canvas.

They headed towards Amber's room, the girl making sure that Kai was comfortable and sleeping still by her setup. When she saw that the baby was sleeping, she quickly got everything ready as Noelani spread everyone on the desk.

To Amber it was surreal to have family members that didn't hate her. Her mom had spread rumors about her to the entire family, but thankfully Anela wasn't one to fall for her sister's bullshit, and instead made sure Amber was okay. It was because of her that Amber had an apartment in the first place because she had paid for it.

"Hi, chat!" Amber waved, placing cups of chocolate milk in front of her and Noelani.

"Yes, she likes chocolate milk, too," Amber chuckled. Noelani nodded, taking a sip of her drink. "Anyway, what are we supposed to draw?"

"A family portrait," Noelani answered. "In the background, my teacher wants us to do, like, where our families are from, then we draw a couple of people who are very important to us."

"Ooh," Amber let out. "Alright—"

Amber glanced down at her phone as it started to buzz and she answered. "Hey, Clay. I'm live, I'm live, I'm live by the way."

"Open discord!"

Dream immediately hung up and Amber did as she was told, opening the app while she gave her cousin some earphones, too.

"Family!" Quackity yelled as soon as he and the boys saw Amber join the call. "Hello, Amber's cousin!"

"Hi," Noelani greeted, amber fixing the microphone so it could pick up her voice. She let the boys talk to her while she searched up things to do in the art.

"Noel, this is Quackity, Karl, George, Sapnap, and Dream on the call," Amber said, eyes set on the things she wanted to draw. "Say "hi" guys."

"Hi!" Karl excitedly said and Noelani smiled before waving at the camera after Amber told her that they were watching the stream.

"Hi," Sapnap greeted.

"Hello," Noelani squeaked out and Amber mouthed an "aw," patting her cousin's shoulder. Sapnap slightly giggled and Quackity scoffed.

"Shut up, Sapnap!" He yelled. "Anyway, I'm your favorite right? Right?"

"You're my second favorite..." Noelani said with wide eyes as she glanced at Amber who was trying so hard not to laugh at her words.

Quackity gasped and started to sniff dramatically. "Noelani doesn't like me!" He sobbed. "She doesn't like me! Ahhh, I'm heartbroken!"

"Hi, Noelani? Did I say your name right?" George asked and the 15-year-old nodded. "Okay, good. Very nice to meet you."

"Hi," Dream said next. "Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you, too," Noelani smiled. "I heard so much about you from Amber."

"Oh, have you?" Noelani hummed and Dream cleared his throat as Amber stared at the camera with a deadpan face, cheeks turning pink. "Wow, Amber. You talk about me?"

"Um, yeah..."

"Hmm," Dream let out. "Do you now?"

"Are we, like, intruding on something right now?" Quackity laughed and the others, too, even Dream. Amber kept on smiling wide, trying to not focus on her chat and instead focusing on what she was drawing.

Noelani glanced at her work and Amber grabbed her phone, opening her notes app and typing a "Dream and I are dating in real life. Don't say anything" quickly. Noelani let out a soft gasp, mumbling "really?" under her breath. Amber simply nodded in response, giving her chat a side-glance.
