"Guess what?"

That was the first thing Dream heard as soon as he answered FaceTime, Amber coincidentally calling him after he and Corpse had just finished texting each other and after he and the boys finished, too.

"What?"

"You remember that girl I told you about like two days ago that was being rude to me and other people?" She asked and Dream nodded, humming his response. "Well, I saw her today as I got some baby clothes and she caused a whole scene in the store. She was kicked out."

"As she should," Dream chuckled. "Wasn't she yelling at you because you were wearing a tank top?"

Amber laughed getting inside her car. "Yes! But other than that eventful event," she placed her phone on the phone holder and Dream could see and hear her reaching for something, "I found something that reminded me of you."

"Of me?" He questioned. "Hmm, what is it?"

She grinned excitedly and he saw her taking a hold of the object. She grabbed it and immediately showed it to him.

"You like?" She asked.

"Is that a plush dinosaur?" He chuckled and she hummed. "I remind you of a dinosaur? Hmm, interesting. But, I love it."

"I got it because when I saw it, I saw the light green color and I'm like, "Dream" and then it was adorable and I'm like, "Clay's adorable" so I got it. And I can cuddle with it at night!"

Dream swore he was going to die right then and there. She's just so adorable and she didn't even know how much her words had hit him.

"Hey, um, can we talk later?" He asked and she looked at him, eyebrows furrowing. "It's nothing, like, nothing like, alarming... Well, it might be but it's nothing to overthink about or anything."

"We can talk now?" She suggested.

"I'll just wait for you to get home, okay?"

"Yeah," Amber nodded. "I'll call you in a bit, though."

Hanging up, Dream now had time to process the fact that he was going to tell her how he felt about her. How every time she would hug him, warmth spread all over his body. How every time she would cuddle him in his room or hers that he would silently freak out.

As he waited and waited, hands nervously rubbing against his pants to get rid of the sweat, he received a text from the girl he was waiting for telling him she was in her room already.

He called her and she answered, a comforting smile on her face as soon as she saw him shaking the slightest from nerves.

"What do you want to talk about?" She asked.

"I—" he started but his voice trailed off.

"Why don't you calm down, Clay?" Amber softly spoke, tilting her head to the side when she noticed that he couldn't get a word out. "Take a deep breath in and let it out—"

"I like you," he cut her off, eyes widening when he realized what he just said.

"Well, we wouldn't be friends if you didn't like me, right?" She chuckled.

"No, no, no," Dream breathed in. "I like you. Like, I like you-like you. I have a crush on you and-and I want you to be my girlfriend..."

"Oh..." Amber let out, but a smile formed on her lips. "I like you, too. Aw, you're adorable. You're blushing!"

Dream chuckled. "Shut up. But, I got approval from Corpse and the others. It took a bit of time to convince them but, they approved of me asking you out."

"You asked my friends for approval?" Amber asked, shock evident in her voice.

"Of course. I want to get along with your friends, make you comfortable. I just want to have a good friendship with them."

"I-" Dream chuckled at her shocked expression before he frowned in concern at seeing tears appear in her eyes. "You did that for... me?"

"Of course," he answered. "You're important to me."

She stayed quiet and she placed her face on her pillow. "You're so nice. I don't deserve you." She sniffed and looked back at her phone to see Dream still staring at her. "Wait, did you say you want me to be your girlfriend?"

"Yes, you idiot," he laughed softly.

"Oh, my God," Amber giggled. "You are a simp."

"Oh, shut up."

"Simp, but take me on a virtual date first and we'll see."

"Fine by me. Expect to be blown away."
