Third Person POV

"It's clear that Jenna's plan blew up in smoke but I have a new idea.
I have something that's worth even more than Steven's mega stone."

Shouted Guzma who was sitting on his throne.

"What is it boss?"

Asked Plumeria.

"The cash prize of corse. The winner is awarded not only a ribbon but as well as cash prize. The prize is $10,000.00 dollars in cold hard cash!"

Shouted Guzma,

"So what?"

Said Plumeria.

Plumeria knew that look on her boss's face. He wanted her to do something for him and she knew it. She knew her boss all too well.

"So I need you to go undercover as coordina-"

"Not happenin Guzma."

Said Plumeria.

"I would send Jenna but she failed at her last mission and you haven't had a mission in a while so it's your turn. Jenna bought you a dress."

Said Guzma holding up a up a short black dress and black high heels.

She looked in horror at the dress and glared at Guzma and silently cursed at Jenna for buying her the dress and shoes. Plumeria could just picture Jenna laughing at her expense.

"No!!! I'll die before I wear a dress and high heels!!!!"

Shouted Plumeria.

"Are you apart of this team or not?!"

Shouted Guzma in anger.

Plumeria knew her boss wasn't kidding. She sighed and looked at Guzma and glared at him. Her yellow eyes were filled with anger.

"Fine!"

Shouted Plumeria taking the dress and heels.

"Thank you Plumeria."

Said Guzma,

"I hate you!"

Shouted Plumeria stomping off.

Gladion's POV

I stood there thankful that Team Skull didn't take Mairin. I was hoping I wouldn't run into them. I didn't want them to think I betrayed them.

Two days have already passed and today is the Meli Meli Island Pokemon Contest in Marina Town and Aracel was the host.

Serena was going to enter. Lillie wanted to watch and Lillian was going to support Serena and her friends Dawn and May. Calem was going because Lillian was. No surprise there...

The only reason I was going because Lillie was making me. I wanted to do some training with Type: Null. Alec was coming only so he could pick up a hot girl. This was typical for Alec. Selene was going so this was a plus for me.

Ash was going to cheer Serena on, Alain was going because Aracel was hosting the competition and Marin was going because she wanted to see what a contest was like.

Star was going because she wanted inspiration for her art, and Rj was going because Hazel wanted to go.

I smiled at Type: Null and gently pet him on the head. Then I noticed Selene and she sat down on the couch and smiled at me.

"Hey Gladion!"

She said while flashing me a cute smile.

"H-Hi."

I said while smiling.

Why does she have to be attractive! She's so pretty!!!
I thought to myself.

"You and Type: Null are so close. How long have you been partners?"

Asked Selene.

"For about six months."

I said while petting him.

Selene reached over to pet Type: Null and Type: Null curled up on Selene's lap and laid his head on my lap.

"He's such a big sweet heart."

Said Selene petting Type: Null.

"Yeah he's a good Pokemon."

I said petting him.

Lillie saw Selene and I sitting on the couch together and she snickered at me. I glared at her and she winked at me. Lillie knows about my huge crush on Selene. Every time I look into Selene's big grey eyes, I turn to mush.

I smiled at Selene and she smiled back. Then Alec sat down on the couch in the other side of Selene.

"Your grey eyes are like two Full Moons!"

Said Alec in a flirty tone.

"Okay that's enough of that!"

Said Rj grabbing ahold of Alec's ear.

"OWWW!!!!"

Screamed Alec.

I rolled my eyes at Alec and Selene looked confused. Then Alain walked towards me and sat down.

"Can you get Lillian she hasn't gotten out of bed yet. At least I don't think she has. She hasn't even come out her in like two days. She hasn't even come to eat. The lights in her room have been on all night last night and the night before."

Said Alain.

"You don't sound concerned!"

I shouted.

"She does this when she's extremely focused on a case. She hasn't done this in a while. Since this isn't an every day type of deal I just let it slide because she is either a monster or a crazy person when she doesn't get sleep trust me."

Said Alain.

"Why me?"

I whined.

"Because Serena has already left to meet May and Dawn at the contest hall and I'm leaving now to meet Aracel. Mairin is coming with me. So that leaves you."

Said Alain.

"Okay okay fine I'll go get her."

I said.

"Please and thank you!"

Said Alain.

I knocked on Lillian's door and heard no reply.

"Lillian?"

Still no reply. I gently opened the door and saw Lillian's head on her desk and her lights were still on. She had case files on her desk.

"LILLIAN!!!"

I shouted.

Lillian jumped out of her chair and there was a post it note stuck on her forehead.

There were monstrous bags underneath her eyes due to lack of sleep and she hasn't changed clothes for at least two days.

Her hair looked like a Ratacate's nest. She looked like she had at least lost five pounds from not eating. She looked awful.

"LILLIAN WHAT ON EARTH HAPPENED TO YOU?!?!?!"

I shouted.

"Oh I was working on the case. Has it really been two days?

Asked Lillian in a groggy voice.

"YES!!! And the Pokemon Contest is today did you get any sleep?!"

I shouted.

"Not since Wednesday."

Said Lillian.

"Today is Friday!!!"

I shouted.

"Do me a favor and get me an energy drink please."

Said Lillian.

"You need your sleep!"

I said.

"I want to support my best friend!!!"

She shouted.

"Fine you an go see Serena on one condition."

I said.

"What?"

"You eat, you get sleep tonight, you change your clothes, brush your hair, and please take a shower because you really stink."

I said.

Lillian nodded and got up and left for the restroom.

"She sure does take her job very seriously."

I said under my breath.

I walked out of her room and tripped over something. I got up to see what I had tripped over. It was a small case. I opened the black case and inside was a wooden piccolo. It looked very expensive and had golden keys and the wood was made from a rare tree.

"Woah..."

I said looking at it.

"That's my prized possession."

Said Lillian walking into her room.

"You play an instrument?"

I asked.

"Flute and Piccolo."

She said.

"How long have you been playing?"

"Since I was six."

She said.

She took out a longer and bigger black case and opened it. Inside was a golden flute. It looked like it was worth thousands of dollars.

"Woah..."

I said.

"This may be a new flute but this one is worth much more to me."

Said Lillian bringing out another long case.

She opened the case and inside was a rusty and flute that was almost completely black due to the tarnish covering the flute.

"It may look like beat up flute or garbage to you but to me it's one of my most prized possessions."

Said Lillian.

Lillian touched the keys one by one and then closed the case.

"I have many fond memories with this flute. This was a family heirloom. My great grandmother used to be a famous flutist. Then it was passed down to my grandmother, then my mother, my aunt, and now it's been passed down to me. I had gotten it as a birthday present at the age of six. It used to not look like this. It was a rare sterling silver flute that you couldn't get anywhere else. It had the most beautiful tone too. That is until it was ruined in the fire that started in Lumious City due to all of the attacks from Lysandre. Now it's broken much like city once was during the attack. My best friend died to. We used to play together. She played Trumpet and I payed my flute. It wasn't till I was twelve years old that I started playing the piccolo. However things changed when Lysandre attacked the Kalos region. My best friend's vests still haunts me to this very day. That's when I swore to myself that I would catch criminals like Lysandre and make sure that something like that never happens again and that I would make them pay for their crimes!!!Lives were lost that day... People lost their children, their wives, their friends, also Kalos lost its pride that day. Kalos may seem to be back to normal but there's still a scar. Much like wound it will always leave a scar. Kalos will never forget Team Flare's selfish deeds and neither will I. That is why I am so set on figuring out who's truly behind all is this? What is Team Skull really after? Is the Aether foundation truly bent on taking over the world. So many questions with little answers. That is why I must figure this out before it's too late. I what to prevent the same thing that happened I'm Kalos. Alola shouldn't have to suffer the same fate. No one should have to bear the pain of loosing a love one. That is why I am a detective. I quit when I was Fifteen to focus on becoming Kalos champion but after Lysandre's attack I went back to work as my uncle's top detective and partner. This is why I do my job. Yes it is out of love and enjoyment but it is also out of pain and regret. I would've never done this detective job again had I've not lost my best friend seven months ago... So hold onto to those you love because today could be their last day alive... I never thought of it like that until it was too late... So I hold onto this flute as cherished memory of the times my best friend Amalie and I spent to together."

She said.

I was completely shocked at what she just just told me.

"I'm gonna go shower now."

She said leaving the room.

I stood there in shock at what she said. I was speechless. I didn't know what to think or say.

Lillian's POV
I had just shared something very personal about myself with Gladion. I felt kind of relieved that I could get it all off of my chest.

I opened the locket and it revealed a picture and Amalie and I together. She had long wavy brown hair and brown eyes. I was always jealous of her appearance.

All the guys fell for her and I felt like I was her shadow. However my battling skills attracted the attention of several guys and that's actually how I met Nate.

I felt the hot water from the shower hit my skin. I liked taking long showers because they always had made me feel so relaxed. After I was done showing I turned off the hot water and got out of the shower.

I grabbed my towel and I dried myself off and put on a green shirt, black shorts and my black converse. I put on light make up and dried my hair and I came out of the bathroom.

Gladion was waiting for me and he had an energy drink in his hand and a big smile on his face. I smiled back at him and took the energy drink and took a big sip. I still felt exhausted but this would have to do.

"Ready to go?"

Asked Gladion.

I nodded and we both headed out along with Selene, Alec, Calem, Star, Alec, Lillie, Rj, and Ash. I remembered Dawn mentioning that Gary was coming to surprise Ash.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gary only came to annoy Ash. Those two have had a rivalry for such a long time.

"Hey Lillian you sure you're okay to go?"

Asked Rj.

"Of course I am. So VG's not coming?"

I asked.

"No he wanted to catch an electric type Pokemon."

Said Rj.

"I'm going so I can see some hot girls!"

Said Alec with hearts in his eyes.

"Typical."

Said Rj rolling his eyes.

"Has he always been this annoying?"

Asked Gladion.

"At least you don't have to deal with this on a daily basis."

Said Rj.

"True."

Said Gladion.

We walked into professor Kukui's driveway and he was waiting for us in his car. Are you all ready to go?"

He asked.

"Dad are you a sure we can fit everyone? It allmost like we need a new car."

Said Selene.

"Selene we don't need a new car. We'll all be fine."

Said Kukui.

We all nodded and we loaded into Kukui's car but everyone was completely smushed together and it was a mess. I could hear Rj cursing up a storm.

"Get off of me Calem!"

Said Ash.

"I'm sorry I can't move!!!"

Shouted Calem who was on top of Ash trying to get off.

"Alec move!!! Your elbow is in my face!!!"

Shouted Rj.

"Your face is in my elbow!!!"

Shouted Alec.

"That's doesn't make any sense!!!!"

Shouted Rj.

"Lillie could you scoot over?"

Asked Hazel politely.

"I would if I could but I can't!"

Said Lillie who was squished by Gladion.

"Gladion please move!"

Said Lillie.

"Where do you suggest I move!!!"

Shouted Gladion.

Lillie pushed Gladion on the floor.

"That's better."

Said Lillie.

"OUCH!!!"

Shouted Gladion glaring at Lillie.

"Star please get off of my lap."

I said.

"Where do you suggest I sit?!"

Shouted Star.

"Is everyone comfortable back there!"

Asked Kukui.

"COMFORTABLE?!?!?! I DON'T EVEN HAVE A SEAT!!!!"

Shouted Gladion.

"At least your not sitting next to them!"

Shouted Selene who was sitting next to Alec and Rj.

"I get to sit next to the hot girl."

Said Alec winking at Selene.

"Can we trade seats?!"

Selene begged me.

"No way! I'd rather have Star sitting on my lap than having to sit next to Alec!"

I shouted.

"I'm right here!"

Shouted Alec.

Alec was messing with Rj and touching him while Rj was cursing at him. Then Alec's elbow hit Selene in the face and she looked up at Alec in anger.

"New car dad?!"

Asked Selene.

Kukui sighed.

"New car... I can't fix now though.

Said Kukui while sighing.

"Are saying we have to rise to the contest like this!"

Shouted Ash.

"Do not complain!!! At least you have seat!!!"

Shouted Gladion.

"Would you shut up Gladion!"

Shouted Calem getting aggravated.

"This is not the time to fight."

Said Hazel calmly.

"Hazel's right!"

I said.

Everyone looked at me I silence and sat quietly for the rest of the ride there.

Third Person POV

Jessie or as she called herself Jessaleene was wearing a fancy sparkly pink dress with a fancy pearl necklace and pearl earrings.

Her hair was tied up in a fancy bun and she had small curls hanging down by her ears. She had on a silver masquerade mask covering her face.

"Look at me I'm shoe in to win this contest."

Said Jessie laughing and giggling.

"Yeah and now my wallet is crying."

Said James sighing.

"Yeah tawk about the wells have run dry."

Said Meowth.

"You two stop your complaining!!! If I win we get a cash price along with my first ribbon."

Said Jessie with a smile.

"What makes yous think that Alola will be anything different from Hoen, Kanto, and Sinnoh?"

Asked Meowth.

"Jessalina may not have won a single ribbon but Jessaleene will! With my skills, sheer talent, grace, beauty, and my beautiful Pokemon I'll win it for sure!"

Said Jessie laughing like a maniac.

"Jimmy boy I think she's lost it."

Said Meowth.

"Agreed...."

Said James.

"James I need your Mallamar."

Said Jessie.

"Not my Mallamar!!!"

Shouted James.

"I need it to win!!! And with a newly evolved Pokemon I'll win this contest for sure!"

Said Jessie laughing.

"Who are you using with Mallamar?"

Asked Meowth.

"Sephiver will be battling with Mallamar in the battle round. And Yamega and Gourgiest will be in the appeal round."

Said Jessie.

"That's a good idea since Sephiva has had ented in Contests befowe."

Said Meowth.

"Now it's onto the contest stage!"

Shouted Jessie.

Meanwhile Plumeria stood and listened in on Team Rocket's plan and snickered.

"Like she can win. I plan on taking that cash prize regardless of wether I win or lose."

Said Pluameria while smirking.

Pluameria walked into the dressing room and looked at her appearance.

She was wearing a sequenced long sleeve black pencil dress that reached just above her knees and showed off all of her curves.

Her pink and yellow hair was down and reached to her waist and she had on natural makeup.

She was wearing her black high heels and had on small silver hoop earrings and a necklace with a heart charm on it.

"Guzma I'm gonna kill you for this!"

Said Plumeria under her breath.

She turned around and saw a group of three girls. The group of girls consisted of a brunette, a girl with long blue hair, and a girl with short wavy honey blonde hair.

The honey blonde looked about sixteen years old whole the others looked no older than sixteen.

The brunette was wearing a long strapless sapphire blue dress that reached down to her feet and made her blue eyes stand out. The girl's brunette hair was up in a fancy up do and she had on silver star shaped earrings.

Her friend had long blue hair in tight ringlet curls. She was wearing a yellow and light pink dress that reached to her knees with slight yellow accents and it had a yellow rose pattern.

She was wearing white flats and a white chocked with a small yellow rose charm on it. She has on yellow rose earrings to match her entire ensemble.

She had on pink nail polish and had on light makeup. Her brunette friend was already a natural beauty and wasn't wearing any makeup.

The honey blonde was the prettiest girl out of the group. Her was wavy hair was held back by a white headband with a bow that looked like a Sylveon's.

She was wearing a white dress with pink and blue accents. The dress looked like it had a Slyveon pattern and she had on very light makeup.

"Are you new here?"

Asked the Brunette.

"This isn't my first contest if that's what you mean."

Said Plumeria.

This wasn't a lie. She had entered in contests before but that was all in the past.

"No it's just that I've just never seen you before. My name is May and these are my friends Dawn and Serena. What's your name

Asked May with a big smile on her face.

"Mira."

Said Plumeria comming up with a fake name.

"Hi it's nice to meet you Mira."

Said Serena with a huge smile.

The three girls all seemed friendly but naive. Plumeria knows that these girls would be easy to trick especially Serena.

Dawn seemed the the trickiest though out of the three. She seemed to look at Plumeria with an unsettling stare.

"So have you three competed before?"

Asked Plumeria.

"Yeah Dawn and I have. This is Serena's first contest."

Said May.

"Well best of luck to you three."

Said Plumeria walking off.

Serena will be easy to beat since she's the newbie but I probably better watch out for Dawn she seems to know what's up. Thought Plumeria to herself.

Then she noticed a guy with messy green hair and green eyes approach the group of three girls.

May's POV

"Hey May!"

"Drew what are you doing you doing here?"

I shouted.

"I'm confused."

"who is this?"

Asked Serena.

"Oh that's drew. One of May's biggest rivals."

Said Dawn.

Then Dawn pulled Serena in closer and began to whisper.

Dawn was smirking and Serena smiled.

"Oh."

Said Serena.

This made me uneasy. Now Serena knows that I have a big crush on Drew.

"Guess who's also here!"

I jumped as my old rival Harley came up from behind me.

"HARLEY?!?!?!?!"

I shouted in shock.

"In the flesh!"

Said Harley winking at me

"Don't forget me."

Said Soledad.

"Soledad you too?"

I asked.

"We wouldn't miss a chance to compete in this contest and I'm gonna beat you like always."

Said Drew.

"Who lost to me in the grand festival can someone please refresh my memory. Oh wait that was you."

I said with a smirk on my face.

"You will never let that go will you?!"

Said Drew.

"I'll beat both of you."

Said Soledad.

"Don't forget me. I'm gonna be the one face to off against May and then Soledad in the finals."

Said Harley.

"If only Lexie were here. She would love to be with everyone."

Said Soledad.

Lexie was an old traveling companion of Harley's. They were pretty close friends. Lexie's never lost a contest battle before so beating her is tough.

"Is she still in Unova?"

I asked.

"Actually she's in Kalos. She's competing for Kalos Queen. It's her way of training for Pokemon contests. She's working on appeal."

Said Soledad.

"Oh I see."

I said.

Then the the TV turned on and the host was on the TV screen.

"Hello are you all ready for an exciting Pokemon Contest?! I'm your host Jillian and now let's introduce our Judges first up its our guest judge and on our most famous coordinators Aracel Mikaelson!!!"

Shouted the announcer.

"It's very nice to be judging a contest and seeing all these amazing performances."

Said Aracel with a smile on the TV screen.

"Wow I can't believe that she's actually here!!! She's my idol!!!"

Said Dawn in excitement.

"It's so awesome that we get a celebrity judge."

I said happily.

After the announcer had gave all the names of the judges the performances were now about to start.

"Now here's our first contestant Mira!"

Shouted the announcer

"Wow it's that girl from before."

Said Serena.

"Yeah..."

Said Dawn suspiciously.

"Is something wrong Dawn?"

I asked.

"No something just seems off about her..."

Said Dawn.

I wonder what Dawn is thinking about Mira
