"pete, what the hell is going on?"

the bleached blond just keeps walking, head down and eyes shut. why won't patrick just leave? why can't he just be left alone?

"peter lewis kingston wentz the third if you don't turn around this fucking moment I will personally confront your dad." patrick barks.

pete stops.

"why won't you just talk to me?" the boy with the fedora begs, "i need to know what's going on. tell me, please. why do you keep isolating yourself?"

pete shakes his head and after a moment, turns.

"i'm afraid of hurting you."

and then he turns and continues to walk. patrick doesn't stop him.

he's too distracted by the bruise on the back of pete's arm.
