(Gabriel's POV)

I don't know if I had ever experienced the level of giddiness that was currently coursing through my veins, giggling like a madman as I took off like a jet.

I could hear Hailey screaming at me for cheating, using some of the most interesting curse words. I didn't think I'd ever been called a twat waffle before. I also couldn't remember the last time I was this happy.

That was the thing about Hailey, the level of attraction was not only there, it was tenfold. But, I also had never had as much fun as I did with her.

I looked at my waterproof watch, it was 11 o'clock. Our date had officially been going on for two hours and I didn't think I'd ever enjoyed myself quite so much.

I docked my board and waited for Hailey to pull hers up next to mine, poking at her as she got close enough, "Jesus Hailey, take your time... not like we have anything else to do for our date today." I kept catching myself announcing it was a date and knew it was cause I was excited that she agreed to all of this.

She gave me the dirtiest look as she pulled up next to me. I chuckled and she rolled her eyes. I had never found someone who I enjoyed spending time with more. No matter what we were doing, it was always fun and I had really missed this.

As she stepped off her paddleboard up and onto the sand, her cursing gave way to giggles. My laughter abruptly stopped and I forgot everything but an awe of her beauty. The sun lit up her smiling face and I pulled her forward for a hug, knowing that there was nowhere I'd rather be.

I smiled into her hair, breathing in the scent of strawberries and sunshine. "Are you ready for the next part of our day?"

She raised her eyes, nodding hard. "I can't believe there's more, thank you for doing this, what's next?"

As if they had heard us, Addy and Liam pulled up the driveway and Murphy started jumping around knowing that more people were joining our party.

When I had told Addy about trying to get Hailey out on the water, as much as possible she had jumped on board immediately.

She declared that the best days off were filled with brunch, boozy beverages and boating. I wasn't shocked that Hailey and Addy got along famously and immediately knew she would love it.

We had waited last night until Hailey was in the back and then Addy had put out her hand and said, you guys fund the day and I'll take care of everything else.

I had gladly left the food and beverages up to her and as we unloaded the back of the truck, I was glad we had.

She had a "before boating" cooler, that we took up to the patio up top, as well as a cooler for later on the lake.

As we took everything out, and laid down the most amazing spread, I felt the sun hit my shoulders and couldn't think of a better way to spend a day.

Addy pulled out champagne, orange juice and plastic champagne glasses, stating, "it's not every day Hailey gets a full day off to spend time with us, figured we needed to celebrate."

Hailey blushed and gave a little smile, "thanks for doing all this guys. This is amazing!"

She gave my arm a squeeze and my heart gave a little squeeze in joy. I was quickly realizing that Hailey's happiness packed a powerful punch and as I opened the champagne and doctored our drinks, I felt relieved and incredibly thankful that she was pumped to spend a day with me and my friends.

After having a couple mimosas, we moved down to the boat, wanting to get some wakeboarding in before having any more drinks.

Liam had somehow chirped Hailey into going first, telling her that she obviously needed the most practice since she'd been away for so long.

I had laughed as I saw the gleam in her eye, as she shrugged and said, "$20 days I stay up longer than you."

I hid my smile at the wager, rusty or not, she was going to hammer him. Liam scoffed but I could see he was nervous as he remembered the force of Hailey's determination.

Then I lost track of everything around me as she peeled off her sweater and was left in a forest green bikini top and her sports shorts.

I swallowed hard as she walked by and the curves of her breasts rubbed my arm as she moved to get in the water. She gave me a wink like she knew exactly what she was doing.

As we took off, Addy gave a whoop when Hailey got up immediately. I laughed as Liam sped up, and turned almost immediately. Hailey didn't go over though she gave a laugh and hit the wake, catching air and doing a little flip.

Addy laughed next to me and gave a cat call, Liam growled and I smiled, remembering that Hailey had been the best of all of us on the water.

When she was finally done, and came up. Liam high fived her and said, "I should have known!"

She giggled and came back towards me, I raised my hand as if I was going to high five her but when our hands hit, I closed my hand and pulled her in. Whispering in her ear how amazing she was and then popping a quick kiss on her lips before ripping off my shirt and announcing that it was my turn.

I could feel her eyes tracing my body as I walked to the back of the boat. Only fair, considering how hard it was to tear my eyes off of her. I looked back and threw a wink back at her, causing her to blush.

As I got in the water and the boat moved away, her laugh carried back to me and again I felt that squeeze on my heart.

I didn't know if there was such a thing as a soul mate, one person made for you. However, the way that she already fit me, the way she made me feel and the excitement currently pumping through my veins, gave me reason to consider the idea more than I ever had.

A/N- Not going to lie, brunch, boozy beverages and boating sounds pretty awesome right about now.

Also, absolutely made me think of this scene with 3 other b's! 😂
