Chapter 10

Re-Read the last chapter if you must, despite it having nothing to do with this one exactly.

Elias stared at Candice. She was good. She was really good. His eyes watched her, hoping to get an answer, to know her next move. She was skilled, but he just had to be better.

"Checkmate," Her voice was soft and giddy as she folded her arms across her chest.

Elias gave up.

"How are you so good at this?" Elias pushed on the table so that his chair could slide backward.

He stood from his seat and went to sit in front of his laptop.

"Midas taught me," She shrugged as she took off her shoes and plopped down on Elias' bed. Elias looked at her shortly before going back to his work.

Candice rolled over on her back and kicked her feet up. She couldn't get over how comfy this bed felt.

They had known each other for about a few weeks and Candice spent more and more days over at Elias' suite, only when his parents weren't there, although they knew of her presence, but had yet to meet her.

Elias was happy that she began to feel comfortable around him over the past few days.

It wasn't long before he heard the sound of his fridge opening. He assumed she got a snack to eat or probably a drink.

It surely wasn't long before he felt her presence directly behind him. "Whatcha doing?" She whispered by his ear. He felt a chill breeze on the shell of it, which confirmed his suspicions that she indeed had something thrilling to drink.

She rested her hands on his shoulders in a friendly gesture, her eyes staring at his laptop screen. She continued, "What subject is this?" It either looked liked History or Social Studies. Candice wasn't quite sure why they had different names since they were basically the same in her opinion.

Elias let out a breath; she was so close to him.

"History," He breathes out. Candice turned to look at the side of his face when she noticed the husk in his tone.

Oh, it sounded so sexy. Her hands on his shoulders tensed, and she stilled her movements after that, and so did he.

"What's it about?" She continued to look at his side profile, her eyes roaming over his sharp jawline.

"The War," He said simply, his jaw clenched. She hums at his response. Her hands grip his shoulders more firmly.

"Tell me about it," She shrugs, her voice remaining soft.

Elias didn't answer, his fingers gripping onto the mouse to save and then minimize the app that he was using. He still didn't move from his position.

"Candice?" He spoke. His hand tightened on the mouse that was in his hold. She didn't respond, but he knew that she was listening, so he continued. "If I were you..." He paused. He slowly spun around his chair so that he now faced Candice who had flushed cheeks and parted lips. He took a firm grip on her chin and released a breath, "I'd go over there and be as far away from me as humanely possible in this room."

Candice trembled at his tone. It was warning and commanding, begging her to be disobedient. But like the good fucking little girl she was, Elias watched her follow his instructions and settled herself on the far end of the bed, her doe eyes staring up at him in question.

Elias ground his teeth together before turning around and opening back up his document and continuing to type relentlessly onto his keyboard.

His jaw locked tighter and tighter with each word he typed. Her scent was still surrounded him in a sweet aroma. He'd never smelled anything like it; it was Candice's smell, simply her.

His fingers sped up.

He could still feel her soft hands on his shoulders, still feel the heat from her touch burning a hole through his shirt.

He typed faster.

Her cold breath against the shell of his ear, the soft feeling of her lips brushing against them after was enough to send him mad.

The tips of his fingers pressed harder against the keyboard.

Elias tried hard to stop his breathing from escalating so quickly. Even he himself thought that he was overreacting. But no matter what he did, or tried to think about, his mind still wandered back to Candice.

His muscles were tensed, his jaw was clenched, his forehead was sweating, his veins were popping. So when Candice gently touched his shoulder and readied herself to ask him if he was feeling alright, that was all it took for Elias to lose all control.

Candice couldn't even fathom how and even when he managed to get her pinned on the wall next to the bed. The look in his eyes made Candice whimper, but she herself knew that it wasn't from fear.

"E-Elias?" Elias' teeth gritted together. The way his name passed from her lips sent him over the edge of the cliff. It was so soft, so innocent. It was a simple word that made his pants suddenly become a bit tight.

The look in her eyes; they were wide, but not with fear, oh, no they weren't. They were filled with a wanting, a need, a look that begged Elias to do unthinkable things to her that he'd never thought about doing to any other girl in his life.

This girl in front of him was practically begging to be fucked.

He had reached his breaking point. How he managed to be so close to her and friends for this long was beyond him. He was surprised he made it past the week mark, better yet the month.

Elias tilted his head to the side as he looked at her. His breathing had escalated and her soft pink lips were parted. She wanted him to do something, anything, to her, and he knew it.

He blamed her; he blamed her for being so fucking sexy and unbelievably beautiful. How someone managed to be both at the same time was incredibly shocking to him, but somehow, Candice had managed to be just that.

"You're doing this on purpose," Elias was frustrated that she looked back at him with genuinely confused eyes. She was really a little minx.

Elias breathed through his nose, his face an inch away from hers. He had his hands on either side of her, and allowed his eyes to travel leisurely down her body.

The little dress she wore did nothing to hide her bare neck or upper chest, and the way she craned up said neck to look up at him, left her sweet, exposed skin to his hungry eyes.

"Doing what?" Candice stood confused, her palms flat against the wall.

Elias squinted his eyes at her before having the sudden urge to form his lips in a sneer. As he stared at her, he realized. He realized that she made no attempt to move, there was no fear in her face and most importantly, he realized that she liked being pressed up against this wall. She liked how he looked at her; made her feel. She relished in it.

"You enjoy this," It was meant to be a question, but to both of their ears, it was a statement. "You enjoy me this close to you," Elias leaned forward just a bit and rested a hand on her waist, pushing her back on the wall when her hips bucked forward.

She parted her lips a little further when he tilted his head to the side, his lips brushing against her own.

Why wouldn't he kiss her?! She craved it. She had never seen Elias act in such a way and she loved it. Then why wasn't he kissing her? Had she read him wrong and he didn't want her like how she did him? He's pressed up against her, for God's Sake! Obviously, he wants her... right?

Candice was becoming frustrated and Elias knew it. He looked at Candice in her eyes for a short period of time again before tilting his head down and planting his head right in the crook of her neck.

Candice tilted her head to the side, her hands balling into fists on the wall.

His nose ran over each crease and line in her neck. He fed off of her reaction. He listened for any sounds leaving her mouth; felt for any shuddering coming from her body.

And then he felt it, heard it.

"Right there, hm?" He stopped himself from moving any further from that part of her. The intake of her breath and she shiver of her body let him know that that was her soft spot; the spot where he was going to drive her crazy from now on.

Candice stilled, and bit her lips when she felt soft, warm lips touch her gentle skin, Her neck craned to the side and Elias jutted out his tongue and darted it up the length of her neck.

"Ah," Candice cried out ever-so-softly.

Candice un-balled her fists and laid them flat against the wall.

"Shhh, shh," Elias lightly shushed her as he gripped her waist tightly, giving it a squeeze. "Easy," He hummed.

His teeth grated up the side of her neck once more before he sucked rather harshly and afterward, slowly pulled away.

His face appeared directly in front of Candice's own as she fluttered her eyes open. She didn't even realize when she had closed them.

Elias stared into her brown eyes. If she wasn't so close to him, she wouldn't have noticed the slight pull at the corner of his lips when he said, "That's gonna leave a mark," He started in a low voice. He proceeded to raise a hand and push her hair away from her shoulder.

Candice slowly reached up and attempted to lay even a finger on Elias but she was denied this access when he muttered, "Hands back on the wall." She instantly did it when she heard the tone of his voice.

Elias tilted his head to the side, pushing her hair behind her ear this time. He then took this time to look at the clock a few feet above her head.

"It's getting late," He murmured near her ear. "I should take you home."

With that, Elias pulled back and turned around. Candice watched as he backed her, his back muscles tensing under his black long-sleeved shirt. He pushed his sleeves about his elbows and ran his thick fingers over his hair.

Candice couldn't move from her spot for a while, but somehow gathered the strength and courage to walk towards the door on shaky feet.

She avoided eye contact with Elias as she left, but still made up her mind to make Elias pay for this somehow.
