Chapter 1
They had finally arrived. After 13 hours on a plane, the group was surely jet-lagged and extremely tired. This didn't stop any of them though, no it hadn't, for they were far too excited to be finally in the beautiful island of Xerxia; sands, seas, and sun.
Maryam and Logan sighed as they plopped their suitcases on the floor of the beach house and ran a tired hand through their hair.
They both then turned and looked at the door where their son, Elias, and his two friends, Leon and Anthony, stood.
The latter looked around in awe at the huge beach house, turning their bodies in every different angle possible to see each corner from a better view.
Elias on the other hand, cracked his knuckles to relieve some of the tension in them, and walked into the large room with ease. He was use to this type of luxury, his parents being extremely well off.
"Okay, boys," Maryam spoke. "Time for the hard part; unpacking. There are three bedrooms, you guys will decide who will share one and who'll get the other for themselves," She finished as she and her husband proceeded to meditate in their bedroom after quietly shutting the door.
"Okay!" Leon clasped his hands together. "I'm the oldest so why don't you two little kids share a room?" He suggests as he smiles charmingly.
Anthony and Elias stared at each other with unimpressed looks before Anthony spoke up, "And you're also the dumbest, repeating fifth grade. Stupid fucker." He cursed as he unzips his suitcase.
Elias struggled to keep the smile off of his face as he watched the two. He wasn't sure how they would settle this argument. Frankly, he didn't care who he has to share with, as long as they didn't sleep in the same bed because he definitely didn't roll that way.
Leon rolled his eyes, "What's your argument, bug guy?" He nudged his head towards Anthony, who obviously felt like he was more worthy of the room by himself than anyone else.
"I'm the most handsomest," Anthony smiled matter-of-factly.
Elias wanted to roll his eyes at the bullshit he was hearing.
"And you called me dumb? Have you ever heard most handsomest in a sentence together before?" Leon shot back as he threw one of his swim trunks at Anthony's face.
By this time, Elias was fed up with hearing the bickering, so he stood up and made his way to the patio doors, his eyes immediately dropping to the gorgeous view beneath him. He took a moment to close his eyes and to inhale the fresh air, his strong arms resting on the railing.
Elias felt his jaw lock and his hands grip onto the railing even tighter when the bickering began to get louder. Why did he bring them along with him again? He didn't know.
He liked silence, and right now, it was anything but that.
"Hey!" He turned around and shouted loudly. His deep voice held enough power to shake the entire beach house. Even his parents heard it but chose to ignore it, knowing that Leon and Anthony always seemed to bring out the worse in Elias.
They were still extremely good friends, but Elias couldn't take the noise.
Leon and Anthony didn't even jump at his outburst as they both stopped unpacking.
"I'll be getting the room," Elias finalized with a clench of his jaw. His veins were popping through his hands by now as he stood in the middle of the room and watched the duo.
Before Leon kept his mouth shut like what any sensible person would do, he spoke, "B-But I—"
Elias interrupts him with a raise of his hand, "Who invited you here?" He grits out.
Leon looked down and murmured a small, "You."
Elias continued, "And whose parents own this beach house?" He closes his eyes as he asks this question, his finger pointing accusingly at Leon and Anthony.
"Yours," Leon mumbles.
Elias rolls his eyes and picks up a key card from off of the table. As said before, he didn't care if he had to share a room or not, but after their little ordeal, this would be their little punishment.
"I going to buy some eggs, coming?" He asks. He didn't care if he looked like ass from being on the plane ride for that long, he just wanted to get some damn eggs, him and his friends becoming hungry as fuck.
Both boys nodded and they left the house, after ensuring that Elias' parents knew where they were going.
Going down by the docks, all three of the boys admired everything about the island. The simple culture and the beautiful tanned skins of the people there all seemed to intrigue them.
"Where's the shop?" Leon asks as he smiles at a group of girls passing by. He was surely a handful; funny, handsome and a complete player. He knew he was beyond handsome and would always use that to his advantage to charm the girls.
"I'll have to read the signs to you guys since you obviously can't form a sentence, Mr. Handsomest," Elias joked. The shade was directed to Anthony who rolled his eyes and stuffed his hands in his pocket.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever," He mumbled embarrassingly. "Damn, look at the hot ones here," Anthony whistles. "Maybe I'll find my future wife here," He states as he gestures to the young, leggy teenage girls who were sunbathing by the pool.
"Maybe you'd find a brain while you're at it," Elias mumbles with a short laugh as he ran a hand through his unruly hair, the cool breeze throwing the strands all of over his forehead.
The action caused a chorus of giggles and swoons from some 15-year-olds nearby, adorned in their little bikinis. Elias smiled and waved awkwardly at them, not knowing what else to do as they whispered about him.
The gesture erupted some gasps to leave the group as one girl even fanned herself dramatically.
Elias sped up his walking as he stuffed his hands in his pocket. He knew that he was easy on the eye, going as far as to even call himself attractive, but sometimes he felt like the female population did too much. Could you blame them? With a 6 foot 2 height of lean muscle, brown hair that was styled perfectly, strong jawline and piercing brown eyes, it was hard for any girl not to be affected by his 100% pure manliness. Not to mention how much of a gentleman he was, despite giving off that 'bad boy aura'.
He was the type to carry a girl on a date, to open the car door for her, pull out her seat and to bring a big bouquet of flowers just for her. Unfortunately though, he had yet to find that special girl who would receive that type of chivalry from him.
Anthony looked to his left and took note of the large glass building that many people walked in and out of with shopping carts in their grasp.
"Found it," The dark-skinned Adonis stated. His friends all looked in his direction before nodding and heading off in the direction of the store.
The group separated, deciding that different paths would be more than useful in the foreign place, making up their mind that along with eggs, they would get some milk, bread, and snacks.
Elias felt his frustration growing when he realized that the shelf was filled with only goat milk; an abomination.
He felt a presence next to him, slowly inching towards him as they tried to get his attention. He tried to ignore it to the best of his ability, stepping aside every time he felt them get closer but he realized that it was no use; the human being next to him was a persistent one.
He turned to his left and placed a polite smile on his lips as he stared at the blonde hair girl which stood at around 5'6. Her hair looked to be thinning in a very unhealthy way and her face was littered in small, red pimples.
He observed her further discreetly, taking note of her yellow, short sundress that hugged the curve of her large breast and trailed out down her thin, rather curveless body.
"Hey, there," Elias showed his pearly white teeth.
She wasn't necessarily what he would consider "attractive" but he couldn't help but think that she had the most captivating blue eyes he had ever seen.
"Hey!" The girl squeaked back quickly. She had tried to work up a conversation with him forever now and felt as if she was on Cloud 9 now that a boy such as Elias was paying her attention. Cute guys didn't even look twice at her.
"I'm Elias," He puts out his hand out kindly and waits for her to return the gesture. She quickly wipes her sweaty hand in her dress before placing it on his rather large hand.
He evaluated her, which made her blush under his gaze. She seemed like a shy person, he decided. He really preferred brunettes anyway, but he thought it was a good time to make a friend nevertheless.
"I-I'm Alina," She stuttered. She couldn't get over how beautiful his smile was. Maybe this would be the one, she sighed dreamily.
Elias cleared his throat awkwardly at the noise she just made and how she still refused to let go of his hand, "Sorry." She muttered. "Are you from around here?" She asked. She wanted to continue the conversation anyway she could.
He chuckled softly, ignoring her little display of awkwardness before speaking, "No, actually. I'm here on vacation," He converses as he looks back on the shelf shortly.
"Oh! I can show y-you around some time if you'd like. We should exchange numbers." The girl mumbles shyly.
Elias scratches behind his neck. He really wasn't planning to move about much this summer. Just to the beach and back to his beach house where he could relax. Nevertheless, she seemed persistent. He really didn't like giving out his number to every and anybody either. If he did to every girl that used that line, he'd have over 100 teenage female contacts on his phone.
"Well, actually—" Elias was grateful that Leon and his loud mouth had interrupted them just in time before he could let the girl down softly.
"Found the eggs!" He yelled as he clapped his hands on Elias' back, now only noticing the presence of the blushing girl in front of them.
Two hot guys? How was she supposed to act now?
"Who's the chick?" Came Leon's rude response. Elias rolled his eyes at his friend's non-courtesy and introduced the two.
"Leon, Alina. Alina, Leon," He states shortly. "Sorry, Alina, but we must be going now, I'll see you around." He shook his hand at her slightly before walking away. Alina looked at his retreating back and sighed dejectedly. Another guy slipped through her fingers, except this one, was nicer than the rest, and she felt as if this chance only came once in a lifetime.
"How'd you meet her?" Leon asked. He needed to mind his business sometimes.
Elias shrugged as Anthony joined them. They all stood and waited in the long line when all they wanted were fucking eggs and bread since they couldn't get any milk, while the people in front of them had full shopping carts.
Anthony and Leon conversed amongst each other while Elias stood to the side and played a game on his phone.
Eyes focused on the direction of the ground as he gazed at his phone, Elias took notice of the large glasses that slid right between his separated feet, catching note of how someone's feet kicked them in his direction.
He locked his phone and placed it in his pocket, looking quizzically down at the glasses that slid down by his feet. He was sure that they were kicked about all over the ground for a while now judging by how dirt creased against the ridges and creases of the spectacles.
His eyes only looked up when he heard a soft voice come from in front of him.
"E-Excuse me? Have you seen my—" The girl had her head down as her blonde hair acted as a curtain in front of her face, hands out in front of her form to ensure that she doesn't crash into anything in front of her. She stopped midway in her sentence when the man she was asking the question turns away and disregards her.
"H-Hello. Did you happen to see—" The girl squints her eyes towards the floor harder to see if she could make out the thin rims of her glasses. She stopped her sentence once again as another person ignores her.
As she walks forward, she trips over someone's foot, or maybe her own, Elias didn't really have time to process it as he quickly moved forward, slid and slipped his arms underneath the girl's own, his reflexes swift and calculated.
The blonde-haired girl stops her soft scream midway as she didn't feel the hard impact of the ground as she expected, but instead the soft, yet sculptured mass of Elias.
The girl let out a sigh of relief, not having time to process that someone had caught her, only happy at the moment that the ground wasn't painted with her face.
Her body grew rigid in Elias' arms as she finally looked up, eyes now wide as she processes a human being right in front of her face.
Elias' muscles tensed as he stared at the girl in his arms. She couldn't see him but he could surely see her. Her innocent brown eyes that seemed to shine so effortlessly in the light. Such a dull and ordinary color, soon became his favorite. Perfect pink lips formed in the shape of an 'O' and blonde hair trailing all over his arms and down her back.
She was surely a beauty. He would even go as far as saying the most beautiful girl he had ever seen with her smooth skin and porcelain face.
Elias released a shaky breath before whispering ever so gently, "These belong to you?"
