Chapter 1- mornings at the Waters
What Summer kinda looks like above. Feel free to use your own imagination. I am so, so sorry for the really late update since the last chapter because some of my drafts went missing and I have been so busy lately. Also, updates will be much slower because I am rewriting the story just cuz' I don't think what I have written is as good as the idea that I currently have in mind. Thank you for understanding!
Summer's favorite Oreo flavor below:
This chapter is dedicated to HaileyWinter3, the first person who followed me other than my friends. Thanks, Haley!

" Summer, wake up honey, you're going to be late if you don't wake up now," a soothing voice filled my ears. I mumbled a 'no', my mind still in a sleepy state. Just as I was to drift off into a deeper sleep, my blanket was yanked off of me, making my hair stand to its ends as the sudden breeze of cold air hit my skin. Shivering, I blindly moved my around, feeling for my precious blanket before pulling it up all the way to cover my face.
"Summer, Summer Hollister Waters, get out of bed before I get Aiden!" warned the same old voice as before.
"Five more minutes," I mumbled from under the blankets, slowly drifting back to sleep again. Seconds before I was about to fall back into the black hole of deep sleep when the sound of curtains being drawn filled the air, followed by my blanket being yanked off of me again. This time, I did not bother to find my blanket, cold or not.
Even in a sleepy state, I could hear footsteps that are without a doubt, my brother, Matthew's, getting softer as they left the room. There is one and only one way to wake me up without much effort and that is to draw the curtains to let the sunlight burst into my room like prisoners who just broke free from prison, making absolutely impossible for me to drift back to sleep. An easy solution that only my elder brother, Matthew knows about. What can I say, he's both my brother and my 'parent'.
The sun shone brilliantly, so much so that I could see the glow of it at the back of my eyelids, making it absolutely impossible to drift back to sleep. Tossing and turning, I tried to sleep even though I knew that it was pointless. I finally decided to give up on my battle against the sunlight and jumped out of bed before dragging myself to the bathroom. Time to get ready for the day.
Once I got ready, I skipped down the stairs and followed the wonderful aroma of Matthew's buttermilk pancakes that filled my nostrils the moment I got out of my room, and to the kitchen. I greeted Matthew before plopping down on the dining chair and taking a bite from my pancakes. The taste of the buttermilk pancakes was absolutely divine! The first flavor to unfold on my tongue is the sweetness of the syrup, quickly followed by the delicate, buttery flavor from the pancakes itself. The coolness from the syrup and the heat from the pancakes complemented each other perfectly and only served to bring out the subtle flavor of the pancake itself. Then there's the warm and homey feeling that settles down in your stomach. One word pops up in my mind. Heaven. The one and only word to describe the pancakes. "What a peaceful morning," I thought as I savored every bite of "heaven". I shouldn't have thought about that too soon because my morning is going to get noisy as soon as a certain someone starts making his way down the stairs.
"Misty morning, mist is lifting, rising of the dawn, dawn is breaking..." an awfully high pitched and cracking voice bounced off of the walls, echoing. I reached up to cover my ears, trying to block out the horrible sound that is going to make my ears bleed to death but to no avail. The singing was just too loud. I looked up to see Aiden standing on the stairs with his left hand on his forehead, right hand on the banister and his eyes closed. I rolled my eyes, typical Aiden. Oh, I almost forgot, if he wants to be dramatic then... ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, mammals and fishes, reptiles and amphibians, I present to you the one and only idiotic piece of shit and unfortunately my twin brother, Aiden Carter Waters. Player of the year, shitty brother and the number one failure. *silently claps hands* Anyway, let's get on track.
"Will you please shut it? You're annoying the heck out of me with that terrible singing of yours!" I yelled at him, annoyed that I can't have my pancakes in peace.
"Summer, language, please!" reminded Matthew who was doing the dishes. Unlike Aiden, Matthew is, fortunately, a mature brother who also is the pancake and "heaven" maker, our caretaker brother and one who makes the money.
" Well looks like someone is all sunshine and rainbows today!" said Aiden sarcastically before sitting down. He continued, "Summer, darling, do you think that you could help me get my plate from the counter using whatever power you have."
" Why don't you go get it?" I questioned before sipping my ice cream flavored Oreo milkshake. The icy taste of the ice hits you first making your brain freeze for a second before the chocolate flavor of the blended Oreo biscuits together with the blueberry ice cream flavor unfolds in your tongue and leaves a sort of icy hit on your tongue. You might not get my description if you've not tasted the ice cream flavored Oreo. There's an actual fla...
" Can you get it? Pretty please!" interrupted Aiden. How dare he interrupt my Oreo thoughts! I reached out to grab his ear and twisting it while lecturing him on Oreo thoughts break in before he could beg some more. That'll teach him! I shall not have mercy on those who disturb my Oreo thoughts!
"Summer, let go of your brother's ear this instant!" reprimanded Matthew. I opened my mouth to protest but Matthew beats me to it. He says, sighing, " It doesn't matter if it's about your Oreo thoughts, let go of his ear."
" Please do, my beautiful ear is going so red, don't you see?" complained Aiden. I let out a breath and let go of his ear. Gotta be the bigger person!
After that incident, breakfast went on as abnormally without any fights. We finished our breakfast before grabbing our things and heading for the Australian Travelator Station, also known as ATS. Adios to New South Wales and bonjour to Applecaniné!
