Chapter 20: The Discovery

Today was the day that our plan to get rid of Logan,was going to take action. I didn't know if it was good or bad that I was overly excited to exile that rich snob of a creep, but one thing was for sure is that I'm pretty sure if this plan goes perfectly everyone will be celebrating his leaving!

The only thing I was truly nervous about was getting caught by Logan and him reporting us to the camp directors on "invasion of his privacy". When really he is the one who has terrorized and blackmailed us all from the beginning! And if that's not him invading our privacy I don't know what is?!

I was knocked out of my vengeful trance by a knock on my cabin door.

I went to open the door to see Henry standing in front of me. Even though we have been an official couple for a while now, I still seem to get freakin' acrobatic butterflies on crack in my stomach each time I see his face, however cliche that sounds.

His hair was slightly ruffled as if he hurriedly brushed it after waking up and then came here. He wore a simple white T-shirt, blue jeans and some black converse and yet he still managed to look like a dang Hollister model without even trying!

As I was busy daydreaming about his perfect hair Henry snapped me out of my trance by speaking.

"Are you going to let me in or are you just going to keep staring and drooling uncontrollably at me?" he said sarcastically with one if his effortless smirks.

"I do not drool over people," I stated.

"Ah but you were staring uncontrollably correct?" he replied coyly.

I rolled my eyes without answering his question and instead just opened the door wider for him to enter the cabin.

Lucky for me Natalie was still sleeping, I contemplated on waking her up earlier but unless you want your face mauled off by an angry blonde I wouldn't recommend it considering I learned from experience. That girl sleeps like a rock and she claims she needs her beauty sleep or else her whole day is thrown off or some crap like that. And with her asleep I had more time to go over some details of the plan with Henry.

"So where is your blonde sidekick?" asked Henry.

"She is still sleeping, and unless you want to spend your day picking out her fake nails from your face, I suggest we let that sleeping beast lie in peace and let her wake up on her own," I replied.

"Umm okay thanks for the warning," he said cautiously.

"Anyway it seems like we have everything covered for the plan, and we just need to wait on Natalie to wake up, so what do you want to talk about?" I asked.

He was quiet for a moment that seemed to last forever. His eyes were darting around the room looking everywhere but me it seems, and his fingers were twitching nervously with his hands.

I started to grow worried about the situation until he finally spoke.

"Isabelle, what are... well...what are we gonna do about 'us' when the summer finally ends?" he asks hesitantly.

I was silent for a while I was utterly shocked, I knew one of us would ask that dreaded question soon, I specifically was thinking a lot about the subject recently, but I never realized it would be this soon to bring up and in this situation now.

I just simply replied, "Let's not think about that right now. We need to focus on what is happening right now and we can worry about that, when the time comes closer. But I still have you with me right now and that's all I want to think about right now."

What happened next I defiantly didn't expect though after that conversation. Henry then moved closer to me and hugged me tight like he never wanted to let go. I returned the hug, wrapping my arms around his slightly broad shoulders and him tucking his head in the crook of my neck.

When we finally separated he planted a small kiss on the side of my cheek and cupped my face in my hands while saying to me, "You are the best thing that has happened to me in a long time."

I was about to reply to his sweet statement when a voice behind us interrupts our little moment.

"Well, well what do we have here? Isn't it a little early to be this romantically involved with one another?" questioned the voice.

Henry and I both turned around to find a fully made-up short skirted, bit a cleavage showing from a white blouse, Natalie. Of course Natalie would be the one to suggest overly intimate 'things' to be happening right now.

"First of all it's like 10 o'clock in the afternoon, and second were you just eavesdropping on our entire conversation?" I questioned my roommate skeptically.

"Well 10 is early to me and I didn't listen to all of your conversation just the juicy parts!" she exclaimed.

"You know what, whatever, your just lucky today is an off day for us and we don't have any activities gong on for us today." I retorted.

"Hey, just remember this huge friggin' favor I'm doing for you missy! And second of all I am not a beast in the morning who claws peoples faces off! I'm just not that much of a morning person! Now are you two lovebirds ready to get this plan in action?"she completed.

"Yeah, let's go." I replied.

We arrived near Logan's cabin about 10 minutes later. All of us going over all the worst possible scenarios. Then we waited for about another 10-15 minutes until we saw Logan exit his cabin.

Just the sight of him gave me goosebumps and made me want to throw up. I shook the feeling from me as I nudged Natalie for her to start her role. With a slightly unwilling face she strutted off towards the ungodly creature known as Logan with a blinding smile and a posture that radiated confidence.

Henry and I waited back a while as we watched Natalie mouth some words to Logan and use her 'flirty face' with him to try and lead him away from the cabin. Logan's face was a mixture of amusement, confusion, and something else that made him look intrigued.

Man, I would have to owe Natalie big after all this is over I'm a bit scared for it. But at least I know why she took a theatre camp,her acting skills are actually really good but I would never admit that to her face I don't need to feed her already big ego even more. though I know if I were in her position I would have either fainted,thrown up, ran away or have done all three by now.

Natalie finally lead Logan away from the cabin and she explained she was going to take him towards the lake area which was on the other side of the camp from where his cabin was, and thankfully he didn't have a roommate so we don't need to worry about another person finding us.

Henry and I finally walked towards the cabin when we saw that there was no one around to see us. We immediately started looking for something to pin Logan to, but made sure we put everything back in its place as to not cause Logan to be suspicious of anything. It seemed as though we looked everywhere in the entire cabin and still found nothing that could be of use to us.

"I feel like we are in the show Scooby-doo right now trying to look for clues and all," Henry stated trying to lighten the mood of everything.

I managed a smile at that statement considering 'the gang' would've at least found a clue by now and we still have nothing.

I was about to tell Henry we should call it off until another time but that is when he found something.

"Hey, Izzy! I think Logan might be looking at something more than just a camp expulsion!" Henry shouted from Logan's room.

I followed Henry's voice to what looked to be Logan's bedroom.

"What is it? What did you find?" I asked.

I walked over to where Henry was standing,over at Logan's desk drawer, I stepped closer an looked inside the drawer.

Inside were dozens of plastic cards, I.D's; with different names and pictures on all of them. I recognized Logan on some of the cards, he had different names and ages, there were some people I also recognized,some people from camp.

"Isabelle, I think these are fake I.D's, I think Logan might be selling and making these things for campers to buy! But what I don't understand is that, everyone here thought he was rich,so why would he need to sell these? I mean how else was he able to afford to go to the other camp? I mean it cost like $8,000 just for one summer?!" he exclaimed.

I didn't understand any of this either, the only reason I could go to the other camp was because I got a scholarship that paid for it all and they only gave away 1 each year.

But one thing is for sure, we defiantly had something that could get Logan kicked out of camp,but before we could ponder it for too long a buzz came from my pocket. It was a text from Natalie.

Natalie: Get out of there now! He's coming back to get sunscreen!We are 2 minutes away! hurry!

Me: Try to hold him off a little longer we need more time to get out without being seen!

Natalie: He is actually buying my flirting with him! Idk how much longer I can take this! he thinks I actually like him!? he wants to go swimming, I can't believe I haven't barfed yet!

Natalie was losing it by the second, I went over to Henry, "We need to get out of here now!" I stated.

We both then rushed out of the cabin, but right as we were about to exit the door we saw Logan heading straight our way with Natalie quickly following behind him. We both ducked behind the door, there was only one exit and it was currently blocked, we were in deep poop right now.

I quickly texted Natalie.

Me: still inside distract him so we can get out!

I carefully looked out of the window. It looked like Natalie just read he text and an expression of worry coats her face.

She looked as if she were about to panic,but then it looked as if a thought crossed her mind and a slight look disgust covered her face. What she did next I certainly did not expect.

She caught up to Logan while quickly grabbed him by his arm, turned him around and kissed him right on the mouth!

She looked at me as I stood frozen staring at her she motioned to move. Logan seemed shocked as well but started kissing her back! Ew, what a pig I felt as I were defiantly about to barf then I could only imagine the torture Natalie was going through. I would rather slam my tongue in a car door than kiss that creep!

I quickly grabbed Henry as we made our escape back to my cabin.

A few minutes later I heard the door open and there stood Natalie her usual cheerful self gone and what looked to be an empty shell of a person standing there instead.

And then she walked closer to us and sat down, and then she spoke.

"I hope to god, you guys found something useful or else I will probably have to kill myself for doing all of 'that' for nothing,"she spat.

Henry had a look of confusion on his face, he obviously did not see what a big favor(well that's an understatement) Natalie did for us.

"Yeah,we got plenty of evidence," I said simply.

She was quiet for a moment, "Good, now if you will excuse me I need to take a long shower and will probably be brushing my teeth for the rest of eternity with extra strength mouth wash."

And with that she left for her room into the adjoining shower.

"Soo did I miss something as we left?" asked Henry.

"Yeah you could say that. In order for us to get out Natalie had to 'distract' Logan for us and she...well...she kissed him." I explained.

Henry's eyes grew wide with shock.

"You know you are going to be the one who will have to repay her for the rest of your life now right?" he concluded.

"Yeah... I know. But she will get over it eventually...I hope." I replied.

I knew I had to pay Natalie back for the rest of my life,for all she has done for me. But we had what we needed to get that creep out of our lives for good and I knew exactly how to get the counselors to make him leave.

Finally,something that surprise room inspections are actually good for!
