Problems
Rachel's POV
Watching Emma and the girl who's name I learned is Sophie makes me feel odd. We used to be like that. We used to do rock paper scissors together. She always beat me. As Emma gets up to go to the bathroom, I get up. I slowly walk, trying not to look like I'm following her. Once she enters the bathroom I wait outside the door until i know she's in the stall . If Emma and Sophie are gonna be with each other at camp, they at least have to have a horrible time. I get the trash and throw it into her stall."AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! What the what!!!" She screams. I quickly run out of the bathroom and back to my seat.
A few minutes later Emma comes out. It looks like she isn't telling anyone about the bathroom incident. I eat my food and just wonder if she knew it was me in there.
Emma's POV
After breakfast we went to our first activity, Zip lining. While we waited to go up, I spoke to Sophie."Guess what? Earlier, when I was in the bathroom, some knucklehead threw the trash into my stall! An old banana flew onto my face!" "What! Who's crazy enough to do that?" She said, obviously shocked. "I have no idea. They left before I could see them." "Are you gonna tell someone?
She wondered. "No, its my first time at camp, I don't want to ruin it by turning this into a inteorgation." I explain. Sophie nodded. "Yeah, I get that." "Emma! Sophie! Come on up!" Julie, the zipline instructor called. We began to walk up the spiral staircase. While i'm not scared of heights, this definitely made my stomach turn. The stairs had spaces between them, and it seemed like the staircase shaked every time you took a step. As the ground got farther and farther away, my insides seem to get farther way too. I'm even shaking a little. "Are you having a seizure?" Sophie teases. I roll my eyes and continue to walk up. Once we reach the top, Julie hooks me up to the line, and before long i'm zipping across the sky. I laugh as the ground zooms by below me, and i the trees next to me. I feel like Peter Pan! I zoom to the end of the line and hop off on the platform, and watch as Sophie zips over. "WOOOOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!" She screams. I laugh as she comes in what seems like at the speed of sound. "That was awesome!" She exclaims as she gets off the platform. "I know! I felt like a bird!" I giggle.
A few rotations later, we went to arts and crafts. Sophie was really looking forward to this, since she was really creative. We were painting abstract art. I painted a sunset, which sort of morphed together. Sophie, on the other hand, was amazing. She painted the lake in front of the lodge. It was so good, I thought i could see my own reflection in the painting of the water."Your art is gonna be, like, in a museum one day. It's so good." She blushed. "Thanks." She said. Once the activity finished, we put our painting on the windowsill to dry, then I went to the bathroom. I found myself being more aware and defensive, just in case someone had the nerve to throw trash on me again. However, nothing happened, at least in the bathroom. I saw Sophie in the arts and crafts room, not crying, but she looked so upset she looked like she's crying. Chelsea, the arts and crafts leader, was comforting her. I walked over. "Sophie, what happened?" I asked. Then I saw her painting, and gasped. It was completely ruined. It looks like someone dumped a entire ocean on it. The beautiful colors Sophie had painted were now just a blob of smudge black and blue. The paper was completely damp, and the paint was dripping off. It was like the paper was crying, and the paint was mascara. Who could do this? First me and the bathroom incident, now Sophie's painting? Who's grudge is against us? And, why?
