Had church today. My class talked about the contest between Baal and God. Obviously, Baal is not the true god. A few things that stuck out to me is that they were asking for fire. Baal is the god of fire and lightning. Another thing, Elijah poured about twelve gallons, probably more, of water over the alter he made. The land was in the middle of a drought. He was wasting precious resources to prove a point. Just something I thought to share.
I had 'work' (volunteering to teach the kindergarten class) and we talked to them about Jericho. We had them march around the room just like the Israelites. They enjoyed it.
Vacation Bible School started today and I loved the theme that was picked. The theme is Nights at the Museum. There are 'exhibits' everywhere around the church including a life-size model of Goliath. I love all of it. To make it better, my friend that was not going to be coming to volunteer actually visited and helped out today. It was nice to see her today even though I will not see her the rest of the week.

Fairly Local is by Twenty One Pilots. It was the very first song I heard by them before I even knew about the band itself. If I said otherwise, I was wrong. I first heard it being played on my (fairly) local Christian radio station, Power 88.3. They have an app if you want to listen to their music. They play alot more TOP.
