Many people do not know this but eight suicides can be found in the Bible. I will list them here in alphabetical order by name.

*Judges 9:54

*Abimelech

Abimelech was fatally injured, so he begged an armor-bearer to kill him.

*2 Samuel 17:23

*Ahithophel

After Ahithophel was rejected, he went home, cleaned up his affairs, and then he hung himself.

*Matthew 27:5

*Judas

After betraying Jesus, Judas was so upset and full of remorse that he hung himself.

*1 Samuel 31:3-6

*Saul (and some of his men)

After losing a battle king saul, his armor-bearer, and one of his servants killed themselves.

*Judges 16:29-31

*Samson

Samson sacrificed his life to fight off his enemy by letting a building collapse on him.

*1 Kings 16:18

*Zimri

Zimri refused to be a prisoner, so he set the palace on fire. He was engulfed in flames along with the palace.
